It's like being there to watch the creation of the universe - stunned amazement combined with overiding admiration of something beautiful and accurate brought to life before your own eyes, while simultaneously overjoyed at being given the gift of knowledge and learning, from the supreme being of modeling himself.
UNGLAUBLICH.
Beautiful. As always, nothing says "real rust" like actual real rust. Every effect is absolutely convincing. By the way- this in the USA would be what we call a "barn find", an old vehicle that had a problem someone couldn't fix so they parked it in a barn and basically forgot about it. Twenty, thirty, fifty years later a visitor buys it for a few hundred dollars and refurbishes it into a classic.
Sadly though, this is isn't always the case. I've seen many decent cars rot from to the frame because they where left out in a bad spot, and on one farm alone, their was a 65' Ford Galaxie, two 55 Renault Daulphines, a couple of Ford LTDs (1973 + 1975) and countless trucks and farm equipment. The chance of a vehicle being saved all depends on the owners willingness to take care of the vehicle or the willingness to sell it, but also the buyers drive to restore the car.
I love this stuff! Some people would look at this oddly but it is every bit art in every way. This is like a 3-D painting, total creativity and incredible thought and detail.
I want to do a scrap yard diorama or an old farmhouse with derelict tractors and vehicles. These videos are amazing for inspiration and techniques, however it may take a bit of practice to get to this level of realistic detail as you can over chip and weather. The dioramas this person creates is what inspires people to take up these hobbies, brilliant. Keep up the great work.
Amazing work, as usual. My only minor criticism: After years out in the sun, the bright red tail lights would’ve faded a lot to, the clear plastic would’ve become dull and opaque.
One of my truck kits I carefully took out the wood in the bed and left the metal beams it made it easier to really make the beams look authentic metal and once the wood was aged and stained it looked pretty solid and don't use popsicle sticks go to hobby lobby and get a sheet of craft wood it's worth it in the long run. Love your build by the way.
Great job! I also like building more used vehicles. You might not know that Chevrolet Cameo outer fenders are fiberglass on a steel bed box. I did gain knowledge from your wonderful video. Your flat tires are really impressive.
This made me think of all of the old trucks I have seen sitting in barns over the years. Where I live it used to be a common site until family farms got bought out. I swear there are probably old farmers driving a rust bucket like that around their family farm or on a back road. You nailed the look perfectly.
I've tried many different ways to rust model kits, (mostly with the salt rusting technique) but this looks better then anything I've done, it looks amazing! Truly a masterpiece, just like all your other builds!
This guys is awesome. The guys that are applying fake patina to their vehicles nowadays need to watch this video. I see so many that look more like a spotted cow than a natural patina.
This is perfection! I grew up around the corner from an auto wrecking yard that was full of cars from the 30s-50s. Its a shame to see them like this, but They Make It Like That!!
I love 1/24 scale, or 1/25 , my whole collection of cars and trucks is in this scale. I'd love one day to have the time and patience and skill to take them to your level. Excellent work.
This is one awesome video I really can't believe 51 people put a thumbs down for what, haters. To get a scale to look like that took a lot of skill and effort
The only thing I can add to this master build is to use your Dremmel and grind away the backside of the grille to make it see-through. Beautiful work. Thanks for showing it.
Excellent job, the foliage gave just the right touch it looks like years of pine needles have fallen into the cracks. The fabric really looks great and the draping effect really adds another dimension to the piece. The perfect combination of mediums and a perfect balance, I would love to see the whole diorama when it’s completed I bet it will be breathtaking.
I really love how you don't just build the models you put your own creative spin on them make them unique you're very talented and inspired me to get back into making models again I hadn't made a model since I was a little girl with my dad building rally cars keep up the great work look forward to every model you make
I have watched several of your videos. Your work is exceptional and without equal. The models I have seen you make and paint are truly lifelike. Excellent work !!
You tantalise with a small part of the diorama and have us wondering what it will be....great job and so realistic.....let's see what the story tells! Amazing creation to reveal what's in the creator's mind.
Love the look of this. If there is a criticism it's that the bed sides and tailgates of the Cameos we're fiberglass and didn't rust. Much like Corvettes. The work is outstanding though.
Awesome detailing and weathering. The only thing I would have added would be brackets for the generator, the way kits have them floating on the belt is something all models have.
This is some of the best work I've see so far, you should be very proud of this, I'm doing a mad max style mustang and this has given me the inspiration I need to have a go, thank you
Wow. I like watching this way better then a movie. Its so good if you would take a picture people wil think it's a real car on the yard. Amazing!! Greetings,, Kitty.
Perfection!! I was looking for a good video on how to age wood- you almost showed how- the two pieces of wood in the back are the exact look I was looking for. :)
Haven't seen such great work and effort before one thing you should have put more oil on the engine than rust cause engines after sitting for a long time will gather oil on the engine but the rest amazing work!!!
Hello, I found the best way to make a flat tire is to make a small slice the tire and wedge something in there. This will spread the tire out and looks convincing enough to be a flat. Also note it really only works on hollow cast vinyl tires that come factory with most kits.
For all concerned. Whenever you see the term Cameo attached to a pickup truck. It was a special edition truck sold with a fiberglass bed with a unique shape. It was intended to go after the youth market especially the surfers they were sold with only 8' (2.44m)beds. Hence no rust can be apparent. Just paint issues and if fiberglass exposed then debonding of fibers. Cheers. You still get a thumbs up from me. Best regards John.
Exquisite modelling as usual. Your dioramas pack a powerful punch sometimes and are enough to bring me to tears, but in this time of turmoil and uncertainty, perhaps something uplifting for a change?
Somethings is so visually appealing about seeing an old rusty truck like that. You did an excellent job
Thank you Martin

Again, having watched you do it, I'm still not entirely sure how you did it. Amazing work.
Thank you
I'm truly blown way, how you can turn a simple model into a master peace
Thank you John
Your eye for color and detail is amazing!
Thank you Rob
Beautiful build. Love the details, the rust, the grind... such a good model ! Love it ! Can't wait for the diorama.
Thank you Emil😀
Looks like its been standing around in a barn for years just rotting away. Fantastic build and finish. Top stuff.
Thank you 😀

Amazing work, as usual. My only minor criticism: After years out in the sun, the bright red tail lights would’ve faded a lot to, the clear plastic would’ve become dull and opaque.
I think the headlight and taillight lenses would have still been glass in 1955.
I also take note on that minor detail, but maybe this is a "barn find car diorama", look the corrosion in the truck, its superficial, no holes
Felipe Lara A “barn find” would be covered in pigeon poop :)
I agree it is amazing work, but the bedsides on a Cameo were fiberglass and would not succumb to rust
George Main yup.
I've watched this video 3 times already and I'm still blown away. Magic... pure magic.
I hit the like button before I watched the video. I knew I'd love it and I was not disappointed. Another outstanding build.
Thank you Andy
No matter the scale in which you choose to work, you ALWAYS achieve you special magic! Danke.

i keep trying my hardest but you keep raising the bar with these builds. I'm not going to stop though. your channel motivates me. Don't ever stop.

Just wonderful, and the layers and textures are bloody brilliant, not too mention your artistic flare tops it off. I loved it.

You add a lot of details but man your paintwork really brings everything alive. I’ve learned much from you in way of paint weathering.
Thank you 👍
