I got a 51 chevy AMT 1/25, and I must say it is a beauty, a massive beauty. Mine is with a 6 in line engine, fuel injection. The body color is metalic black anthracite. Those exhaust headers are very alike, I must say, but of course, with 6 pipes. This one is a beauty, and the work you've done is outstanding, fabulous. Ok fellas, have a great time working on your respective e projects: I'm now on a 69 boss mustang 302 in 1/25 by revell. All the best to everyone from Mexico!
I'm going to be giving that salt method a go on my next Armour kit, it looked great and the texture it gave was perfect for exposed exhausts. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing your vids with us

Nice looking barn find Chevy. The salt method works good. Nice tutorial on you builve a few of the original issues from about 1990. I find it to be a decent kit. Its possible the later re-releases had issues.
Awesome and unique build. Excellent choice of colours and top job done on weathering. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend.
Great job, the only thing you missed was the rocker panels. They should have been rusted with a few holes in them like you would have found with a real car. Gonna have to try this kit. Thanks.........
Warped parts are surely no fun I bought 2 revell custom vans and both were bad What made then worse was body, floor and frames were the warped parts and one wheel on one was crushed Took my many years of building knowledge i learned and managed to save them
Nice job. I'm about to build this same kit. I'm going to do a weathered two-tone. Can you suggest a spray paint that's close to the ivory that came factory?
You did about the only thing this kit is good for. By far the worst kit that I have tried building since I started back up 5 years ago. Looks cool though, awesome job
Hey no problem. I used dry pigments. Another option is water down dust colored acrylic paint and cover the windows and as it drys it’ll look like a layer of dirt.
Is your Spray Paint Booth inside the house? Is it vented to the outside or just inside the house with the fan? Does it mitigate the paint fumes if used inside? Your thoughts are welcomed. kindest regards.
It’s in a garage and I have a vent that runs from the spray booths fan to a window. I also use a mask when spraying because I don’t wanna breathe that stuff in.

That's awesome, I'm doing my 55 now, not a barn find, and my parts are ok. Still yours came out great.
Nice. Had the same problem with a Monogram’55 Chevy turned it into a junkyard find as well.

Great weathering techniques, really gave it the old rusty car look. Very nice!
Thanks Jethro!
In my old model book they used bendy straws for the hoses and used thread to do plug wires.
Nice weathering.
Look forward to see more videos..

Super cool how it turned out for you. It's definitely a "when life hands you lemons" type deal and you did a tremendous job building it up still.
Thanks so much!

Looks like a great build. I have this kit, but I haven't finished it yet. Once you put the pigments on, did you seal them in place with anything?
Nice job. I'm about to build this same kit. I'm going to do a weathered two-tone. Can you suggest a spray paint that's close to the ivory that came factory?
The rear axle assembly is warped in my kit. Hopefully I can straighten it out.
You can try using hot water and attempt to straighten it that way. This kit is a mess. Thanks for watching
Damn fine work, and you got a new sub
Thanks Rick! Much appreciated!

Have you thought about doing a Mad Max style car/cars, I think you would do an amazing job at those
THANK YOU.
I’ve been looking for a way to make layer of dust on the body..
You did the same for the windows?
Wet
Pigment
Dry
More pigment?

Awesome! How did you get the salt to stick to the sides?
I just wet the areas with water that I wanted the salt to stick to.
How did you do the windows
New follower, wonderful video. How did you make the wash? Acrylic paint diluted with water? or other medium?
Hey! Thanks for watching. I just used straight water with the acrylic paints and kept adding water until I made it the texture I was looking for.
And thanks for subscribing!
Looks awesome, should of flated one or two of the tires
Thanks! Yea I was going to but didn’t know exactly how to pull it off. Need to check out some more tutorials on how to do that

Interior on my kit was warped and just wouldn't fit. Ditched it entirely and blacked out the windows.
