I think this song did a lot to convert her, so to all who suggested it, good call!!!. If you liked the intro song at the start of the video and want to show us some love, then check out our band, LemonTech, we have our first EP up on on all streaming platforms :)
This is the song you should use to introduce anyone to Tool... Schism was a few steps ahead... now you should follow with Forty Six & 2 or Parabol/Parabola, and then with Lateralus the convertion will be complete.
Awesome, you did The Pot next! Great song on its own, but also great choice for bringing people into their music more. Maybe Parabol+Parabola next, seems like a natural step from The Pot.
This band led me to meditation and after decades of practice, I can confirm the validity of the wisdom contained in Maynard’s lyrics, and there is magic in their music. Thanks for bringing someone onboard the Tool journey. Aum Shanti Shanti Shanti
You were talking bout covering some Tool songs? Check out Meytall Cohen covering 46an 2 and the pot on drums, she's the only person that i no of that can do it justice
as a old musician, and vocalist, its wonderful to see her and yourself, step outside the old structure of music. its supposed to be about you doing you. not what everyone else says you should be doing. Well done
One of the things that always blows my mind about tool is that the music parts are completed, and then Maynard writes the vocal parts. To me it is an underated element of what makes tool so unique. The band sends the music in to the maynard void and this is what comes back. Brilliant!
It really depends on the song though, because some of them has instrumental that completely aligns with funk metal, or progressive metal. Progressive Metal/Progressive Hard Rock would be the best way to describe them, I think.
Totally loved the fact that you both loved this song and the musicianship involved in the making of this song!! Actually liked the fact that you loved the tone of Maynard Keenan's voice. My only suggestion is that you listen to the song again and pay close attention to the actual meaning of the lyrics!
Something that some reactors do is, after listening to the song where they pause and talk about it during the song, They then listen to is again right after off camera uninterrupted before giving final thoughts. Since she said that she wanted to go on that journey again I thought I suggest perhaps doing that.
They call her a shaman girl! I recommend making a reaction to one of the best vocalists in the world. Meet Diana Ankudinova! Diana has the title - Queen of Goosebumps. Challenge yourself, can you resist the charm of her voice? One of the last comments about Diana's voice: Pffff.... her voice is really very special, unclassifiable, atypical, out of the ordinary... 💖 1) super unique voice (dramatic contralto with polyphonic overtones); 2) the most complex vocal techniques, a bewitching voice; 3) Diana sings in 6 languages : English, French, Russian, German, Spanish, Arabic and any musical genre; 4) incredible charisma, artistry and living of any song; 5) a range of 4 octaves, which at the age of 20 is far from the limit and will continue to grow; 6) a large army of fans around the world; 7) an independent artist, without producers and labels, only with the support of fans and reactors like you; 8) more than 17 thousand reactions. Some reactions have 3.7 million views. The incredible fate of a girl found with a broken collarbone at a bus stop and ended up in an orphanage.
One of the most famous hits of the king of rock 'n' roll in an unrivaled gorgeous, phenomenal performance by Diana Ankudinova ( 18 y.o.) Can’t Help Falling in Love (Elvis Presley / DARK VERSION cover) VERY IMORTANT, the video must be original (duration - 8.56m) from Diana's channel, NOT a short pirated copy from "brocoli". 12 million views 285k likes - total 1220 reactions to this performance by Diana. ❗ATTENTION: 1) Please use ONLY original content from Diana Ankudinova official channel. 2) Videos from TV shows are often blocked by UA-cam and video EDITING is required. Keenan actually writes to the music. Once the guys create the sound they send it to Keenan he listens then writes to the music. You want to hear Keenan really go all out with his voice watch the video Judith by A Perfect Circle. real emotion there and the bases pulls an impressive move in the middle of the song. Have fun.
you guys should react to the cover "Kids Play 46&2 by Tool" You guys will be glad you did. It's a great video and it is for a good cause, a free music school for kids.
“A rainbow arc of cannonballs in the sky….” is probably one of the best descriptions of Danny Carey’s compositions in TOOL. Super, super visionary and insightful observation.
Hahaha we absolutely are, I’m trying to organize a better filming spot for the future (or find some furniture) but for the next few videos we’ll just be pressed up against this wall looking awkward 😂
Great tune! Glad she liked it. Every new Tool song will be her favorite Tool song. Looks like you're low budget, which is fine. But maybe in the future get some mics on you instead of a room mic. The audio of the song is great and looks like you're not letting the mic pick up music from a speaker. But you guys are a little hard to hear. I have to turn you way up and then the music is way too loud.
Kangaroo hung jury filled with interference..wave your fingers and convict the innocent. Slap on the wrist and blame indifference? Isn't that the reason why we exist?
I think it's nigh impossible to do a great reaction sitting next to someone else who's heard the music so many times that they are air drumming and guitaring to the music....the peripheral site: I would call noise, would be too distracting for me to focus and fully enjoy uninfluenced. Maybe if you'd introduce her then have her listen to music with you outside of the room....
I can assure you that we are very much lost in our own world when we listen to music, you could pretty much be doing jumping jacks in front of us and it wouldn’t matter haha, but thanks for the concern. I like your name ✌🏼
I don't think she's into it. And that's ok, not everyone is born with great taste in music. Tool is magic to the ears. You can't make someone understand what they don't.
She actually listened to this song several times in the days after filming this and said it was the one that made her get excited about the band! But to your point, I think sometimes it’s hard to gauge the response on these first time reactions cause TOOL is a lot to take in. I think it wouldn’t be very genuine / realistic if the vast majority of people, upon first listen, immediately grasped it fully and loved it to the level we do, especially if they mainly listen to other kinds of music. There’s a lot of TOOL songs I certainly appreciated on a technical level on first listen, but then truly fell in love with several listens after. And lastly, we definitely made the conscious decision to simply vibe out to the music and listen to it like how we would if we were alone, rather than taking ourselves out of the experience by being extra performative. We did several songs in one night and I 100% sensed a large difference in her opinion / excitement for the band by the end of it, it was pretty cool to see :)

As Adam Jones said, it's Metal, it's Grunge, it's Munge. 😀 Metal is def a huge part of their sound, always been, even if they pretty much made their own version of it.
@@lenni-hazelsLove the Metal gatekeepers in the comments. Tool is Metal, it always has been. Metal is so many things, and so many things are Metal. Now, A Perfect Circle, I don't think I'd consider them Metal, although some individual songs certainly are.
@@PaulGuy Totally agree! I understand some folks want their metal "pure" but turning it into a policing debate is silly. Alt Rock works for me (for APC), but I don't get too hung up on genres. It's all Rock'n Roll in some way, originating from blues and then taking a few turns. Genres should help to talk about music, not restrict it!
I've always been convinced that TOOL is not just a band, they are a vehicle to take you to places you have felt but never fully experienced.
They made me feel them at a very inappropriate age and I thank them for it
@@seansmith4880 Inappropriate? lol there isn't an age limit to a mind blow job...

Right in Two is a must! If you didn't do that already!
46&2 has to be next! Her mind will be blown‼️🤯💯🔥

Dude, she is diggin it like a full course meal. So content with all the subtle flavor. Tool is all up in her kitchen like a Guy Fieri. Thanks y’all!
Bro this comment wins. What did it win? Yes.
Should have her listen to some A Perfect Circle also.
Awesome, you did The Pot next! Great song on its own, but also great choice for bringing people into their music more. Maybe Parabol+Parabola next, seems like a natural step from The Pot.
The way she slowly turns her head when that bass first kicks in...love it! I feel like you would also love 46 & 2, Pneuma, and even Fear Innoculum
its the E-Gitare that comes in, lol
This band led me to meditation and after decades of practice, I can confirm the validity of the wisdom contained in Maynard’s lyrics, and there is magic in their music. Thanks for bringing someone onboard the Tool journey. Aum Shanti Shanti Shanti

Bet she would love Lateralus. Subbed
Wow ! You heard the bass player and actually commented on it.. good job 👍🏻
You gotta spread the word more with your friends great reaction
Looking forward to your Tool cover.

We love to hear that! That was the second song we ever made together :)
THE GRUDGE!!!!!

Tool is not a band but a perfect team.absolute the best😊

Epic Band
I love the reaction a lot the way you both are referring to them Tool is amazing
You said one of the most perfect lines to describe Tool’s music. You almost have to cover it in order to deconstruct and understand it. Well said.
0:55 ..... YET 🤘😎
Jambi! DO JAMBI NEXT!
I feel like this song is the best song to introduce someone TOOL to
A masterclass in music
Tool is not Metal. Tool is it's own genre. If you absolutely had to shove them in a box, Progressive Hard Rock would be close.
It really depends on the song though, because some of them has instrumental that completely aligns with funk metal, or progressive metal. Progressive Metal/Progressive Hard Rock would be the best way to describe them, I think.
I would say tool is progressive metal because most of their sounds fit metal
I was literally about to say almost the same thing, you definitely can't fit Tool under one label and I would have to add alternative to what you said
Check these guys out, 1973-77 pre-Tool, Ramones, Sex pistols. "The Punks trailer F**K those cops".

once she's a bit more in to it, you gotta do Lost Keys+Rosetta Stoned
Great video, can't wait for more. Try Nightwish live wakken 2013 with Floor Jansen, the Valkyrie.
