We filmed one more song that night in addition to this one, so that will come out next. That said, I'm thinking "Right In Two" could be next after that? What do you guys think? And if you liked the intro song at the start of the video and want to show us some love, then check out our band, LemonTech, we have our first EP up on on all streaming platforms :)
Jesus. I just fucking love all the UA-cam love being given to Tool. Years and years I've tried to get my own folk and friends to grok this band, with no luck. Tool is niche. Well, Tool WAS niche. You're helping out, and very fucking nicely done.
I think I am in the minority when I say I prefer the studio version over the Salival version. The Salival version is great but imo only if you have experienced the original. It misses the insane soundscape being created by Adam in the original
I just saw them live Nov 1st and they sound the same if not better than their recorded works. This band consists of perfectionists at the top of their game.
18:55 - Maynard sounding like Florence is kind of funny, as her band was formed in 2007 and that TOOL song was on an album which was released in 1996 (live version in 2000). That being said it is normal to search and find references and similarities through our music knowledge and experiences.
Haha yeah the point was definitely not to say Maynard was inspired by her, but that something in their vocal delivery and technique is somewhat similar in that given moment, or something like that. Honestly I have no clue about this stuff though cause I don’t sing at alll 😂
You can always count with MJK to come up with interesting phrasing for his songs. To touch on her comment on MJK having different techniques, he's very eclectic in his taste, for example his favourite artist is Joni Mitchell. And correct if I'm wrong but he grew up singing in a church? Anyways, diversity of ideas within Tool is quite immense.
Yeah, there's very little tweaked in post production. Especially in their gigs around the year 2000, my first tool experience being 2001, at Westpac Trusts Stadium in my hometown of Christchurch, New Zealand. It sounded amazing.
I don't know if you two know this or not but Mynard James Keenan (from TOOL) sings in two other bands: A Perfect Circle and his own music project called: Puscifer -- a farrago of adult humor to serious topics. If you want to hear just how broad, convincing, and comprehensive his style range is, check out these two other bands.
I'm gonna suggest 1) spruce the room up more than 2 chairs and shitty neon sign that's out of focus/overwhelming the camera 2) face each other with 3 cameras, one one you one on her and one the both of you
This version is tricky since most of his energy and pain are hidden. This is about growing up and seeing how abuse destroys all happiness using words like love. Maynard knows that if not put in check, it will have devastating effects on his future relationships.

YEEES!
Right in Two is a great choice. Even without the lyrics, the instruments tell a story.
Parabol/Parabola.
Right in two or two or sober. Save parabol/parabola until later
The engineer for this concert deserves a raise
Goosebumps every single time 🔥🔥🔥
Me too

Hey there tool army Buddy. So glad to see you spreading the love of this music. Spiral out.
I have changed my addiction from substance abuse to watching people become tool fans… shits addicting and I’m not joking hahaha

1:00 - You are right, they are tablas, but not samples they were played live for that show. Danny was accompanied on stage by his mentor Aloke Dutta.
Ahh ok sweet! Thank you for that
Gotta do the song the Grudge and also show her a perfect circle song Judith

I definitely think the studio version should, at least, be introduced first.
I think this version is so great because of how awesome the studio version is.
@@jamesstevens4795 im og bud. Been to 7 since Anemia dropped
The studio version is so cinematic in its feel. Both our amazing in their own unique way.
you're not alone the studio version is better in my opinion
Going to see TOOL live on October 20th!
TOOL has the best live shows! They’re on tour now, if possible you need to catch a live show!
Ohhh so jealous! I hope u have an amazing time!

I've always liked Parabol & Parabola for introducing people to the fold. Keep spiraling out!

You really need the studio version, well check back often, love her reactions.
One of my all time favorites. I used to pit this on at night when going to bed. It's so beautiful.
I say The Grudge or The Patient instead of Right in Two first.
The best❤
This is the version to listen to, No quarters as well from same album

Do Salival Third Eye next or Eulogy off Ænima
