When i was a kid i had two cheap stereo's that i played my guitar through. I played into the aux on one and ran the speaker output into the aux on the other which completely overloaded the preamp stage and i swear it sounded exactly like this pedal!
I had a kenwood tape deck that the drive stopped working so I used it as an amplifier similar without the glitching but when overdriving it was similar. I just ordered one of these third man plasmas. I’ve been looking at the other ones for a while now.
Lol..i did this too. I had a TEAC tape deck hooked to a Marantz reciever. I would plug my guitar into the MIC input and turn the record input knob all the way up and peg the record meter, this made the guitar heavely distort.
What I love about Rabea is that you can notice he does these reviews because he really thinks it’s fun and not to make money of it alone. Keep it up man. God bless :)
Ordered the original plasma pedal as soon as I heard it last year. Awesome, over the top distortion. This is a new animal! Damn my wallet is not going to be pleased.
Had the good fortune of playing this beast of a pedal at Guitar Summit last year. Absolutely insane sound! Also, the lads from gamechanger are phenomenally nice.
The entire width and breadth of human emotion encapsulated in one pedal! Only 'Bea possesses the fortitude to reveal them all in one video! I must go weep bitterly now.
Super awesome video man! I find it cool to see how one artist approaches another's creation. Like is a blues man, and your style is quite different, so the adaptation of this thing to what you like to do is awesome.
Never before have I actually enjoyed my ears hurting. Lol. Perhaps its these crummy phone speakers. But that AWESOME opening jam was PIERCING! Fantastic.
i was not shure which plasma pedal i should buy, you just made that choice very easy haha THANK YOU! ps your facial expressions when hitting the tones just right are excellent :D
Your vids kick ass Man U should do many more sir. Love seeing u playing Gibson and fenders. I know u have your signature guitars but man those fenders and Gibson’s sound so good with your playing. I see both of them doing a signature ax. Great work man !!!
Everybody in the comments is hyping up his strat run-through so hard, but I actually preferred the other 2 guitars with it most. They + the pedal sound a lot wilder and less generic than with the strat, in my opinion. Oh shoot right after I typed that he went into the nasty nasty nasty nasty nasty nasty nasty part at 19:15 . Forget it. This pedal just rules
freaking awesome. sounds like godzilla eating his lunch. :) :) :) great playing, hearing steppenwolf, Blue Oyster Cult, Van Halen, Grohl, Morello, White (duh).
Awesome demo as always 🔥🔥🔥 Did you try it together with the Coppersound / Jack White tripplegraph? Awaiting mine to arrive and thinking they could be fold together. Do you have a demo of those two together perhaps? Best 🤘
If you were going to buy three essentials pedals, would the Plama Coil be one of them? I am overwhelmed which one's to buy... Which one's would be top three? I love the sounds coming out of this one.
Nikola Tesla invented the "Tesla Coil." Soon Musk, named his electric automobile after him. There is a video on YT from the Jim Jarmusch film, "Coffee & Cigarettes," called "Jack Shows Meg his Tesla Coil.
Love your presentations, ALWAYS! Much love, keep killing it B!!!! What kinda action do you have on that Gibson is it very high, to rock that slide like that?
Hey Rabea, iv watched a few of your videos on pedals I want to get, but I have idea and was wondering if you could make a video so I can see how it sounds. Not sure if it's already been done but could you play through the boss sy-1 pedal and the plasma coil? I'd really like to see what they sound like together.
If you like the high voltage stuff check out these Estonian distortions and amps www.udaloff.com/products/ I used to have T-324/325 in the past, they sound very clean and angry!
I don’t know if it’s just me but there seems to be a weird background noise from the fuzz. It could just be ‘part of the sound’ and probably something you wouldn’t really notice when you’re the player. But once you hear it, it’s hard not to. Awesome playing as usual though Bea!
15:14 perfect finger-snap sample, for any beatmakers who might be watching lol
When i was a kid i had two cheap stereo's that i played my guitar through. I played into the aux on one and ran the speaker output into the aux on the other which completely overloaded the preamp stage and i swear it sounded exactly like this pedal!
I know, can you believe it?
I had a kenwood tape deck that the drive stopped working so I used it as an amplifier similar without the glitching but when overdriving it was similar. I just ordered one of these third man plasmas. I’ve been looking at the other ones for a while now.

12:26 looks like a 8bit NES action game song. Epic.
It’s like a HIFI distortion/fuzz. You can hear every note played despite the wall of sound. Really awesome sounding pedal.
It's shrill AF and not in a pleasant way. No wonder these things haven't been used much outside of niche play.
What I love about Rabea is that you can notice he does these reviews because he really thinks it’s fun and not to make money of it alone. Keep it up man. God bless :)
Love the Nikola Tesla Wardenclyffe Tower artwork. That’s cool.
That sorta stuff is all over TMR stuff
18:00 onwards just reminded me of the background music from the old school atari computer games. Loved it
Dang, I usually don’t see demo vids where the playing matches the pedal, but Rabea really matches what the pedal is giving him
That thing is amazing! That’s the kind of pedal that gets the creativity juices pumping.
When you plugged in the strat and I could tell you were really digging it, I couldn't help but grin in agreement!
Lost my mind when you pulled out the slide, that was epic
Its at 9:35 if anyone is looking for that.
Ordered the original plasma pedal as soon as I heard it last year. Awesome, over the top distortion. This is a new animal! Damn my wallet is not going to be pleased.
Luckily back then I got it for $150 and it came numbered signed! It's like $300 US now 😅
Appart from the octaves is there a difference between the 2?
That has to be the best demo I've seen of this pedal. Could've jammed out to some of those riffs all day
Man that pedal is packed with the coolest tones!
Had the good fortune of playing this beast of a pedal at Guitar Summit last year. Absolutely insane sound! Also, the lads from gamechanger are phenomenally nice.
Appart from the octaves knob is there a difference with the previous plasma pedal?
I literally bought the Plasma Drive with my Strat in mind (okay, fine... also because the xenon tube is cool looking AF).... Great pedals!
Cool demo of this unit dude! Love the facial expressions...they are gold!
Definitely want to pick one of these units up!
That Les Paul, dude!
One of the most beautiful guitars I've ever seen. Very nice video, btw! Cheers! =)
Fuggin' GLORIOUS with the Strat!!
Damn lively beast, sort of pedal that I would def keep coming back to.
Reminds me of some of the fuzz tones that linde from HIM used to use... And I've been searching for that kind of fuzz for so long
The entire width and breadth of human emotion encapsulated in one pedal! Only 'Bea possesses the fortitude to reveal them all in one video! I must go weep bitterly now.
That ripping, velcro-like sound is godly!
The last time I was this early the Super Kraken was still a Little Squid...
Is that a Splatoon reference? Because if it is, I'm into it.
Love the Demo. Love Your Show. Thanks 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
Their stuff sounds great!
Imagine using a univibe pedal with this!!especially a violet vibe
That thing is so cool. That gas connecting trick should be mandatory on every distortion pedal.
Super awesome video man! I find it cool to see how one artist approaches another's creation. Like is a blues man, and your style is quite different, so the adaptation of this thing to what you like to do is awesome.
15:20 The Brown Sound? LOL.... Certainly LOOKS like you were straining one there, Rabea!
Holy, Dirty and gritty as all hell!! Love the display on there
Never before have I actually enjoyed my ears hurting. Lol. Perhaps its these crummy phone speakers. But that AWESOME opening jam was PIERCING! Fantastic.
I get the feeling that a single coil pickup guitar, like the Strat would sound & track better with the Octave effects on....
Tears in the fabric of the universe!
dude great demo, ran through the parameters nicely, gettin me one of these bad boys
i was not shure which plasma pedal i should buy, you just made that choice very easy haha THANK YOU! ps your facial expressions when hitting the tones just right are excellent :D
Hey bea great playing! When are you gonna make vids on the new sig guitars ?
Bea is like the best one to watch for gear demos!
Funny but my favorite tone was with the strat. I did not expect that at all. Well done!
Not that funny, fuzzes always sound better with single coils
Awesome demo. I just ordered one. Looks like a blast.
Octave tracks really well? Love the dirt !!!
I really like this on a strat!
I've got one arriving in a few days. Stoked to wire it up. Your playing is so sick dude! Love it!!! 🤘🤘🤘
"It's angry in such a good way..." at that moment my speakers explode..... lol
Thirty seconds in and I’m in love already.
8:05
Lmao the guitarist equivalent of spaghetti out the fanny pack
I'm not sure who took that plasma coil's lunch money but it is right angry!!!!
Ohhhhh! Wonderful! ☺
I tried the original Plasma Drive, and it is amazing. One of these days, I need to A/B it against this, so I will know which one to get.
Your vids kick ass Man U should do many more sir. Love seeing u playing Gibson and fenders. I know u have your signature guitars but man those fenders and Gibson’s sound so good with your playing. I see both of them doing a signature ax. Great work man !!!
dang i loved the quirk of the low gain choked sound, goofy af
...that pedal itz indeed one of the most insane shit I've seen relating to octave/fuzzes......it's a must-to-get on my gear list already...damn....
You just need a shitty combo amp and it sounds the same for less money lmao
It sort of sounds like musical farts when the gain gets choked off, especially in the upper register
Got one from my wife for Xmas and it is ridiculous. Very much worth the extra$
Everybody in the comments is hyping up his strat run-through so hard, but I actually preferred the other 2 guitars with it most. Love that Tesla coil sound
18:15 I felt like I was watching The Sorcerer's Apprentice.
5:06 Me when I see this pop into my feed
yes
Yes.
favorite part of the video!
Yes
fuck me the strat sounded so fucking good. lucky im a strat owner
Looks like you're having fun.
Good LORD 😲 speechless 🤔☝️😲
Now I have to find $350 😩
MEGA TONES!
Killer review killer pedal
Nice review! Cool pedal.
freaking awesome. sounds like godzilla eating his lunch. :) :) :) great playing, hearing steppenwolf, Blue Oyster Cult, Van Halen, Grohl, Morello, White (duh).
That looks so sick! I was one of the few to pre order the original game changer plasma, wish it was orange but purple is cool too (:
jaw swinging-ly good fuzz
Awesome demo as always 🔥🔥🔥 Did you try it together with the Coppersound / Jack White tripplegraph? Awaiting mine to arrive and thinking they could be fold together. Do you have a demo of those two together perhaps? Best 🤘
Well damn... Nice, Bea!
Sounds like a very angry fuzz. Not my thang but I could see uses for it. 🤘🤘🤘
Best hair in the business!
At 18min in I went that's freaking cool..then you said it also haha
hahah that face close up! amazing
This sound very dime esque
I want that universal audio neon sign
Yes
If you were going to buy three essentials pedals, would the Plama Coil be one of them? I am overwhelmed which one's to buy... Which one's would be top three? I love the sounds coming out of this one.
It's not voltage that kills.. it's current!
Is there no end to the madness lol
Nikola Tesla invented the "Tesla Coil." Soon Musk, named his electric automobile after him.

Love your presentations, ALWAYS!
Much love, keep killing it B!!!!
What kinda action do you have on that Gibson is it very high, to rock that slide like that?
The lack of the blend knob on the Third Man version keeps it from being perfect.
What a disgusting sound, I love it! Wish it wasn't so pricey :-\
sick!
Hey Rabea, iv watched a few of your videos on pedals I want to get, but I have idea and was wondering if you could make a video so I can see how it sounds. Damn you get some monster tones out all guitars. Sounds EPIC the pedal is a bit to rich for my budget.
Barre chords help us evaluate pedals in ways that super fast riffs do not.
Someone's been listening to a lot of Philip Sayce again 😂
If you like the high voltage stuff check out these Estonian distortions and amps www.udaloff.com/products/ I used to have T-324/325 in the past, they sound very clean and angry!
Cool strat määääään :--)
NICE.. I'm going to be completely honest with you I had to shave the fuzz off my speakers! lol
Sounds a lot like the Raingerfx Dr Frankenstein Chop Fuzz in a way..
I don’t know if it’s just me but there seems to be a weird background noise from the fuzz. It could just be ‘part of the sound’ and probably something you wouldn’t really notice when you’re the player. But once you hear it, it’s hard not to. Awesome playing as usual though Bea!
By the way you make the best guitar faces! lol :)
i wanna crank this one up on my les paul in A# standard tuning
Should try a Ampeg Scrambler.
Rab....please...that intro wasn't even the least bit sick
Today is opposite day
I'd have one for occasional recording parts for some different sounds but at 340 pounds I can't see these flying off the shelve.
It reminds me of my Beetronics Swarm
