Definitely one of their hardest songs but they have sooooo many that you have to listen to. Prison Song, Sugar, Spiders, Toxicity, Aerials, Hypnotize, Lost in Hollywood, Question!, and so many more.
Love you, dude. You’re one of my top two rectors. Love you so much, how you research, you pay attention, and you’re sharp af how you pick up on symbolism. You truly love the music and appreciate the purpose of music, which is enjoyment, yeah, but also a way for the people to communicate their own message. Love it. Please react to Prison Song by SOAD. You will not be disappointed. Btw, you mentioned that you know BYOB as be your own boss, but before that it was a term used for partying and meant “bring your own beer” so they were playing off that in yet another reference to how we’re oblivious while lives are lost and our own people (the poor) are sent off to fight the wars. Love you, man. Please keep this up. Watching you makes me smile. ❤
Lost In Hollywood is my fav SoaD song. Both vocalists are featured and the song is just beautifully magical MMBxMOB BYOB (bring your own bombs) Masters of War by Bob Dylan is the greatest protest/anti-war song ever made. Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam gave the greatest performance of it!!!
In my generation it meant Bring Your Own Booze. When getting an invitation to a party it would often state BYOB. (Obviously not referring to Booze here)
Bring your own Beer; turned into Bring your own Bombs. ; The duality of the song is awesome - I would have definitely taken my 2%. Great reaction Any song from them except Aerials please
@@bredsheeran9453 I really didn't get into it that much; to me it seemed like a radio friendly 'Sell out' song.... especially compared to their songs against the 'System.' & then I watched the video and disliked it even more. My opinion don't mean $h!t; but there it is.
I truly hope he’s moved past his sloppy drunk era into his smoke weed at night before watching cool tv shows and only getting happy drunk intermittently (like me) era. Cuz honestly has anyone ever said a bad word about Ed? Seems like THE nicest dudes.
I got hit by lightning, walked away unharmed, tingler for 4 hours and was wide awake for 3 solid weeks. I'm angry cos no one was out walking thru that storm with me, so i have no witnesses. I was soaking wet under 3 layers of clothes and a coat. I was singing Get Free by the Vines, a GREAT song. I don't recommend singing it in the rain, tho. Best part of song is when it struck. I saw nothing but blueish white light, and the BOOM rocked my ears so hard that i felt the 3 tiny bones in each ear rattling together. My ears still ring today, and it happened in 2005. When i got home, i watched the Get Free video for the 1st time. I was shocked!!! They all get hit by lightning in it, but not at the exact moment of the song when i did. It totally blew my mind. My mom believes me, cos i didn't sleep for 3 weeks. God told me he did it so I'll know that i know that I've been touched by the finger of Almighty God MMBxMOB
This came out when the Iraq war was dwindling. I remember my grandma saying she didn't like this band when I played this song, mainly cause she didn't understand what he said. I told her: "He said 'Why don't presidents fight the war? Why do they always send the poor?'" She said: "Oh. You damn right." and didn't mind the band after that. XD Yes. There is a war in Ukraine, but the big difference is, the president AND former president is fighting alongside their people.
System of a down are epic and so got a crazy way off telling the story just like Iron maiden does people say the song suger was leaps and bounds before it's times to what's going on in the world
Interesting how different people react to the same music. When I listen to SOAD, the lyrics don't make me sad, they make me angry. They make me want to DO something about it.

"Don't you start that Chop Suey shit..."
My man needed a breather after this one 😂
That war pigs comparison is exactly what I thought first time hearing it, it's like an updated version
Dancing in the desert.. blowing up the sunshine
You caught on to the meaning way, way, way faster than I ever did. You're very good at deciphering rock and roll music! 🤘🏻🤘🏻 rock on brother

I thought that's what byob meant a long time ago so I asked my mom because she was born in the 60s and a big partier. Lol
And if you brought enough booze for everyone you were considered tha Bomb!
TBF, this song is amazing.
This song is fantastic
another fire SOAD song you should listen to is "Question"
Insanely good drumming.
This is an anti war song like war pigs was made to be.
This is a band I never really explored. I always like the songs I hear, though.
Dude, that was nice! Keep listen to them, they never disappoint
