He screamed “why do they always send the poor” It’s about the government and the “party” is war Why don’t Presidents fight the war, why do they always send the poor?? Good question huh? Loved ur reaction and love y’all
The message is that there is an illusion of everyone being invited to the "party" but only some eat the meal, the rest are just given the crumbs. Aka, inequality. Parallels them saying why don't presidents fight the war, why do they always send the poor.
I disagree slightly. Yes the party is refering to war and yes some people are excluded from the party... But the whole of the US signs up for it. Most voters will vote pro-war in the US. The point is even your civilians who never benefit from war go along for the party. And everyone is blind to the inequality of it, they send the poor because they don't care if they live or die, they are willing pawns.
Their families moved here. You can simultaneously enjoy freedom and also disapprove of leadership and lies leading to war. Rub your two braincells together and think a bit before you speak.
@@GeorgeZimmermen If you think a desire to live in peace and freedom while speaking out against war and oppression is hypocritical, then yes, you are very wrong.
The song is about us being blind by the media and the party is about American living it up while other countries are in poverty and in wars. Blowing up the sunshine is about Iraq war when soldiers said all night we launched air strikes and it lit the sky all night. Chop suey and prison song are a must from them as well
SOAD is one of my favorite bands...their lives shows were always amazing. Their song "Chop Suey" is what launched them to success, though some may say "Sugar" was their first hit. See you guys have done Pantera, can you react to Pantera - Domination Live in Moscow, not the studio version.
best SOAD : toxicity - aerials - sugar - prison song - spiders - needles - shop suey - cigaro - atwa - deer dance - byob - mr jack - lost in hollywood - lonely day
I just found them they are amazing. I listen to korn a lot and stumbled on a song I never heard before daddy and I was shocked by this song as it is not for the faint of heart. I heard it the first time with s&m and I felt so much support form them. I have become hocked on their videos for 3 days now lol
I love that you two are sparking this discussion! I was a lot younger when I listened to this, and I always took it as analogous to the Iraq war. Politicians lying saying that Iraq and Iran have nukes, that it's a matter of national security but really it was a hostile takeover for resources. That's how I interpreted the mentioning of oil and and chorus about dancing in the desert. But other people's comments are also opening my mind and perspective! Love you guys!
Love your reactions, im new but im Sure people have said this before. Select the videos with lyrics, SOD always has a message and its not always easy to understand. This wasnt a party somg at all, very strong deliberate message about war
BYOB in the song stands for Bring Your Own Bombs you should listen to Hypnotise by System Of A Down it has another deep message just like this one does youll love it.
Several songs for y'all to react to. 1. Whisky Lullaby Offical Video by Brad Paisley & Allison Krauss 2. Tom Petty Mary Jane's Last Dance Official Video 3. Before he Cheats by Carrie Underwood 4. Love Shack Official Video by B52s 5. Livin La Vida Loca by Ricky Martin 6. Criminal by Fiona Apple 7. Redneck Woman by Gretchen Wilson 8. Work Bitch by Britney Spears 9. Ænima by Tool 10. Fancy by Reba MacIntyre ...y'all will love these songs and so will the viewers.
They always have bangin' music but they are another band whose lyrics elude me (kind of RATM). I googled it and BYOB means Bring Your Own Bombs. Who knew? Not me. :o I always recommend pulling up lyrics when you react...especially for artists like these. LOL I found this on Wikipedia: B.Y.O.B." shows an army of soldiers marching through the streets, wearing paintball masks with television screens projecting words like "DIE", "TRUTH", "OBEY", "BUY" or "GOD", with the band members playing in the middle of the street. During the chorus, the band is shown playing inside a night club. Midway through the video, co-lead vocalist Daron Malakian is shown screaming the words "Blast off! It's party time! And we don't live in a fascist nation! Blast off! It's party time! And where the fuck are you?!", when the soldiers storm the night club and force everyone to put on the drone masks, during which the masks show images of television shows and war. At the end of the video, the band members are shown wearing the drone masks, which are playing static.
Just like War Pigs mentioning sending the poor - there's no merit in this. As a combat veteran I can tell you this, the military live a decent life and their families are taken care of. We are far from poor and we also knew what we would be getting into when we signed the dotted line when it came to being deployed to a war time situation.
Someone I know described this song as "The PERFECT song to whip some dudes ass to, and take his girlfriend home with you", and I CAN'T unhear that! Haha! 🤣 Its a TERRIBLE sentiment... but its the truth. Haha! I can see it all cinematically at this point, thanks to a one-off comment from a drunk ass acquaintance.
Honestly, if you really must pause the video, the least you could/should do is rewind 5 or 10 seconds before restarting, just hit the back arrow key a time or 2.🤔 p.s. BYOB=bring your own bombs

The first line say “WHY DO THEY ALWAYS SENT THE POOR” And BYOB means bring your own bombs
The message is that there is an illusion of everyone being invited to the "party" but only some eat the meal, the rest are just given the crumbs. Aka, inequality. Parallels them saying why don't presidents fight the war, why do they always send the poor.
Dancing in the desert: soldiers fighting in the desert, dancing with death.
This is about the war overseas

They wrote this song right when America was going to war in Iraq about 20 years ago, and it still relevant today.
check out "prison song"
And yet they all moved to America and reap the same benefits that we all do. Hypocrites

Daddy is the darkest song they ever made.

this is to my opinion one of the most satirical songs ever!!!
Keep on rocking in the free world, y'all! Great tune and I'm happy you liked it! 🍻

SOAD always has a message. This one is about inequity during war and against the war in the middle east.

React to THE RIVER by Good Charlotte ft. M shadows and Syn Gates of Avenged Sevenfold ITS SO GOOD, DEEP and SO UNDERRATED.
Maybe try lyric reactions until you get to know the vocals, especially for metal.
I could suggest Chop Suey or any number of the songs that got airplay but I’m thinking maybe a deeper cut : Check out Violent Pornography.
