The message is that there is an illusion of everyone being invited to the "party" but only some eat the meal, the rest are just given the crumbs. Aka, inequality. Parallels them saying why don't presidents fight the war, why do they always send the poor.

The song is about us being blind by the media and the party is about American living it up while other countries are in poverty and in wars. Blowing up the sunshine is about Iraq war when soldiers said all night we launched air strikes and it lit the sky all night.
Chop suey and prison song are a must from them as well

I love that you two are sparking this discussion! I was a lot younger when I listened to this, and I always took it as analogous to the Iraq war. Politicians lying saying that Iraq and Iran have nukes, that it's a matter of national security but really it was a hostile takeover for resources. That's how I interpreted the mentioning of oil and and chorus about dancing in the desert. But other people's comments are also opening my mind and perspective! Love you guys!
Amazing reaction on greatest songs
I just found them they are amazing. I listen to korn a lot and stumbled on a song I never heard before daddy and I was shocked by this song as it is not for the faint of heart. I heard it the first time with s&m and I felt so much support form them. I have become hocked on their videos for 3 days now lol

Just like War Pigs mentioning sending the poor - there's no merit in this. As a combat veteran I can tell you this, the military live a decent life and their families are taken care of. We are far from poor and we also knew what we would be getting into when we signed the dotted line when it came to being deployed to a war time situation.

They always have bangin' music but they are another band whose lyrics elude me (kind of RATM). I googled it and BYOB means Bring Your Own Bombs. Who knew? Not me. :o I always recommend pulling up lyrics when you react...especially for artists like these. LOL

B.Y.O.B." shows an army of soldiers marching through the streets, wearing paintball masks with television screens projecting words like "DIE", "TRUTH", "OBEY", "BUY" or "GOD", with the band members playing in the middle of the street. During the chorus, the band is shown playing inside a night club. Midway through the video, co-lead vocalist Daron Malakian is shown screaming the words "Blast off! It's party time! And we don't live in a fascist nation! Blast off! It's party time! And where the fuck are you?!", when the soldiers storm the night club and force everyone to put on the drone masks, during which the masks show images of television shows and war. At the end of the video, the band members are shown wearing the drone masks, which are playing static.
