@Tammy T and if you dont think they keep the poor, poor for the never ending wars, you are naive. The military industrial complex runs the US government.
@Tammy T Ask any Vientnam vet about that and they'll tell you about the waste of human lives because of that particular war being perceived as some prestige thing for the government at the time and when the poor dried up, they started to draft in the children of the rich since there was a shortage of soldiers. People who refused to go into service faced prison sentences.
Yeah...not very likely for the former, sadly, considering the trip their drummer has been on lately. (He's the singer's brother-in-law, which must make for some *very* awkward family meetings...)
It’s not exactly subtle either, the song is called bring your own bomb and the chorus says “dancing in the desert” aka invading Iraq, and “blowing up the sunshine” dropping bombs.

The lalalala part is a direct influence of their Armenian background. That type of arpeggio or similar can be heard in music from lots of eastern world cultures which is why it sounds so familiar

The 'lalala' is the guitar part from the chorus. Serj is anticipating the hook with his voice. 🙌🏼✨✨
Don't let the chorus foll you. The entire song is about war even the chorus.
Its about military recruiters convincing kids how badass it is to be a soldier and go to war so they can grind them up in the war machine.
