I'd bet that EAC and the Epic launcher has spyware in it as well. They're all controlled by the chinese government, even Gaijin sold part of itself to Tencent. If I was worried I wouldn't be playing a Russian game
I recently started running OperaGX myself, and *yes* it is so nice to use, not having to fry my eyes at night on a bright screen is such a relief, the resource management I also agree it is incredibly helpful with helping games run a little smoother as I use a lower end computer take his word for it, it’s nice :)
I just want them to rework the entire grind so more like than14 people play jets, the queue times are absurd in the US at times. I've had multiple waits over 10 minutes before. The way gaijin runs their game and company is just stupid. More players are needed at higher tiers, Matches that consist of 7 v7 are kinda lame. WTF is the point of grinding to higher tier planes if nobody plays them?
I think the F84F is balanced for ground rb and CAS, not air. It makes sense, considering its secondary weapon loadout and its position on the strike aircraft tree.
This is the reason I didn't even bother with early jets, all I did was fly some sim battle at low tier to get me a suffer sabre then pushed in to tier 6'

F-84F supposed to be better, but F-84G keeps so much more energy, is much more stable during dogfights, and well it can actually turn fight. I see no other role for this jet other then CAS. 4x1000lb bombs on 8.3 is decent and since only italian CAS worthy jet is YS, this jet give more options. Im gonna be honest, I dont have it spaded, its just too painful, even in Sim
The F-84F is literally pointless and should be foldered with the F-84G. The normal F-84 is leagues better to play, as it can’t face things like 9.3s. Also, the CL-13 Mk.4 is equally painful. You’re better off playing the G.91 R/1 in any case.
F-84 is painful at 8.3, and I have to say - perhaps even more so than when it was at 8.7 with the F-86A5 during the Harrier spam. Back then you only had to look out for missiles, nobody used guns and people underestimated you a lot. At 8.3 it struggles, because people actually turn with you and chase you for gun kills.
im using it right now and it doesn't turn my fps to absolute dogshit while playing panther A and 109 F4 while listening to ghost division and no bullets fly respectively and most importantly it has adblock which i sincerely turn off for spit
I still feel like f104a and f104c should be 9.7. Also I have learned to despise the G.91s. They just hurt to be around. Although it's satisfying to rip them apart with 50 cals on the sabre.

what i do with this plane is fly next to the centre of the map, trying to avoid conflict and keep speed up. Then trying to stay at a distance from the enemy AF and sweep up all enemy planes who try to go for a repair/re-arm... It's sad, but it's the only way to mean something for your team.
Meteor, Venom at 9.0 useless? Cmon, those were one of the best if not the best planes back then, especially with old flight models and Hispanos being fantastic guns. Problems back then was NOTHING compared to what we have today. Todays main problem in jet battles is missiles and its what makes some planes useless. If there were no missiles, the Vampire could just as well be 8.0 today.
I've spent the last week stock grinding the Italian model of this plane. I am just about ready to slit my wrists, and I'm not even done yet. I still need the G-suit, guns, rockets, and the last bombs. Most of my RP has been from bombing vehicles and bases, and most of the kills I've scored are leftovers from teammates' dogfights, covering a teammate from a tunnel-visioned enemy, or lucky head-ons. Maybe half a dozen from actual dogfights. Almost every single game, I get destroyed by an F-86F or MiG-15bis, and it's not even a contest. They're faster, more maneuverable, accelerate quicker, and retain energy better in all directions. In the games I'm lucky enough to get a down-tier, I'm still at a disadvantage against most planes because they're more maneuverable. I can finally use my speed, but they can just easily turn out of the way unless I get a lucky shot, keeping me occupied long enough for their Sabres or MiGs to find me. In an up-tier, I'm just dead. That's it. Afterburners, missiles, everything I can't do anything about. I once died to a Yak-38's R-60 not very long after my team had left the airfield. It deserves decompression, but faily that, it deserves 8.0, which would also make it a stellar choice for CAS in the 8.0 lineup.
2nd comment: this plane is basically the exact same case as the f8u2. It is built to be a high velocity straight line fighter but is matched against faster jets which can still out maneuver it. Never had less fun than whilst playing this new addition.
Gaijin don't know how to make a balanced game. IMO a balance is for example - faster planes vs slower but better turn fighters. Both can use their advantages to survive or score a kill. A plane is useless to me when it's only saving grace is speed but even turnfighters are faster than it. That is a death sentence and pisses me off so much when i am forced to play them.
Playing the F84Fs is like grabbing the razorback Thunderbolt and playing against the Bf 109 K4 or Fw 190Ds constantly. I also love how Gaijin tried to pass off the excuse that they were changing things to reduce queue times and ended up having the reverse happen. Queue times are doubled or tripled now (depending on time of day). Good job ya fucking numpties.

I personally think they should both be 8.7, and the top BR should be 11.0 or higher (my preferred would be 11.7 or 12.0). However, I got my F-86-A5 after nearly 7 years in game with no premium 3 days before the Harrier patch. My jet life has been nonstop suffer since it really got going. I have the F-4E now (can't really figure out how to play it right), but I find myself going back to the F-100 and F-86-A5 all the time now more than top tier. I especially love the F-86 meta because it offers high performance jet combat with minimal missile thunder. Ideally, missiles would be above this BR, but beggars can't be choosers. I simply love the fact that for the first time since I really started playing jets, it's high performance aircraft that actually requires skill to get kills more than simply being in the right place at the right time and throwing a yeeter out. I know the F-84 suffers, and that's why I think it should be 8.0 and/or the F-86 and Mig-15 be 8.7, but what moving them down to 8.3 offered was making those two very popular planes playable again. When they were at 9.7, it was impossible, the worst time I've ever had in War Thunder was the non-stop 9.7 up tiers against Lightnings, Mig-21s, Harriers (9.3 and 9.7 at the time), SU-7s, Yak-38s, and of course the A7. Tl;dr The 84f is between horrible and neutral. Like the 262 with mk108 but with empty boosters. I grinded the 84f on the German side before and after the battle rating decrease. What I done was always bomb heavy GU with 4x 250lb in the beggining reaching to a some 1100km/h then keeping my speed if chased after. If not then climb and engage slow enemy planes while still trying to stay above 880 km/h hopefully. And againts AtA roll down... Mostly some fast jets reaches me on the bombing but those are dogble but then I bleed way to much speed meaning then the initial slow jets reach me.
I see the F84F as more of a CAS plane is have some relatively good loads for doing "control" in ground RB destroying 2 or 3 tanks And doing maybe a kill or 2 of planes/heli
The problem is at 7.7 or even 8.0 this plane would be to fast. Noone could crach it when used as an attacker. But it would have an abysmal win rate as it is still useless in a fight. In theory it turn not worse than a F86, but in Gajins world it has 15s more turn time and loses 3 times as much speed. It was good for a brief moment in ground RB when they gave it bomb CCIP... and then removed it for CCRP which, in my opinion should work the same way as CCIP as the only real difference is that one works in a straight line and the other in curves... but bombing is only accurate in a straight line anyways. But hey, we got to see matches without massive nord spam where you are incapable of stopping the good players and normal players don't even try to play it.
That's historically accurate. F-84F had potential but reality crushed to its face. Migs were better and usa had to make better planes. That's how it goes in the world of war planes. So many planes are just awesome if you don't have to face the enemy in it. Some rather shitty planes got good results in combat when enemy put even shittier planes facing them or they had problems with engines like germans had with many models. Like bf-109F with fuel tanks liners dissolving to petrol or FW190D burning exhaust valves in harder manifold pressures making hurricane look very good. Still good pilots can take the best of those planes with difficulties and make enemy miss their mothers.
I have found that the scimitar is one of the few 8.7s that has slightly benefited from the sabres being downtoered because you always face 8.0 and 8.3s now Edit(its not major OP or anything but its so fast stock that spaded sabres and migs are just left in the dust)
I know this is off topic, but I think you might want to adjust your Post Effects settings. The flames and the sun have this weird green-blue hue on some of the color values they have.
I have to say that I've really been enjoying the sabre BR downgrade. I can finally get some good kills without having to wait for some other player to bait faster jets so I can get some opportunistic kill before getting a missile up my engine exhaust hole. It's also been great for SL grinding. With about 3 good games just about 100k SL. I'm finally above 3M SL again so I can start buying some other jets and planes and still have more than enough for repairs and ammo.
When they announced it I thought "oh it'll be a neat 8.0 plane, like a fat sabre that is more competent at CAS". Then I saw it's 8.7 and that it competes with actual sabres that aren't fat in Air RB, so there is pretty much no reason to play it at all. (Even after the downtier, since it still is the same BR as a Sabre)
And the actual "fat Sabre" (FJ-4B) is even more competitive regardless, and it's not just because it has 4 Colt Mk12s and can carry 4 missiles (at least the tech tree one can).

What I done was always bomb heavy GU with 4x 250lb in the beggining reaching to a some 1100km/h then keeping my speed if chased after. If not then climb and engage slow enemy planes while still trying to stay above 880 km/h hopefully. And againts AtA roll down... Mostly some fast jets reaches me on the bombing but those are dogble but then I bleed way to much speed meaning then the initial slow jets reach me.

Interestingly, the F-84F has 3490kgf of thrust, which is far more than any sabre in the game but it still is slow af and doesn't accelerate.
that BR compression really hurt the stuff at 7.7, 8.0, 8.3. If Sabres went to 8.3, the 8.3s probably should have gone down as well.

The problem is at 7.7 or even 8.0 this plane would be to fast. Noone could crach it when used as an attacker. But it would have an abysmal win rate as it is still useless in a fight.
In theory it turn not worse than a F86, but in Gajins world it has 15s more turn time and loses 3 times as much speed.
It was good for a brief moment in ground RB when they gave it bomb CCIP... and then removed it for CCRP which, in my opinion should work the same way as CCIP as the only real difference is that one works in a straight line and the other in curves... but bombing is only accurate in a straight line anyways.
But hey, we got to see matches without massive nord spam where you are incapable of stopping the good players and normal players don't even try to play it.

That's historically accurate. F-84F had potential but reality crushed to its face. Migs were better and usa had to make better planes. That's how it goes in the world of war planes. So many planes are just awesome if you don't have to face the enemy in it. Some rather shitty planes got good results in combat when enemy put even shittier planes facing them or they had problems with engines like germans had with many models. Like bf-109F with fuel tanks liners dissolving to petrol or FW190D burning exhaust valves in harder manifold pressures making hurricane look very good. Still good pilots can take the best of those planes with difficulties and make enemy miss their mothers.
Yup, I honestly got this plane with a lot of hope and ended up completely giving up on it
All of the F84Fs are getting attacker classification and spawns in the new update, that should make them a lot better

I have found that the scimitar is one of the few 8.7s that has slightly benefited from the sabres being downtoered because you always face 8.0 and 8.3s now
Edit(its not major OP or anything but its so fast stock that spaded sabres and migs are just left in the dust)
Luckily, the next patch is giving it an airspawn, so it won't have to take off from 0.
I know this is off topic, but I think you might want to adjust your Post Effects settings. The flames and the sun have this weird green-blue hue on some of the color values they have.
Frankly, for some nations this is the only plane that can actually carry a decent ordnance loadout at certain BRs. So it's a lot better than nothing.

I have to say that I've really been enjoying the sabre BR downgrade. I can finally get some good kills without having to wait for some other player to bait faster jets so I can get some opportunistic kill before getting a missile up my engine exhaust hole. It's also been great for SL grinding. With about 3 good games just about 100k SL. I'm finally above 3M SL again so I can start buying some other jets and planes and still have more than enough for repairs and ammo.

When they announced it I thought "oh it'll be a neat 8.0 plane, like a fat sabre that is more competent at CAS".
Then I saw it's 8.7 and that it competes with actual sabres that aren't fat in Air RB, so there is pretty much no reason to play it at all.
(Even after the downtier, since it still is the same BR as a Sabre)
And the actual "fat Sabre" (FJ-4B) is even more competitive regardless, and it's not just because it has 4 Colt Mk12s and can carry 4 missiles (at least the tech tree one can).

I mean jet RB above 9.0 till 10.7 is currently sadly A7 and Mig 19/21 Spam wich mostly means russia+germany autowin. Top Tier is not much better but i only have the FGR 2 so i can probably be more usefull by crashing after takeoff.... And then The Constant lag and the bugged Spotting System is just the Rest
