Yeh but i dont know, for me the appeal in these watches is with a tropical strap..even with regards to the capt willard, it didnt look right on the bracelet and i loved it on a strap and same with the 54watch 62m, i kept it on a tropical strap as I've modded mine with a gen seiko reissue dial but ofcourse thats my preference only. Hold on tight and see what bracelet they come out with

Thanks for the unboxing, 'the Doxa' homage is my favorite. Just need to think which color .... It seems to be a well finished watch. The original 'Doxa' is unfortunately far away from my budget, this Seestern will be my birthday present :-)

Just went and brought the 62mas homage. Was going to buy a 54 but this is better value and I prefer the side brushing. Can't wait to swap the dial out. Priced perfectly as well at £135.31. I hope you get some commission out of this as I didn't even finish watching the video went straight over to Ali express. Side brushing ❤️❤️

I really like what they did with the Doxa homage, especially the cyan dial version. Clean and functional. The tactical frog was a flop with the silly bezel and cluttered dial.
The Seestern monster looks like a winner, too.

Cheers for sharing. I had thought about the Maranez Samui for about a year but its twice the price so I waited. Then the Tactical Frog came along but I waited again because I dont like the bracelet and bezel on that. I think this SeeStern is the one I will go for... Now I want either a discount code or a sale!

I’m also Curious about What Tactical Frog Version2.0 does that hasn’t already been covered by Seestern (and it does look like they’ve covered all their bases) so they have some catching up to do since dropping the Ball with their first effort🙈
The Sub Homage Looks great but nothing we haven’t seen on a load of other Brand Offerings.
The 62 MAS looks like a cracking effort but in my opinion the Strap does it no favours,The Caseback is it’s saving Grace and a work of Art so that’s a plus.
Lume shot needed Zeb as C3 instead of BGW9 would be a benefit as well as a Lume Date wheel just to be different.

I’ve received my doxa homage. I went with the red dial… in person it looks more orange than red. A few QC issues… one link gets kinked… the crown position for date is hard to “find.” Takes a while to get it right on position 1. You’re either winding it or changing the time. Neither are deal killers. The bezel is tight. No back play. I was a little bummed the bracelet is push pins. But you size it once and it’s done. Overall nice watch. Not SM quality… slightly better than SD I’d say.

I got it and this late 62+mas V4 its a Gorjeous watch , but yeah i agree it Might be too big for small wrist as its not a proper one2one copy.. At 38mm.This one looks more apropiate for a ladys wrist
The correct size is closer to this 38mm and it is a gorgeous watch. The san martin is more comparable to the new reissue, very refined and with all the mod conds plus a quite a bit bigger than the OG

It looks great, better than the Tactical Frog definitely. 👏 The only thing this one seems to be missing is the lumed pip on the bezel, but it seems to have a lumed date which is awesome. So can't wait for the review to see if that is correct and what the lume is like in general.
I already purchase a 38 mm seestern today, hopefully fit with my little wrist, it will take around 10-18 days to get in Indonesia, cant wait 😎

I'm surprised they didn't lume the pip on the Doxa homage. Maybe you could mention that to them? The 62mas looks great, especially in the blue sunburst! That off-center date wheel does bother me a bit, but the double digits dates look fine in their pics. Are they off-center in real life?
Double digits look fine, just single digit is slightly to one side. The lume pip is not there as i think they homaged the earlier doxa

Mr. Watcher. I can't believe you didn't do a wrist check because I saw that beautiful Grand Seiko homage on your wrist. LOL. Please tell me which watch you think has a cooler and better look to it. This Orange dial doxa homage or the merkur Orange 6105 watch. I sold my orange mekur and I was hoping this looked even better. I would buy this one on the alliexpress 11/11 sale for hopefully 150.00 us. So please tell me the pros and cons of each one of those watches. Thank you as always. Ray and austin 🥰
If Seestern offers the 62MAS homage with a stainless steel bracelet like they already do for their other homages, that would be my top Seestern choice. I mean, all homages you’ve shown here are great values at about $180 and have bracelets except for the 62MAS, for some reason. 🤷
My blue version arrived today and had the same end link issue as in the pictures and mentioned in the review. Very simply, one end of the pin wasn't in the lug hole. It took a bit of pressure but I managed to get it in. Extremely pleased with the watch. The crown action is extremely smooth, bezel action light but positive, finish very good and the bracelet very good quality. Didn't pay any duty either, at purchase or import - there were apparently identical listings from same seller and when I added them to my basket some added vat on checkout, others didn't so I went vat free option and was lucky. Lovely watch.

Their Seiko Monster homages intrigues me cuz they put blue Lume 😏
Just in the last few days they have added a few more interesting watches like a GMT master homage with a high beat movement and a Daytona homage with an automatic chrono movement 7750 (probably an Asian clone). But those are more expensive :)
These actually all look pretty great…subs are subs but even it looks good. The star is obvious….but I’m digging that 62 mas too! I haven’t bought any watches in a good bit, this should be a nice micro break. Thanks for these man, the doxage is exciting!
There are two light blue Doxa hommage watches on their way to me, the Tactical Frog and this Seestern Sub 300. I ordered the TF first and on the German Uhrforum I read about Seestern, (in German it sounds more grown up than Tactical Frog) so a couple of days later I decided to buy this one as well and I suspect I will sell the Tactical Frog, because of the wrong bezel and will prefer the Seestern also because of the right bezel and the lumed date window. I always wanted a Soxa bit didn't like the Seiko cases they used for it, until the mini turtle came, but that is an expensive mod. Then the Maranez Samui came, but there were just a few things that weren't just Doxa enough for me, later with the BOR bracelet a little better but the price was just a bit to high for a homage watch. I started to send messages with links to pictures to Ali Express dealers, that I would like a Doxa homage, about half year a go and see what happened! :-)
This doxa hommage looks much better than táctical frog... Blue .lumed calendar looks Fantastic.. Would love if they throw in a pt5000 movmt Option.. And a posibility to customize hour hands colours
I prefer the dial layout and the domed crystal on the Frog.
Bezel action looks way better than the frog but the frog is almost 1mm thinner.
1m doesn't bother me much, the bezel is amazingly well done
Would prefer an eta hommage movt in an eta hommage watch ie some sea gull eta clone 😀😉 not a seiko 4r36? Should be under 100 ? Surely

When you review the 62mas, can you try putting other 62mas homage bracelets into it? Like san martin, steeldive, heimdallr, etc to see which fits the best
I asked them if they will produce bracelet for their 62mas but sadly, they said they wont produce it.

@@TheWatcherReviews Good to know. Thanks! When you eventually get around to comparing the Seestern vs. the Frog, it'd be great to hear how well they wear comparatively. I understand the Seestern is based on the Sub 300T case, which is thicker, whereas the Frog is thinner, more akin to (but even thinner than) the Sub 300 case. I've heard it makes a big difference as to how comfortably they wear.
All are great except from the date lumed i wish seestern made a version without it
Im not much of a homage guy(also from Alibaba I own only one San Martin,but its custom dial flieger),here is even more of a copy,but this time I think Ill get one.Dont know why the brand is appealing to me😜.Its everything nicely done,I like the brand name on the dial,crown,caseback and clasp,plus lumed date wheel.Plus at that price point its a great beater watch.I would probably never use the original,because even if I could spend sometime a 2k€ on a watch,I doubt I would choose a Sub300.

For some reason the dial vs bezel dimensions look slightly different (thicker on Seastern?) but that could just be me… thanks for getting these in!
Just went and bought a seestern checked the dimensions are almost identical. 54 13.8mm thick and the bezel looks exactly the same. With currency fluctuations it's just scapes over the automatic vat so great value

May I know why the company's name in the Doxa homage is not properly centered on the dial but on the left side? It looks awkward and it doesn't really make much sense

Long time now i wonder if (i say IF) someone like you, that gets all these homages of well known watches, get the "real" thing in hand and turns out to be disappointing, that would suck, won't it? Especially if the "real" thing costs SO MUCH more than ALL the homages together...

Soon as I get back I’ll get it off to you. I did a lot of research and bought it eyes wide open accepting the shortcomings. For me it’s the history but yes, with a few improvements it would be perfect..watch addiction right!
That rubber strap is kinda boring but the orange doxa is beautiful
Glamour Master (argh!!) is also a brand....they do a pistachio dial chrono that I'd definitely have but for the hideous brand name!
Quick update on this, they've (wisely) dropped the Glamour Master brand, the chronos noe say Sugess...pistachio dial chrono in the basket!!

Glamour Master is a horrible name to put on a dial, I just couldn't wear a watch with that customer insulting abomination of a brand name on it. Too bad, since I noticed for instance a couple of Seagull driven cronographs I liked. Seestern however, that's fine by me. That Doxa homage looks great, but I'm very curious of the full review of the 62Mas and how it compares to the San Martin one.
Haven't pulled the trigger on the SM 62Mas yet, but was prolly going to during 11.11 sale. But when competitors suddenly pops up, a comparison gets highly interesting.

I generally agree with you about the various AliExpress brand names, but for some reason, Seestern doesn’t bother me at all. In fact, I like it. Maybe I’m subconsciously comparing Seestern to the likes of Phylida and Parnis, in which case “Seestern” sounds like “Seiko” in my head 😉😁

That is just a pure Doxa rip off - at least the Frog makes an effort to be different - applied indices, half bezel (albeit athe tach a poor choice) different case profile etc.
The case profile isn't different by alot and it wasn't for them trying to be original. The v2 set to be released is being made to bare a closer resemblance. Majority of people do want this to be as closest as possible to the real thing so this is why these brands do this. Personally i would like to see more 'inspired ' designs which have more originality but the people want what they want
