Better quality than any SEIKO under $1000. Better quality band. Sapphire crystal. Everything lines up. Lovely bead blasting on the tach ring. Dial and hands are perfectly executed. Signed winder. Lovely deep 3D design on the movement cover. Quality Seiko movement. Presentation as good as an original DOXA at 10% of the price. What's not to love about this watch!

It's not anywhere near as good as a Doxa.
I own both, the bracelet on the Seestern is ok, but the clasp is terrible.

@@gl855 A super nice movement is ...nice. But it is also a bit of a wank. The law of diminishing returns comes into play pretty heavily when it comes to movements. My most accurate watch has a cheap seiko movement. It is close to 1 or 2 seconds a day. I don't have to set it for weeks
In the end, you have your phone when you are actually looking for accuracy.
But I can also appreciate the craftsmanship
I have Two Seestern Sub300T 42mm ,The Orange Dox01 V3 and Aqua face Dox06 V2 ,At the price point i think you get a great quality build this was a great add to my 96 watch collection.
I wish the hour hand was the same width as the minute hand.It was a choice between the 300 & 600.Went with the 600 because of this
Presentation is well done.
I have the v3 with lumed date wheel and love it. Only beads of rice bracelet I own and the look is unlike any other watch in my 60 watch colection.

I bought the first gen Seestern and it never had a tachy bezel. It's a great watch...
.... yep ... the tachy bezel was on the Tactical Frog version ...........
Another nice video, Thumbs up given. One correction: at 8:20 the presenter advises a swap of clasps should be an easy upgrade, but due to the final link pin and the pivot point for the flip lock being one in the same, swapping clasps will NOT be an easy task IF possible at all.

Just got the Adventurine dial version for $119 shipped to the US. They have both the $119 and $179 so watch out which link you pick. Same watch, two prices.

Nice review! I own this watch and my only critique would be to make the text on the dial a little larger and bolder like on the original. Other than that, I don't really have any complaints.

I’m ready to pull the trigger. The Doxa has an SW-200 movement - a good Swiss movement, but IMHO, on par with the Seiko NH35. Plus, if the Seiko movement ever goes south, I can always drop a new one in with little effort & a reasonable price. The big thing for me is the classic Doxa style case. I’ve always loved the look, but cannot justify the price for a Doxa. I own several Swiss watches (Christopher Ward & Davosa) which are half the price of a Doxa & deliver quality in spades. I think I’m going for the Aquamarine dial since I already own the Seiko Orange Monster.
I think the delta 200 is a step up

Can't decide if I like the look of the Doxa or if it is a hideous malformed watch. Might try a Seestern to get a better idea.

Same problem here, but it didn't matter because I was putting it on a grey and orange striped Nato strap anyway.
I don't like the baby hour hand. Actually, all the hands could use some bulking up.
They are homaging the Doxa 300T and these are the same size hands it has. Why Doxa chose these size hands I don't know but this is what it has.
@@sinjinadams2862 Doxa chose to make the hour hand very small and the minute hand very big because when you are diving, the hour hand is mostly irrelevant and the Doxa Sub 300 was first and foremost a tool watch for serious divers. By having the difference between the two hands be so drastic, it reduces the possibility of confusion about which hand you should be paying attention to while diving.
Once again the hour hand look itsy bitsy teeny weeny.I understand it's a homage to the doxa but they should have done the same as they did with the sub 600t or used a similar hour hand to the doxa army or the synchron military
You have your facts all wrong. The only difference within the Seestern versions are the thicknesses of the case. v1 was the thickest at 14mm. V2 came in at 13mm, and V3 is now 13.5mm. You are thinking about the Tactical Frog versions, where the tactical frog had the wrong bezel design on the version 1. Also, Seestern homages the Sub 300t, while the Tactical Frog homages the Sub 300C. Both are great watches, but I actually prefer the Tactical Frog V3 over the Seestern.
Doesn't the Tactical Frog have a fixed inner bezel making dive timing impossible?
