Hi Pan, can you make a video centered around decorative stripes on a car? For example my 2017 Mini Cooper John Cooper Works Clubman has red stripes on the bonnet. I would love to see a video on how to properly take care of them when dealing with compounding and polishing the bonnet and other things to look for when washing/waxing.
Hey Pan! Love this review! I’m an entry level plus detailer and I find it hard to spend $400.00 on a polisher. This type of review is Great! I’m guessing that most of your listeners are like me. I’m going to be doing my first full blown detail on my wife’s black minivan this spring and don’t have a polisher so this looks like the one I’ll buy! Thank you!

Oh, Pan your welcomed, so glad ya did the review. I have this new polisher on order thru Amazon & once I get it, I'll be sure to update on your channel my thoughts on the Maxshine M8S. Be well, Chuck
I purchased mine from amazon. The body was made out of plastic unlike the full metal body that Pan has in his review. I messaged Maxshine about this and awaiting response.

In the entry level range, I was leaning toward the Porter Cable, but after discovering this I think this may be the better route. I can buy this plus a few pads for the same price as the Porter Cable, plus it already has the 5" backing plate, which I would have to add to the PC. The M8S just took the top spot on my list.
I started with a Porter Cable 7424XP two decades ago and things have evolved since. This Shine Master is more powerful at roughly the same price or less.
Hi Pan. Looks like a great polisher for the price. I was thinking that a review of the small polishers , like 3 inch, would be great as they are handy for the small areas. thanks.
Pan I ordered the one that's 117.00 and it came with a huge drying towel (1200gsm) as well as these samples and also 16oz of each product. They also threw in a great polishing towel (600gsm) and three pads! I was blown away!
Hi Pan, great entry level DA Polisher. From memory that would be the first time that you have actually dropped any equipment to confirm the manufacturers statement - well done, and well done to Shine Master or Master Shine. Ozz

Hi Pan, I will be watching all your detailing videos and learnt so much. I am detailing my car regularly. I live in India and got Maxshine MS8 from USA. When I have tested with step in converter from 220v to 120V it has vibration from the first number only. is it expected.

Pan you should do a review on DA polisher readily available from ex. Harbor freight, Home Depot, Lowe’s? You’ve already done rupes DA polishers. + I searched up the rupes on amazon and mark 2&3 are sold out! But not everyone (starting out) has that much $ to spend on one.
Paaaaaaaaaaaaan!!!! :) I think I'll try a super long 15-20 seconds one in a future video... Imagine the reaction of viewers who will watch it who might have never seen my videos... AHAHAHAHAH.

I’d love to see a video on what trailer, tools, and chemicals you would recommend for someone with a fairly large budget. Thank you for everything you do! Really inspired me to get the ball rolling!
On full car details with 2-stage polish jobs I do. Like in this BMW M3 video: ua-cam.com/video/OjQavIEiWlM/v-deo.html But for a quick polish demo on a surface with no trim like a hood, I don’t see the need for it. But you’re absolutely right. On any paint correction job, it’s always best practice to tape trim when using polishing compounds and pads with cutting capabilities. I hope that answers your question.
Would you like to review the new line of SIMONIZ DA polishers (6", 7"), pads, compounds and polishes available at Canadian Tire? I really like your videos. Keep them coming....
Your reviews are very informative. I want to detail our 19 foot speedboat annually (gelcoat). What polisher would you recommend for limited use? This Maxshine seems acceptable. Is a larger throw needed for the larger hull?
Larger throws are ideal for large flat panels as they give you more coverage (i.e. efficiency). But you can still do the work with an 8mm throw polisher too.
Just purchased one on Amazon and from what I can tell there is no longer a metal body on the blue part. It's now a shade darker blue plastic. Just a heads up.
Great video Pan !! Love this long Paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan The Organizer !!! Have you tried the polisher Shine Mate ERO600 G1+ ? If you haven't tried, will be possible to compare with this one? Thanks !!!
Can report just received my order of Shine Mate EX 610 with 15mm throw & seems excellent machine noise wise. Havent tried it yet, its abit heavy ithink on 2.6 kilos though, but has 6 diffrent speed settings. Seems very solid built 👍
Hi Pan, I have a question about microfibre towels you use to dry the car. Any towel I used left swirls and marks on my black VW Golf 7. I always use high end stuff on my car and this time I bought those towels from SONAX. Anyway, I'm glad you dropped this video so I can buy a good polish since I'm looking to buy one soon
Great video Pan! I would like a piece of advice if you can...since I am just an enthusiast and everything I do is just for my 2 cars, is it worth it to own a polisher? I mean, after the paint corrections, I shouldn't be using it a lot, or are there any other uses than just making paint corrections? Could I let's say, apply wax or other similar stuff with a polisher? Thanks as always, keep up with the great job 👍🏽👍🏽
It's always a good thing to have a polisher even if it's an entry level one like the MaxShine M8S. Beyond paint correction, you can polish headlights when they get oxidized/yellow, you can polish glass, and yes you can even apply liquid waxes or sealants at low speed (speed 2 typically) with a soft finishing pad!
Hello pan, could recommend me appropriate pad for Compound, or I did not if you have a video where you talk about pads thanks 🙏 but the way I love your videos
Aslo known as the DAS6 pro Dump the 6” backing plate and use a 5” and 3.5” Great little machines Top tip...the wire breaks after a while within the tail of the lead (where it goes into the machine) Take the body off remove the lead, cut 5inch off the lead and crimp two new open connectors and refit.
Pan love your informative videos. I was going to purchase the M*S but realized this is a company in China! I do my best not to support them when possible. It may not be much an issue for our brothers in Canada but in the US of A it is a big deal:-(
Hey pan getting into at home detailing and love your videos super helpful and straight the point. Would this be a good starter polisher compared to porter cable? And will any hook and loop backing plate work with this model?
Hi Pan, 2 Questions: 1. Being that this has a 5" backing plate as a rule you should use a 5.5" pad? 2. Where did you get the "polisher holders" you have on your wall holding your polishers?
Hey Pan i just bought a new vehicle 4 months ago and i am very careful when washing my vehicle, i use a foam gun and power washer with ph balanced car shampoo and am starting to see a few small marks in the paint from washing. I understand polishing can correct this but how many times can we polish before the paint starts to "fade"?
Holy shit! It’s no longer entry level. It’s $200 CAD as of feb 2021 😵 makes the torqx kit look like a good deal with all the pads and compounds included
Pan, my new BLACK (I don't know why I did that to myself) car has some very light swirls. I'm terrified of ruining the paint to fix it. Can someone like me use this with a finishing polish and get results? My husband said I can practice on his work truck. 🤪
I ordered it off of Amazon and unfortunately it was DOA. The switch on the side seemed to be broken, as it wouldn't click back into the off position when tapping down on it. Sending back to Maxshine for a refund. Going to try the Harbor Freight DA next.
@@PanTheOrganizer Honestly, no. Amazon has made returns so easy I usually forego that route nowadays. I haven't returned it yet so I'll send them an email and see what they say!
@Pan TheOrganizer Just wanted to provide an update. I never received an email back from the unfortunately. I returned the unit to Amazon and am currently awaiting a refund. I went ahead and ordered another one of the same, as there just isn't much out there to compete with the low price.
Hi Pan Need to buy a small polisher to do some cleaning on a Jetski-PWC is this mini item a good choice? Also it would be great to have some video regarding Jetski detailing! Cheers!
As this is an entry level polisher, does that mean it’ll do small swirls and small scratches. If u upgrade to the M15Pro it’ll do a better job correct? You obviously get what you pay for
Hi pan great video just bought the shinemaster m8s polisher my question is I will be using turtle hybrid solution pro 1 & done can you recommend me what pads I should use thank you keep up the great videos peter filice from Hamilton ontario
Pan, I currently have the Torq 10FX DA, it has a 700w motor w/ 8mm throw. Would this polisher be a decent upgrade even though it's more than half the cost of the Torq DA? What are your thoughts on this ??? I am a weekend warrior and not a detail professional. I do side jobs for neighbors and friends though. Thanks!!
Hey pan, another fantastic video my friend!, when you find really bad fabric car seats etc.. do you use s carpet extractor? Or what methods do you prefer?
I use my steam cleaner, but I don't deal with disgusting cars. After 21 years of detailing, I can thankfully now select what vehicles I work on. But for filthy interiors, yes carpet extractors are a must.
It depends how bad your problem is. If the clear coat has failed polishing won’t restore that and you might need a paint respray. So test and see. It’s hard to troubleshoot these things without seeing the car in person and doing test spots.

But you’re absolutely right. On any paint correction job, it’s always best practice to tape trim when using polishing compounds and pads with cutting capabilities.
I hope that answers your question.
pas de probleme!😀
merci en tout cas
👍🏻
is this still the budget king in 2021 or do you have an updated video/list for us?
Looks like a nice polisher ..
Hard to beat it at that price point...
Would you like to review the new line of SIMONIZ DA polishers (6", 7"), pads, compounds and polishes available at Canadian Tire? I really like your videos. Keep them coming....
Thanks!!
What’s your favourite video on my channel so far?
@@PanTheOrganizer I find the annual product award videos very useful.
Thanks! :)
Thanks pan
Thanks!
Pan, your are safe on the 6-month warranty. The drop test is not covered, LOL.
Hi Pan!
Could you make a video about different brands or types of polishing pads you recommend.
Thanks!
Thanks Julien!!
Use hydrate when you dry
will this machine get heavy scratches out? or do i need something stronger? and if so what would you recommend ?
Would be wonderful to start getting into it with the free time but sadly, its sold out.
Would you recommend this for polishing and waxing a 30ft boat with the foam pads in the descriptions aswell?
Paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannn the organiser. 👍
😂😂😂😂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Can not find this for sale anywhere Amazon or eBay either no results or Amazon says no stock
Hello pan, could recommend me appropriate pad for Compound, or I did not if you have a video where you talk about pads thanks 🙏 but the way I love your videos

Aslo known as the DAS6 pro
Dump the 6” backing plate and use a 5” and 3.5”
Great little machines
Top tip...the wire breaks after a while within the tail of the lead (where it goes into the machine)
Take the body off remove the lead, cut 5inch off the lead and crimp two new open connectors and refit.
Pan love your informative videos. I was going to purchase the M*S but realized this is a company in China! I do my best not to support them when possible. It may not be much an issue for our brothers in Canada but in the US of A it is a big deal:-(
I understand. Thanks for watching and thanks for the kind words about my videos. What's your favourite video on my channel?
If they made a value version of the i-brid nano long neck they would probably sell a lot.
I agree
Hey pan getting into at home detailing and love your videos super helpful and straight the point. Would this be a good starter polisher compared to porter cable? And will any hook and loop backing plate work with this model?
Thanks! Yes it’s my new favourite entry level polisher under $90. It will accept any hook and loop pads.
How did you discover my channel?
@@PanTheOrganizer perfect thanks man! Just found your channel searching detailing stuff and now I'm addicted haha
Hi Pan,
2 Questions:
1. Being that this has a 5" backing plate as a rule you should use a 5.5" pad?
2. Where did you get the "polisher holders" you have on your wall holding your polishers?
1. Yes
2. I made a video: ua-cam.com/video/BcY0AlQQz2c/v-deo.html
@@PanTheOrganizer Thanks for the speedy response I appreciate it. They are currently unavailable. I will keep an eye out!
As a side note.....thank you for all these videos. your knowledge and skill sets are very impressive and extremely educational!
Gee I just bought me a 15mm from Adam's...probably I'll collect all D.A..buffer...😁😎👍👍
Looks very similar to the Porter Cable 7424XP but with more power and lower price.
Thanks for watching!
Hey Pan, another great video and great value in this DA polisher. Quick question, do you have a good pick for a 3” polisher?
Rupes LHR75E Mini. Watch my review: ua-cam.com/video/U1ZD0L3RCa4/v-deo.html
I ordered it off of Amazon and unfortunately it was DOA. The switch on the side seemed to be broken, as it wouldn't click back into the off position when tapping down on it. Sending back to Maxshine for a refund. Going to try the Harbor Freight DA next.
Sad to hear that. Did you try reaching out to their customer service?
@@PanTheOrganizer Honestly, no. Amazon has made returns so easy I usually forego that route nowadays. I haven't returned it yet so I'll send them an email and see what they say!
@Pan TheOrganizer Just wanted to provide an update. I never received an email back from the unfortunately. I returned the unit to Amazon and am currently awaiting a refund. I went ahead and ordered another one of the same, as there just isn't much out there to compete with the low price.
Hi Pan
Need to buy a small polisher to do some cleaning on a Jetski-PWC is this mini item a good choice?
Also it would be great to have some video regarding Jetski detailing! Cheers!
As this is an entry level polisher, does that mean it’ll do small swirls and small scratches. If u upgrade to the M15Pro it’ll do a better job correct? You obviously get what you pay for
If used correctly it can remove bigger defects too. But yes obviously the M15 Pro has more power and will help you get the job done quicker.
I just bought a VonHaus 6" polisher off Ebay. It was $79. Hear anything about it? I'm excited to get started!!
Never heard of it... Let us know how you enjoy it.
Awesome review!!
Have they replaced this model?
Don’t see the single unit on their website for sale and can only find the yellow color on Amazon?
MaxShine said in mid July that the other colors will be available again soon. ;)
Hey Pan, great video, as always. Can you replace this backing plate w/ a 3" Lake Country?
Thanks Jason! I haven't tried replacing the backing plate.
Yes,lake country ??griots for sure.
Is the M8s comparable to the Dap Evo machine? It has the same power, also 8mm!
The M8s for half the price!
There must be a difference in something?
Can you do a review of Festool polishers?
Sorry for my ignorance but what is the difference or is there any between dual action and random orbital?
$158 delivered to MTL Canada, we pay so much more then our American neighbours
Hi pan great video just bought the shinemaster m8s polisher my question is I will be using turtle hybrid solution pro 1 & done can you recommend me what pads I should use thank you keep up the great videos peter filice from Hamilton ontario
Lake Country CCS Foam Pads orange depending on what cut level you want
Pan, I currently have the Torq 10FX DA, it has a 700w motor w/ 8mm throw. Would this polisher be a decent upgrade even though it's more than half the cost of the Torq DA? What are your thoughts on this ??? I am a weekend warrior and not a detail professional. I do side jobs for neighbors and friends though. Thanks!!
pan , please review Rupes Mille Polisher 👈🏻
Thanks for watching!
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you sir
Good day. I have some real heavy oxidation on the roof. Will this polisher do the job and dispose of it?
It depends how bad your problem is. If the clear coat has failed polishing won’t restore that and you might need a paint respray. So test and see. It’s hard to troubleshoot these things without seeing the car in person and doing test spots.
What pads do you recommend for this polisher? Cutting and polishing pads
