@@GebahiArtworks so I started trying to do this along w you. Only in acrylic. I used the linen board. 8 x 10. I just couldn’t get the paint to cover the board. Don’t know if I had too much water. But. I may try going over what I started w oil.
@@TrudieTiger70 it’s possible! If you use too much water, it’s like using too much thinner, and you won’t get that coverage. Remember that water is the thinner. You only need a small amount of it.
Your presentation is very easy to follow. One of the best I have ever seen. You make it look so easy(but I know it ain’t !) Thank-you for this video.I will start tomorrow
I so much enjoyed watching your work. I like you have a medical background and painting was a hobby but part of my daily work too. I used to draw the paths physiological explanation of the co diction to the parents of children with special needs. This helped them better understand their child’s problem and comply better. I am now a full time artist and paint in all media but oil is my favourite one. All the very best. From Glasgow in Scotland 🏴
Thank you very much, we do what we can to take our minds away!! Got to look for joy where you can find it, you have to help yourself as well. Hope you have a great Christmas holiday!!
Oh god there goes the CHRISTMAS chores now il have to try this!!what a beautiful painting can't wait to get started thanks so much for explaining about muted colours iv learned so much wishing you and yours a very happy christmas¥
Karim Thank You! This is exactly what I need as I quarantine awaiting test results. I just set up my new Plein Air set up on the back Laniai. It is a cool 72 degrees here in Boca Raton today. I will send you a picture of the finished painting. I would like to make you another sign in the new year. You are very generous with your expertise and content. Hope everyone is well
Thank you very much John!! Weather has been great for sure, so I’ll try to have more videos! I’ve been working on commissions that came out of the wood works( not complaining, just stresses, Lol)!
I just bought some oils, so I going to try this, just need some linseed oil. I'm algebraic to strong odors and extremely sensitive skin so I was a afraid to try it but my nephew recommended linseed oil. Love your work and as always you make it look so easy.
Heyyyyy Karim. Good to see you again. You were MISSED! Great tutorial. I just love the green in the wave so realistic. In case you’re off now for the holidays Merry Christmas to you and yours. 🎄🤶🏻💕
Brilliant tutorial, easy to follow. I actually preferred the second picture. I am definitely going to try this in oils. Thank you so much for sharing your talent. Merry Xmas! 😃
I knew you wouldn't desert us Karim 😀. I think I like the oils version better, seems more vibrant. I hope you and your family are looking forward to Christmas, I think it's going to be very different for many of us this year which is sad. My Mum won't be visiting as she lives on the Isle of Man and their borders are closed, I think it's going to be a zoom Christmas. Wishing you a joyful peaceful time ...🎄🕯❤
Thank you very much Julie!! Sadly I think you’re right, it’s going to be a different kind of Christmas, but we tried to compensate by make it a party every day at the house between us 4, it’s more than what I can ask for, some sadly won’t be as lucky. So let’s count our blessings and enjoy what we have ! Hope you’ll still have a great Christmas holiday!
It will be a strange Christmas, but I am so lucky to now have the time to pursue painting. It has been on my bucket list for a lot of years, and now I can practice and am grateful to have Gebahi as a teacher. My heart goes out to everyone who has lost someone in this terrible pandemic. Just hope that with the vaccine, things will slowly get back to normal. Be safe. 🤞
Glad you're back and still dishing out some of the most useful advice anyone will ever find on UA-cam. Both of your paintings are nice, but I always think Oils seem to look more painterly than Acrylics.
Very nice painting! Loved it. I am going to try myself. I got my brushes and canvas. Next time can you do a demo of a seascape with boats? Thank you for demo. You make it so simple!
🌹Wow beautiful. Lol everything you do in oil I want to see in acrylics. I must have missed the acrylics version of this one. I use acrylics. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP AND SHARING. Ps any time you can do larger like 16x20 or 12x16 canvas I'd appreciate it.
Thank you very much !!! I’ll try, a lot has to do with time constraints, there would be a lot of editing to keep it within about an hour, but I guess I can try a simple acrylic painting in that size!
@@GebahiArtworks That would be great, anything you can do appreciated. Don't mean to inconvenience you. 🌹 Oh also. When you spoke about planes. This subject is difficult for me. Not many tutorials even mention it. It would be nice if you could do some teaching and demonstrating about planes in paintings -- like multiple horizontal planes in a painting. Thank you again.
