Do you have any idea how ridiculously relaxing this video is? I thought I was just going to watch a demo of you painting this seascape, but then it turned into the equivalent of a mind jacuzzi. The image, the colours, the way you applied the paint, the music. It was mesmerising. Similar feeling to watching a fire in a fireplace. I'm so relaxed now. Thank you!
Also, now I have to get a few dagger brushes.

Incredible to watch you paint such teeny tiny strokes on such a big painting, noting all the subtle colour changes, Everyone says paint what you see, but I find it hard to know what I see if that makes sense, It clearly takes years and years of practice to SEE all those colours and put it all together. Yet another amazing work completed by you Andrew and so kindly shared for all of us to be inspired. Thankyou xx
I've been watching you for some time now, and trying to work up my courage to take painting serious. I watch you and I can almost see what you are going to do next. I feel I am getting a better eye for the lights, darks, lines and shadows and the way you hold your brush and move it around. I find myself looking deeper into your work, and I love watching you paint! Thank you Andrew for being such a amazing teacher. Great job, Andrew! The way you capture light, especially that greenish tint of the underside of the wave is incredible. Though I live in Wisconsin, I have seen this effect when I visit Florida and watch the Ocean. It’s right on, brother!

Do we wait for each layer to dry completely or can we paint when it becomes workable? 🎨
(I use stand oil. And follow Fat over lean principle in 3 layers.)
(As you taught us in the video about "mediums" It helped me.)

Hey Andrew I just want you to know that you inspired me to get into Oil painting! This summer I'll be going to some beautiful locations to plein air paint and get some practice in at Mt. Rainier and Mt. St Helens up in my home state of Washington! So pumped!
Masters always make it look easy. Still amazes me how those unrecognizable scratches of brushstokes in the beginning become something tangible and recognizable at the end.

Andrew, first of all its really impressive. Second of all, you inspired me to oil paint and really enjoy art. As a young kid (im 13), i really like relieving my stress of school onto paintings. I like painting landscape like beaches, forests, mountains and other stuff. Im a musician by soul and heart but i really love painting too. Just always a reminder for me that art is not a race so that i can actually take the time for perfecting my art. Great job on the art and also on inspiring people!!👍🏻👍🏻
