Sometimes grasses can be a challenge, but there are many different ways to interpret it, you have to find your style and what works for you! I think I have other videos depicting grasses, at least sand dunes! Maybe I can do a live video, I’m temped tonight, let me see what I can do!
I live in Florida and you are spot on. I am having so much trouble with the sandal palm and other types, that I am practicing strokes as mine come out at a blob! And yes, houses are really close the the beach in many areas of Florida, only tourist do not frequent those areas! Absolutely gorgeous! You just painted my dream cottage!
Great demonstration of brush work and paint application! I have 2 questions. How do you prep your surface? Also how do you dilute your color? Do you use water or diluting agent? Thanks in advance.
Thank you Pat!! The only prep I do is to sand the surface a Little with 180 grit sandpaper. And I only use water to dilute my paint, even when glazing.
Amazing! This could just be bc I’m just starting my landscape/realism journey, but if you could show us intermittently the photo you’re working from, it would really help understand how & why you take the steps you do to get those colors and structures. Does that make sense to anyone else?😂 I’m just a newby in painting, and I’m a visual learner
What medium do you use to thin your acrylics down, so they glide smoothly like that when you paint? Beautiful painting you’ve done - reminds me of the Scandinavian beaches
By mixing the compliment color in it, or by using a little burnt umber! For example to mute down a green color, add a little red to it and add a little white and you’ll see that the green will be toned down!
Hi Cheryl, believe it or not, there are plenty of houses here so close to the beach on the east coast, plus this is merely a representation of Florida!
I am amazed how you get that 'feathered" look with the sand and the grasses. I find this is the most challenging part for me to learn.

@@GebahiArtworks Thanks a lot
Wonderful demo. What kind of pallet do you use?
Thank you very much, I use a nonstick palette, why I purchased at Jerry’s artarama!!
Would you like to share what size of canvas you r using ..as it's a big problem for me to make video ,while painting for my own ART channel..

Great artist great teacher just subscribed. What brand are the acrylics? They must be high end artist acrylic as you need so little.

It’s in the distant background!

Someone in the background is trying to destroy your kitchen n your video
LOL, it was my wife!!!
@@GebahiArtworks
Well she s a hard working woman💛💚
Cécilia Synnott Lol, she’s not subtle for sure!!
The house doesn’t belong there. Too sandy, will collapse in a storm when the sand gets washed away. Just looks out of place.

The background noise is annoying
Will try next time without it.
Sweet little voices in the background:) Love it! btw, do you ever paint on MDF board or birch? Thanks so much for sharing.
Not MDF, but birch, yes!! Just apply professional gesso, at least 2 coats! Otherwise you’ll have a hard time because of the absorption!
