Thanks for showing telling about the two it’s a learning thing for me to see the deference. Thanks again for showing telling have a good day see ya next time see ya bye.
You need the extra anti scalp wheel on the scag discharge side because the front wheels are soooooo elongated, thus it’s prone to scalping , the shorter wheelbase on the Ferris negates the need for one I’ve had both mowers:scag 61”v ride and Ferris 61” and 52” z3x
great breakdown! you were very detailed and pointed out things that I wouldn't pay attention to. I demoed a few stand on last summer and the Ferris is way too snappy it drove me nuts. I did not try a Scag yet but they look good
@@zachstanton6135you absolutely wont be disappointed. They are smooth and efficient. I am getting the new vride xl 52” with 40hp vangaurd because i need one all around mower that is slightly bigger than my old husqvarna residential 48 and with more power for hills and thicker grass. I do alot of cleanups. Otherwise i would have bought the vride with 23 hp. Still has plenty of power but i want to go all out.
117 on my 33 hp,right around 80 on the 37hp,zero problems.all I do is grease them once a month, change blades a couple times a week.I clean the air filters out twice a month too.the 33 had its 100 hr service end on last season.that one they service the hydros
I could tell from the start you were in favor of the Scag. For example, you mentioned the handles on the trim side of the Ferris but didn't on the Scag. Pretty biased comparison I think...and I'm looking at these exact models and leaning towards the Scag.......but you were pretty biased.
kray brother same hydro fluid 20W50. The oil for Kawasaki in our area we use Kawasaki 10W50 synthetic blend. The oil guard engines use 15w50 full synthetic. The Kawasaki takes about 2 qts vs 5qts in the oil guard
Having had both, Ferris in a landslide. I got the 28 hp vanguard with oil guard and it’s a hoss. Scags controls are very stiff, the Vrides are horrible on hills, and it was a stiff ride. Ferris’ comfort is hard to beat, great on hills, doesn’t bog down, and the controls are adjustable and like jelly. The key placement doesn’t bother me, I prefer comfort and cut over minute details. I’m wanting to try a ZT because of the shocks and front end swivel alone.
Ferris Z2 by a mile. VRII wins: 1. cut 2. accessibility to change the Hydro oil. Z2 wins: 1. Better pad 2. Adjustable standing platform 3. More accessible PTO 4. Easier height adjustment 5. more HP engines for same cost 6. Better warranty and Customer service 7. Adjustable speed control. 8. Better hydro/motors 9. easier and more responsive controls. 10. Step off and only blades stop not engine.
Not sure of ferris but 52” vride 2 starts out around 10-12k i believe. You can get a nice 2 bin bagger system with accelerator for a surprisingly cheap 2k. I am purchasing a 2024 vride xl (scags new model) thats basically a blacked out beefed up vride 2 but with faster hydros and thicker frame. For $14,446.66 its a beast and looks awesome its also my first commercial mower! Cant wait. Should hear back today if i qualify for a loan.
So this is an apple to apple comparison per say. But the vride2 doesn't have any other model. The z3x smokes the vride 2 in features. Do another comparison. Plus you talking about hitting branches way to much. You act like someone gonna drive a mower into a thicket. Very biased
Ha don’t bash your competition or other brands to promote another. The Ferris will pull the Scag up a hill. Ferris. Then Wright. Then scag. It has to hold a hill if not just buy a Hustler. Sounds like a used car salesman in a cheap suit. Remember all of you landscaping professionals don’t trim branches and make sure to run your machines into them. Nuff said.
Uhhh. U have a brand new scag and uhhhh used ferris uhhh. Uhhh, I have 320 hrs on ferris and uhhh, maybe u should try greasing it uhhh. Atleast u cleaned it for the first time since u had it uhhh, for ur video uhhh

All the best, have a great selling season!
Haha he really hyped y’all up
2 awesome motors. Whichever has the best dealer support is the one you want.
I have two Z3’s. They mow incredibly nice! They are also SO HARD to work on. I’m not a top notch mechanic, but they are so tight!
Thank you so much for this video. I flirted with Ferris and am glad I stayed with ole faithful Toro.
I consider my scag v ride kawa 23hp a friend and family member now. I will never let go of it.
I just ordered a vride2 48 in. Calms my nerves to here you say that

Great review. Which one has the softer ride?
I’m running a first year z2 with now 1000 hours. Considering a vride next year, but this was the most biased comparison Ive seen yet.
Take a drink everytime he says uhhhh
I had both of those mower.scag isn’t even close to the Ferris.i think the z3x 61”37 vanguard is the best stander on the mkt
I love the Ferris mowers the best, love the Forefront suspension and the Pivoting front axle.
I really can't decide between the two. How many hours on your z3x now? Any problems? I'm favoring the Ferris

You are smoking crack. Lol.
Changing blades on that scag is a pain in the ass, Ferris is simple
What makes them so hard to change?

I wouldn't mess with a damn Scag mower.
The rear wheels are not for wheel stands, they are for coming off curbs and such.
Ferris make everything simple to get to
The only thing easier to get to is the grease fitting on top of the deck

Except the fuel gauge, dumbest place ever
Let me guess.... You sell Scag. LOL
If he's smart.

What's the prices on the two machines comparison wise and if they both have bagging systems that you can get for them

I've ran a snapper pro with the 28 vanguard and had the same snappy controls. Does the 37 hp vanguard on the scag have that problem or still smooth?
Spent the first 10 years on a scag, spent the last 20 on a Ferris.
and when the platform bottoms id shocks ur back

I agree 100%
Not smoother, pressure release adjustments can be made
No exhaust cover on Ferris!

Way to go man.
You cant compare the 2. Scag all day everyday.
What's the price difference?
kray brother map price on Ferris is 9399 and 8999.99 map price for scag

Never had a grease fitting break off on a Ferris mower 😂😂😂🤡
Give me the Ferris
Sweet man, they are simply the best in the class, keep up the good work man.
Anybody here have an opinion on which one cuts better in wet grass?
Vride is king in cut quality with dense thick wet grass
You have not used a Ferris Z2 with a Kawasaki. So much easier on maintenance with the Ferris by far.
Lol basically everything he says is a negative on the ferris is why the ferris is better. 😂
Maybe I’m just a snob but when you said “driving the mower,” I stopped the video
so which one handle hills and banks better
Ferris by far
UHHHH
Yeah I agree
I think the real question is which one can run into trees more.
This guy must cut in the woods
(Why in the world) had me dead😅😅😅
AHHHH
You have that set for 100lbs😂😂 goofy
to bad u cant float the scag deck. all the engineers think landscapers r bodybuilders
Do yourself a favor.... listen to your videos before you upload.... after the 50th uhhbh, I couldn't stand to listen any longer
Ferris everyday all day. Harsh review. Never ran them huh?
How about you actually put them to use to see a "comparison " talking sht isnt really comparison is it🤣😂
I can’t stand this guy’s reviews
Ferris Rules...Scag, well just look at the name...ew
Very biased review, detailed but biased.
What a horribly biased review.
Ferris are built rinky dink made to fall apart poor resale. I have scag mowers that are old enough to vote and still run.
