Good to hear such an unbiased comparison. Scag has always been the standard of cut quality that all other mowers aspire to. But I have no problem with your assessment of Ferris ride quality.
Thanks guys for that showing and telling about them two mowers. Me myself never had a zero turn and I am trying to learn about all of them. To pick the right one that I’ll be happy with, so keep up the good work showing and telling and that will help me. So guys have a great day see ya on the next video see ya bye.
Hey there Danny. Good to see you're still making great lawn videos man. My company still is doing great if you're wondering how we're doing. We actually have a Scag V Ride 2 61 in our mower fleet with the other scags we use. But I must say mowing wet grass can be a challenge
I made the mistake of buying the Scagg trying to figure out how I can get rid of it. The Ferris dealer said they do take trades, but I’m sure I’m not gonna get nearly what I want for it.
Nice, the scag controls are terrible compared to a Ferris. Not sure why scag cannot get that figured out. I have been on 4 different scags and they all are the same. Couldn’t mow a straight line with either of them.
Agree with some here. Something going on with that scag. Either rpms not high enough or has some pretty low lift blades. My cheetah with small 28hp kawasaki, stock hi lift blades, will throw clippings clear across 3 passes. In long grass it actually hinders it some since it tosses clippings past the next cut path and it will keep getting thicker. Have only ever seen a "clump" come out of the chute when cutting off 6-8 inches of wet sopping grass. Will build up under deck being that wet and thick but still not bad at all. Neighbor down the street mows with a ferris zx3 and a 3300. In my opinion his lawn looks terrible. Cuts too short first off but the clippings are blown barely out of the chute. After it dries and turns brown it looks like windrows. Whereas the scag just blankets the clippings over 2-3 passes out from the chute. Both solid mowers no doubt but, theres something different about that scag... my bet would be low lift blades.
I have been using a brand new rented scag v-ride 2024 while my 2023 Farris stand on is being worked on of course. I wish they would stop putting Chinese parts on them now. Ferris a lot smoother and faster. Scag beat you to death on rough turf.
All I use are Scags, I mow wet grass everyday with the dew. My Scags don't clump at all. Vride 2, Cheetah 2.
Check the rpms on each. I'd bet the scag is running low and if you turn it up to 3600 with the blades on it will make some difference.

Ferris mowers are top mower builds for sure

Ferris is the best in my opinion.

Scag all
That ferris can't touch That scag how about clean out from under that scag
