I own the Ferris Z2. I agree with the key situation, but that’s not-picking. As far as the gas guage, fill it up every day and you don’t need to check. Hour meter? Can’t remember the last time I cared to look at it. With the oil guard system on mine I rarely have to think about it. I happen to love the position of the deck height adjustment, as opposed to others that you have to lean over to change. My mind. Simple is best, and that’s what Ferris is. Comfortable, intuitive, great cut, and mows grass. That is what we’re here to do.
4 control bars to two . Big difference IMHO. I have a ferris z1 48" deck and I love it. Also the gas tank being on the outside with the write hanging off the side vs being directly over the center (ferris) of the axles is a win for Ferris imo. Not saying I wouldn't own a write because they are bad ass mowers too. But the comparison having to come down to Where the key is located and where the gas gauge is located. Not much to talk about. Cruise control with two operating bars vs no cruise control and 4 levers to worry about and yall made it look like the write was so much better. Come on brother. Lol. I know ya like your write but let's do a write comparison. Lol. Love your vids brother!! 👍👍👍
I own the Ferris Z2. I agree with the key situation, but that’s just being picky. And yes, to be accurate you need to compare the Z3X with 40HP, suspension, and large tires.
The height adjustment is confusing for about two minutes. Then it’s not. Very simple, and it’s right there, very little movement for adjustments. I don’t like having the pin for adjustment by your leg. On the Ferris, you don’t have to step off to adjust deck height. As for the gas tank, having it in the middle, that’s going to give you better weight distribution, in my opinion anyway. And they don’t know, I guess, that the platform is adjustable to the weight of the operator. Adjust it and it’s very soft. Chute on the Ferris is also made of flexible rubber, but who cares? Does anybody leave them on? In 2020, the Ferris does have greasable spindles, which I prefer. Grease fittings do mean more maintenance, but “maintenance free” in my experience just means it breaks sooner.
Anytime an employee refers to your business as "we" means he's invested in your business, he's taken ownership of your business interests and that's always a good thing.
I have the Ferris and the key deal is NOT an issue and in fact I like where it’s positioned. It’s easy to turn on and off the mower. You just reach right over the bar with your fingers and twist the key. Simple. Fuel gauge also isn’t a big deal. Also, how do you figure the fuel tank on the outside of a mower distributes the weight better than how the Ferris has the fuel tank right over the axle? That’s actually better for stability. You got it all backwards dude.
Try the Ferris Z1 36 inch with the upgraded 10.5 wheel and tire. Way better than the 8.5 tires from the factory. Way better than all other mower brands. Same size as the Z2 52 inch mower tires. Sticks to hills like fly paper.
in any relationship that a person uses the world "We", it means they count themselves as part of the relationship. They are invested, they are in it for the long run. Never ever discourage that and never ever be the one who discounts them so that you maintain your authority. Your Authority and ownership is by default, you need to walk the walk and not try to remind your employees who is boss at any given time. You need people like that.
Isn’t the same way with the cars you can just make everything like in the same :( if you come from Kia or Toyota and go to Mercedes-Benz now you have the same issues until you get it used
What he said about the gas tank being better on the side for the distribution of weight makes zero sense if you have any geometry understanding. The centre of gravity has to be as close to the centre.
The zk is the best mower out there but this isn’t a fair comparison as they aren’t in the same category. The regular stander is the one to compare to the z2. The Z3 is the one in the category of the wright zk
I have 4 toro 52 inch grandstands I don't use my walk behind anymore getting ready to get rid of them. I used to think the same way he did that you need a walkbehind for hills. But was I wrong toro grandstands are much better on hills than walk behind are as long as you don't jump off of it, and keep the weight on the back traction tires. Have a detention pond that I was able to do half of it with a toro 48 walk behind. But now I can do the whole thing with a grandstand, seriously those things are absolutely amazing on hills. But like I said before don't get the urge to jump off, do you will be in trouble.
In my opinion that Briggs Vanguard does circles over kawi. An unbelievable engine. I've got the 16 hp vanguard on my walk behind mower and it's a BEAST. No issues... EVER!!
You are right on the deck adjustment on the ferris. I had to write the cutting sizes for a whole year I hated it but now I'm used to it and love that mower. I like the gas tank where it is especially when I go around bushes. I have a 52" just like that one but mine has the Kawasaki engine. Great video, too long I had to skip to the middle but it was good:).
Like a comment said down there, the downsides that you guys pointed out about the Ferris Z2, the Z3X has all of those things fixed. The hour meter and height adjustment and everything fixed. It’s also got a 27.2 hp Kawasaki so you guys should try that one!!
Alexander Goushy G&G Landscaping there was also a comment down there that stated that I asked for that new z3 mower but they didn’t have it so I worked with what they gave me lol 😁😉
i love your positivity nick lol although grannys couch is still consuming me we keep getting snow here your videos keep me going throughout the winter though i can say that much hopefully by after st pattys day the winter weather here slows down congrats on the Wright youll love it my buddy that does lawncare as well owns a 48" Zero Wright looks really durable has the flip down seat or stander capabilities anyways keep positive im excited to see newer ninjas in videos we know itll be hard filming at controlling a team but youll still let us into your world thank you sir!
Realizing it is "so 5 MO ago" but if comparing the ZK to the F z2 , the Ferris you have there is more along lines of the comparable Wright "stander x"... The ZK is in category of the z3x then for me I like the coil over spring for platform, the 37 HP vanguard with the oil system and those stabilizer bars with the pivoting front end... Truth be told, i wouldnt kick either of those "ladies" out da bed. It's a battle royale! But Z2 vs the Wright ZK hands down the ZK all day. (edit: Over having to grease 29 Zirk fittings @ 5 bucks a tube too/ went for ZK /61/ 30 kohler myself) Thanks for posting. Hope all went well this summer.
Simon from the UK here... Big Congrats on the rental property's. Now you can run 2 cameras for longer videos 😉😉 Catching up with the videos now, as whilst I was in hospital someone nicked my new fence. It was only 4 months old. See you tomorrow ninjas
I have a Scag SW belt drive 48 inch cut and when I'm cutting in 4th gear it seems slow at Only a walking Pace . Is ANYONE Out Their HAVING This Problem Also ?
Speak to the dealer there is a digital fuel gauge that can be installed into that hole. But then again i could be wrong i have the Z3X which could be different than the Z2. The 2nd time on the wright stander is to keep up with the oil change intervals. Plus the Z2 does not compare to that Wright stander its in a different class the Ferris Z3X is more better matched.
Great video! I currently have a Scag Cheetah 61". Tank of a mower, but seems to lack on cutting ability. It will get through a lot, but I am more concerned on quality. It leaves so many stragglers! In your opinion, which stander mower leaves the best cut quality? I don't care how fast the unit can go..who the heck is riding at 13mph?!?!? Thanks for any input!
Makes no sense to call out one or your employees for saying “we” on a potential hiring decision. You’re the boss so show less insecurity and applaud any employee taking ownership. Your company will be more successful over the long term.
I demoed a Wright stander zk. It was a beast, great on hills, and fast. I just didn’t think the quality of cut was there. I have all Exmark lazer Z’s so I have high expectations for cut quality.
Congrats on the new properties! That's huge! Enjoyed the review on the mowers. Just an FYI, I don't know if anyone has commented or not but, the Ferris standing platform is totally adjustable to the preference and weight of the operator. The suspension is customizable and the angle of the platform is too. As far as I know the Wright is not and it only has a spring. It does take a couple of times to get used to the height adjustment but, it's a quick learn, no biggie. For me, personally, the hour meter location isn't an issue. I guess I don't really monitor that while I'm mowing. I like the Wright and considered that mower but, I'm more than happy with my Z2 choice! I enjoy the videos and have been watching daily!
You can adjust the shock on the Ferris to make it as stiff as you want it to be. It’s an actual shock. He’s knocking shit he knows nothing about during the whole video on the Ferris. And who gives a shit where the hour meter. Who the hell is going to ask you while you’re mowing hey hoe many hours does your mower have? If they care that much whoever is asking can read it for themselves if they are that close. The controls on the Wright may expose the key better but the handles are flat out stupid how they operate and the res of the world agrees.
And how do you say 2 gas tanks raised in the air offer low center of gravity vs one gas tank in the middle totally lower to the ground. That would be low center of gravity. Obviously.
And you have to bend over or get off the mower to adjust the deck height. I rather get used to how the number system is laid out a few times than have to get off the mower every time for the rest of my life to adjust the deck. That’s not a flaw to you???

Honestly a biased comparison the Ferris review was very nit picky and complaining about thing that don’t matter like how uncomfortable it is to turn a key or the hour meter but bad ass channel and vids 🤘🏼
Understandable most dealers don't carry many models on there lot compared to large garden and lawn tractors and full size agriculture ones its all about the dealer support for where you are located
The Z2 "disadvantages" are not really disadvantages - but pet peeves. Key location, hour meter location, height adjustment, the controls and platform looks are more in terms of personal preference having nothing to do with the mower's performance. Should not be a show stopper in a decision to purchase. Just like going from one model truck to another, there are small differences that just need some time to adjust to. The Z2 is a great mower, cuts and runs very well but that is my biased opinion, Ferris fan boy. As for the Wright, great mower as well. About the only disadvantages I've seen with them is the darn selling price....very high round here in comparison. Z3X is the one from Ferris that I'm interested in. True beast!
Like pizza comment we shows he's all in. With all the new accounts you need a good right hand man. The larger your company gets you need people you can trust and always has your back. Love your videos keep them coming.
Forgot to mentioned that you can adjust the platform where you stand on the ferris. But you probably know since its been a while you uploaded the video.
That may not be a trash bag, it may be to carry your roll of toilet paper in. Thanks for the videos , good luck with business growth and prospective new hires.
Not really comparing apples to apples here. Ferris has an SRS Z3 Z3X in a 61" or 72". Much beefier machine and would be closer comparison to that Wright.
Saving Green Lawn Care Yeah my dealer here knew less about the brand new SRS Z3 than I did...pretty sad. They won't be getting any in until next month.
That's not a z3- it's a z2. This video is a little misleading. The z3 is the premium mower made by Ferris that is still cheaper than the wright ZK shown. When you compare the Z3 Ferris to the ZK you'll see how the real comparison. Bigger/ Better engine, suspension and oil guard, all for less money than the Wright....
Y tf would you look at the hour meter when your using the fucking machine you use it everyday I mean it’s common sense that it’s up there so u don’t have it in the way of anything else
Longwinded "review" of a new mower that they are completely unfamiliar with to their daily driver. Review was like a Ford fan test-driving a Chevrolet. Both mowers are top rated and in the Ferris' defense they are comparing the middle-of-the-line Ferris to the top-of-the-line Wright. Ferris offers up to a 72" deck on the Z3x---the Wright does not. I have never heard any complaints about the ride quality of the Ferris, which is known for smooth-riding mowers. The Ferris also has rear fenders to reduce the amount of thrown-up clippings that end up on the operator. A true review would be more concerned with efficiency and cutting performance than minor ergonomic differences that have no effect on the profitability of the mowers.

I don’t think they offer 40hp on a Ferris as far as I know they only offer than on the Wright sit down mower
@@benjaminhernandez9198 yes they do. We just bought one where I work lol and I’ve demoed it a month ago.
It's an honor to have you with us. -Ed Wright

Well said Mike Stiner

I thought as long as the gas tanks have the same amount in each it would be ok.
One the wright the issue is that the motor lowers with the deck and you will scalp your lawns way more
THANKYOU and need your professionals comments

You can adjust the platform on the Ferris that pin in the middle has 4 or 5 adjustments on it, it’s adjustable for different weight operators
In my opinion that Briggs Vanguard does circles over kawi. An unbelievable engine. I've got the 16 hp vanguard on my walk behind mower and it's a BEAST. No issues... EVER!!
Absolutley I have a 23hp vanguard and it's bad ass. I never was a brig's fan until now.

Nothing changes only tires motor
I'm so motivated I'm going to go pass out flyers right now at night time. 😁. You guys are the best

My wright mower cant match the quality cut I get with my Ferris. I'm thinking of adding a scag or a gravely.
Simon from the UK here... Big Congrats on the rental property's.
Now you can run 2 cameras for longer videos 😉😉
Catching up with the videos now, as whilst I was in hospital someone nicked my new fence. It was only 4 months old.
See you tomorrow ninjas
I have a Scag SW belt drive 48 inch cut and when I'm cutting in 4th gear it seems slow at Only a walking Pace . Is ANYONE Out Their HAVING This Problem Also ?
Nick, you might not want to sell the white truck. You may need it for a 2nd crew for mowing or for guys to get materials and such.
Congrats Sensei Nick I know u will get it taken care of and have a excellent crew's

That's awesome - congratulations on the new properties
Play a joke on your crew and get one of those black & decker weed eater mowers and tell them this is your new mower.
get the Wright stander such a great machineee
good video nick. the platform is adjustable on the ferris. it has a pin with like 3 or 4 settings for rider comfort down at the bottom
Makes no sense to call out one or your employees for saying “we” on a potential hiring decision. You’re the boss so show less insecurity and applaud any employee taking ownership. Your company will be more successful over the long term.

Why don’t you get all the same size cut mowers except for walk behind and 32 so your stripes will match on all yards
I can't wait for your new season! You always motivate me to keep going and loving to be in the lawn care business. Great review too guys
Congratulations on the rental properties!
Congrats on the new properties! That's huge! Enjoyed the review on the mowers. Why not 2 60’s and 52 in standers then a 36 walkbehind so blades interchange? That is if a 36 walkbehind is any good on hills.
You can adjust the shock on the Ferris to make it as stiff as you want it to be. It’s an actual shock. He’s knocking shit he knows nothing about during the whole video on the Ferris. Thanks for the vids 👍
I hear people say the John Deere Stand on's are actually Wrights with green paint . Anyone know if this is true. I'd love to see a comparison !
A wright couldn’t hold a candle to a Ferris. Ferris is top of the line. You can’t afford it so just stay with a Wright.
Ferris has made walkbehind mowers and zeroturns much longer than standers. They don't exactly have the best stander yet but it's a good start into that market.
Can someone explain why a dual exhaust on a mower is a good thing? Personally seems like a negative as you have hot exhaust coming out both sides as opposed to one...
I have never taken into consideration where my exhaust exits. I have noticed how loud it is, which is the purpose of the dual exit exhaust. It's supposed to be quieter.
Nick have you looked at the Exmark Turf tracer walk behinds ??
Congratulations on the rental properties Nick! Great review, can't wait to see the wright ;) mower in action!
Your videos are great
Congrats, That's a big deal. Your wise to put the crew together before the season starts..
From my understanding by the deal whom has 2 brand new Z2's one with the Kawaski 801v and the 810 EFI he recommends the EFI hands down why wouldnt he push the Kawaski seeing its 300 more ....? If its better which I dont think it is.... what is wrong with the 810 EFI?
Congrats!!!
I Subscribed From The 2017 Set up At the beginning of lasts season.
Superior Grasscut that’s #loyalty
Thank you My Ninja!
Honestly a biased comparison the Ferris review was very nit picky and complaining about thing that don’t matter like how uncomfortable it is to turn a key or the hour meter but bad ass channel and vids 🤘🏼
Thats almost 40 cuts a day. Nice! Congrats!
What part of Tennessee are you in? I’m looking for a wright dealer in Nashville.
Dickens Turf
Check out some John Deere walk behinds and stand ons if you have a dealer close to you
mowers28 don’t have a dealer close to me, wish I did
Understandable most dealers don't carry many models on there lot compared to large garden and lawn tractors and full size agriculture ones its all about the dealer support for where you are located
🤘🏻 awesome dude!
Vanguard > Kawasaki.... great content as always I hope my 2018 is as prosperous as yours...
But Nick its so red and box like and plain. Were you talking about the truck on the camera? Kidding....nice vid as always.
Congratulations on the rental properties.
I run a 61 v-ride it’s the best but if I didn’t I would have a 61 ZK. Solid mower and better than the Scag other than the deck
Grow grass grow!!!! Gotta see this wright slanging them clippings
You look like riff raff
Heck yeah. Brigs is a no no kawasaki is the bomb
I really hope you get at least one Ferris!
Great video Nick. I hope you can find another one like Pizza. I think he’s gonna stick with you.
Love Tenn.
True beast!
Ron Williams thanks for saving me the typing.
Ron Williams I have the Z3X its a beast compared to the Z2. It has everything they wanted and didnt want with the Z2.
Hey good commentary on the z2. The key placement is actually intentional, it's placed below the wrist bar so the key doesn't get bent accidentally.
Hey Nick you put out some great content
thanks my ninja #loyaltyiskey you ninjas are loyal to me and i am loyal to you
Keep up da good work carnal I can't wait 2 start seeing mowing videos. I'm always pump 💪🍻💰📒💳🏧
Hire American 1 Mexican equals 1 American not feeding family
Like pizza comment we shows he's all in. With all the new accounts you need a good right hand man. The larger your company gets you need people you can trust and always has your back. Love your videos keep them coming.
Forgot to mentioned that you can adjust the platform where you stand on the ferris. But you probably know since its been a while you uploaded the video.
Nice man!!! Absolutely loved that review! It’s a hard comparison, because wright is sooooo good but so is Ferris!!!
Loyalty. That's right my friend. Again congratulations on the new big accounts
That may not be a trash bag, it may be to carry your roll of toilet paper in. Thanks for the videos , good luck with business growth and prospective new hires.
Ferris good first mower? No Wright dealers close
Not really comparing apples to apples here. Ferris has an SRS Z3 Z3X in a 61" or 72". Much beefier machine and would be closer comparison to that Wright.
i agree, i asked for that exact one but they didn't have it in yet so i worked with what they gave me
Saving Green Lawn Care Yeah my dealer here knew less about the brand new SRS Z3 than I did...pretty sad. They won't be getting any in until next month.
Pizza ever gonna get a license ya think orrrr
That is like comparing a toyota to a mercedes lol. Shoulda done the z2 to a stander I
Hey pizza u need to get ur driver's license taking care of before cutting season starts hope u can get it real soon bro
Gonna need a second crew
That's not a z3- it's a z2. This video is a little misleading. The z3 is the premium mower made by Ferris that is still cheaper than the wright ZK shown.
When you compare the Z3 Ferris to the ZK you'll see how the real comparison. Bigger/ Better engine, suspension and oil guard, all for less money than the Wright....
You got 12345678 m’s in your bank account.
Sounds like the 2014 truck and trailer is about to be used
Do a Ferris srsz3x not a z2
Y tf would you look at the hour meter when your using the fucking machine you use it everyday I mean it’s common sense that it’s up there so u don’t have it in the way of anything else
Hey niiiiiick does pizza get promoted to crew leader nooooooow?!?
Lol
Smh lol
Wright has walk behind and rider models have you checked those out already?
I just bought a 72 Wright ZK. They've offered it for a couple three years now. That being said, I agree Z2 vs ZK isn't exactly apples to apples.
Agreed this was a horrible review I have both these mowers and a quick cat the Ferris out performs both
@@geoffreydrum9065 my Wright out performes Ferris
TWO BIG AZZ cup holders
