I use both at my work and they are 61in. Both are great for starters. At work We hop curbs and being that the ferris platform is so low it makes that difficult compared to the vride. I also like the way scag puts the deck lift on the right side rather then the ferris. Most people are right handed. As for the quality of the cut, there are many variables too that.
Looks like you got the closeup on the Scag cut quality in part 1, but not the Ferris.... And does it seem like the Ferris has a built in striping kit, or something at the back of the deck? Perhaps the Scag has a baffle issue... Or I wonder if the deck is clean, since that is a demo unit...
Hey thanks for the comment. Yes on my part 1 video after I used the Ferris z3x I got a shot of the cut quality. It looked so much better than the Scag did. Yes my Ferris does have the built-in striping kit and the Scag doesn't which is why the stripes on my Ferris are more defined than the Scag. The Scag is my buddies mower and he let me demo it to compare it to my Ferris. Both mowers are great I feel the Ferris is just a way more comfortable ride and the cut quality is better than Scag.
Hmmm…. My SCAG is amazing, but it’s the Turf Tiger 2 big daddy. I used Ferris back in the 90’s, I enjoyed it and was a good mower. It was the 3 wheeler model with the hydraulic deck on front. Just my thoughts Brother, you can check out my vids if you’re interested. ✌️💪😎
Sorry I don't run up over curbs with my Ferris so I couldn't tell you. I'm guessing if you had to go over a curb you go in at an angle up over the curb and come off the curb at an angle?
@@turningoveranewleaflawncar952 alright I was just curious if your machine would be able to reverse over it at an angle. I appreciate your response. Thank you
If you run the throttle up to wide A open, and get about 30 feet back from the curb, and smash 💥 straight head on deck first into the curb, it usually goes over them fine, why do you ask? typically I try and get to around 20-25 mph when doing that maneuver tho just a heads up. Kidding tho, no curbs on either of my mowers

Hey thanks for your comment I appreciate it! I'll check them out.
I have switched all my 7 mowers to ferris over the past 2 years i love them specially the power of the z3x
I love the power of the z3x too along with the oil guard and articulating front end. Those are game changers!
I wud bet money that Z2 you got would also spank that arse
How do you get over a curb with the Ferris?

Is the Ferris a 52 or 61" deck?
61"
