Just curious where this idea of just letting an outboard idle in a bucket as break in came from? Modern engines don't really require a break in, just take it out and use it. Well I mean just normal usage is a proper break in
Its in the manual you need to do 8 hours of break in slowly reving it. The first 2 hours was mostly idle with some reving and I did it run it a little in forward and reverse. This her was yesterday for 1 hour. ua-cam.com/video/k0o1tIAlvYY/v-deo.html
Why don't new engines need to be broke in?
@@user-mc5wc6my5n This is a new engine. All Engines have to broke in no matter if it is outboard or a car or a truck. Any engine if you put to many rpms when they are new you will seize them up. Check google and see if you have to break in a new car.
Nice little motor
thx
No concerns of it overheating?
I was getting a little warm. I new this because when I put my hand in the water it was warm So I put in forward which had over half the water come out and then filled it again. I did this twice and we where fine again. I did this like 2 or 3 times by just feeling the water in the pail
