I’ve been researching these little motors trying to buy one The last couple of days and no one ever post videos anymore of them and so just now you posted this and it was like great there’s another video it was awesome thanks for sharing😂
I honestly love mine. I’ve got a 6.5 mud motor and this 4hp 4stroke and I prefer this thing way more than all of the batteries and trolling motors. That little motor starts up every time. I think it’s crazy how well such this cheap motor runs.

It's impossible to start when the engine is warm?
I have this same motor and what a game changer... trolling motor will get 3mph maybe 4 but you got a short life span with a battery. When i got the gas motor it moves faster and as long as you got gas you can go further and get there quicker. Best investment I ever got for my 8ft bass buster. Great video...
Yes! We think exactly the same. It was a game changer on mine too and it sips the gas.
How far will a full tank of gas go in miles? I have roughly the same set up as you
No water cooling. Quiet. So light you can walk around with it. It idles all day. 1 pull starting. Don't forget the lower end gear oil. Break the 2 cycle habit and never look back. I'm happy with mine.

It helped a lot in deciding which to get. I got the "upgraded" version with the crappy swivel handle. How is it doing nowadays?

I have this motor in a jet powered. It works great on a trashy river , it just raises itself over submerged logs.

If you turn the handle 180 degrees is it posible to reverse?
That’s how I back up but you gotta make sure you have the depth set right or prop will hit undersode

That motor has lasted so many trips and sips on gas and puts out great horsepower for its size. I fished a river a couple times and got wrapped up in grasss and the clutch started slipping a little bit. They sell the clutch for $50 on Amazon so it is well worth it
It looks like a sun dolphin boat But ive never seen that model. What is it?
That is a pelican bass raider i got this one at academy. They are similar to a sun dolphin and are under $1000 just about anywhere you find em. These are by far the best plastic small boats over the pond prowler or the sun dolphin.
Seems like a nice motor. Surely a light lighter than my 4 HP Evinrude from yesteryear. And priced in my budget too. It did seem a little loud though but that would be expected. Did it heat up or get hot after running for a while? Also see there is an electric model, would that one be just as good?
You know it sounds louder on the video than what I originally thought it would be. It sips on fuel, and doesn’t get that hot at all. I seen the electric model and I’ll have to get one to give a try but this motor for what it is and the amount of weight for electric is the way to go for me. I hope that helps bud

I have the powermat 580 5.8hp outboard motor 2 stroke it put my 13ft vhull boat at 5/6mph max speed n run time 30 mins per tank 1100ml fule tank i got mine from amazon in uk for £250 i use my boat n motor on river clyde scotland vids on my youtube 🚣👍

@@TBassFactory iv had my powermat 580 for 5 years the only thing to happen to my motor is it broke off its transon fiting by metal shear that lead to motor ripping apart n sank my seahawk2 motor diy fixed it still runs need to see if it will be ok of summer boating for 2024 pics on my channle wall 🚣👍

In Canada, just the price for a 100Ah marine battery is 50 to 100 dollars more expensive than a 3.6hp Hangkai 2 stroke.

Hey the tiller handle is flips/rotates around 180 degrees so u can control the motor in reverse easier

Only ~0.1/0.2mph drop and with an additional 100lbs of kids? If you're alone and don't carry much gear, you could probably put a higher pitch prop on it and easily hit 5mph or more.

How long does the full tank last?
A long time. I’ve gone miles and it sips on gas. I take a backup with gas but haven’t needed it yet and go all day on my bass raider.

Yep pretty much. It’s basically a small gas engine just like a lawn mower.
One seat no trolling motor no battery. And no way it hit 4 mph
