    Wow, that's a really decent setup! I really like the fact that you can pull all four sides of the rainfly out to get better ventilation, but you still get good rain coverage. The stitching on that zipper you pointed out is a concern, but with Teton's warranty, it probably wouldn't be a big deal to get a replacement in that case.

    Thanks for another excellent review. You've reviewed a couple of tents that don't have a footprint even though they say they are included in their instructions. I'm trying to decide if I need a footprint (using a tarp) under a Coleman Hampton tent - not my choice of tent but wife insisted on it. What's your thought on it?

    • @CampingGuidance
      @CampingGuidance  Рік тому +1

      Thank you so much as always! You're so sweet for always watching my reviews 🥰 And yeah I kind of figured that they just didn't update their instructions 😂 Using a tarp would definitely be a good choice for sure. I don't show it in my videos but I do protect the base of my tents most of the time, and also helps with cleaning it up hahaha. Hmm I don't have the Coleman Hampton though! Think it wasn't available on my local Amazon for some reason. I think it looks like a decent cabin tent but you can probably expect it to perform the way all my other Coleman tents have performed 😅 What are your wife's thoughts on it?

    • @chomp54321
      @chomp54321 Рік тому +1

      @@CampingGuidance Good points on why a footprint is a good idea.
      I have no high expectation for the Coleman tent. In fact, I dread it. My wife likes the D door because she doesn't want to bend her knees to operate the zipper, as she sometimes experience pain in her joints. She would not be swayed by my argument that good tent zippers like the one on the Gazelle T4 Plus (my preference) are snatch-free and would take little effort to operate. I just hope that we're not going to encounter heavy rainfalls during our up-coming camping trip.
      Update: I think I jinxed myself, because the weather forecast says there'll be a thunderstorm. In fact, it says it will rain the two full days that we'll be there. We may have to abandoned the trip. 🤣 I think I'll still give it a go if we had the Gazelle tent, but certainly not with the Coleman.

    • @CampingGuidance
      @CampingGuidance  Рік тому

      @@chomp54321 Ah I see. The D door is definitely a huge selling point for lots of folks actually, I found quite a few people asking me about it at one time haha. But you're right, between the Coleman and the Gazelle, I would definitely go with the Gazelle 100%. Oh man I'm so sorry to hear about the weather forecast! Yeah that totally sucks honestly 😔 When do you need to buy the tent by? Oh btw have you heard of the L.L. Bean Acadia cabin tent? One of my viewers told me about it, and it has a hinged door too so your wife would probably like it. It's not available in Singapore, but I was wondering if you had any experience with L.L. Bean tents!
