I just love how raw this is. The b string out of tune, Anthony’s vocals aren’t flawless. It’s the best tho. This is how music is meant to be, the virtue of the song is what stands out.

    Sometimes I feel

    The city of angels
    Lonely as I am
    Together we cry
    I drive on her streets
    'Cause she's my companion
    I walk through her hills
'Cause she knows who I am
    She sees my good deeds
    And she kisses me windy
    I never worry
    Now that is a lie
I don't ever want to feel
    Like I did that day

    Take me all the way

At least I have her love

Some ppl on here have no idea what their taking about. 1. Anthony kiedis was clean during this time, he quit around 1987-1988. So he's not high at all here. 2. John started doing heroin once he quit the band. 3. This song is about when kiedis was a hardcore drug addict and his only friend was a connection of his named Mario. They went to the belmont tunnel aka the hole which goes underground under a bridge. Basically that day and time period was a low point in his life.

Our worst moments makes the best of who we are. Never would I lie because it’s one thing to be a hard of hearing man in a hearing world.
