Though I take exception to him calling them an 80's band...they were still popular into the 80's but they were a 70's band. Oh, and his partner has done them several times on her channel
They are still around and still touring, albeit with new line up as all the original members have passed on, with exception of singer named Justo, I believe.
My late husbands 1st cousin Robert (Fett) Nix was a founding member of ARS and played with Roy Orbison’s Candymen and recorded with Skynrd.. He co--wrote this and other ARS hits . He was hella drummer!. We sadly lost him in 2012.
This song was popular while dating my husband. It may be the reason we only dated 5 weeks! We've been together for 46 years on March 30th!!! I'm still very much into him and I truly still see that love for me in his eyes. I've never wanted anyone else since then.
They were so popular in the 70s, that their song, Champagne Jam spawned the annual Champagne Jam weekend music festival. They recorded in the same studio that Lynyrd Skynyrd did, Studio One, in Doraville, GA. There is a funny video/interview with Ronnie Hammond, explaining the first time the Skynyrd boys blew into town. It’s hilarious, and the term, “BLEW INTO TOWN” was very aptly put. 😂
This band has many hidden gems. Once you get past So Into You and Imaginary Lover that everyone wants you to react to, you will find a treasure trove of very good music. Stylish Southern Rock, they were called back in their day.
These guys are amazing at creating a smooth vibe. I remember trying to find this song for the longest time back in the late 90s, because I hadn’t heard it since the late 1970s , 79,80? Anyhow great reaction.
My husband made me an " love " cassette ( back when they were before CD's) and of course this song was the first one. I still have that cassette....... It's been 36 years we are together so far.....
I'm a Paul Goddard fan! This band was originally the Classics Four. They remade their biggest hit, Spooky, with better guitar work after the name change and adding members.
Ohh, do I have a special memory of this song! In 1976 I was 19. As the jukebox played this song. This guy that I was "so into" was mouthing the corus, as he was watching me play pool. **** The rest of the story wasn't so great .
Funny how the hits were so mellow but if you listen to the classic albums they were pretty heavy, red tape was a rockin album . This was still cool, it was on the radio all the time
Well, you asked for some 'smooth' for the little lady? I'm all about dat 'smooth'. Here are two you should check out; Duncan Sheik; Barely Breathing ua-cam.com/video/A-oh-tP6RvA/v-deo.html and America (a band you've already covered); Three Roses; ua-cam.com/video/A9keYQzgg9c/v-deo.html

Excellent choice and reaction. Was one my car mixtape in the 70s when it was an actual cassette tape. Along with Spooky. Others on that tape included "Why Did You Do It" by Stretch ua-cam.com/video/ZVRHy3HKNTs/v-deo.html "South City Midnight Woman" by The Doobie Brothers ua-cam.com/video/1-zb2OKDFvA/v-deo.html "How Long" by Ace ua-cam.com/video/6Oe9uiG6Suk/v-deo.html You could do worse reacting to any of these imho.
Give me another smooth song that's on your playlist! I'm trying to impress someone special.
Todd Rundgren...Hello It's Me
Same band, a song called Champagne Jam. Seriously.
@@KevinRCarr there is also a reaction to Champagne Jam on Tasha's channel...check it out!
Have you done any Jeff Buckley? Try "everybody here wants you".
I think you have listened to him before, but I always recommend Boz Scaggs for these occasions. And most other occasions as well.
Finally. A reacter found ARS. Great band.
Yes! They were great.
Though I take exception to him calling them an 80's band...they were still popular into the 80's but they were a 70's band. Oh, and his partner has done them several times on her channel

I love how he’s just grooving. He just lets it play without pausing and commenting. That’s cool

Back in the late 70's we would hear them play at a studio in Doraville, GA. They have a song of the same name about the town.
There is an unlimited amount of this style from the 70's, you hit Ambrosia yet? so much smooth soulful funk wrapped in soft rock vibes.

Spittin' game🤣🤣🤣 nice!!
Excellent selection! Thanks.
Those white boys got SOUL
Portions of the melody in this song reminds me of the Alan Parsons Project song I Wouldn’t Want To Be Like You.
I'm a Paul Goddard fan! This band was originally the Classics Four. They remade their biggest hit, Spooky, with better guitar work after the name change and adding members.

This particular tune is reminiscent of Allen Parsons Project.
bump and grind music.
You have to agree You grew up in the wrong era..such a great selection of music 🎶
I knew you would like it.
I've always thought Luther Vandross could have done a good cover of this.
These white southern boys laid down a straight up Jam: smooth and funky but it's laid back but swings hard nevertheless
10.... In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel
Top 5 ARS song
This is an easy one.... 6291 out of ten!

They were all session musicians
I thought this was Steely Dan when I was a teenager in the 80s.

Why is there no new music that is crafted like stuff from this era?
Excellent choice and reaction. Was one my car mixtape in the 70s when it was an actual cassette tape. Along with Spooky.
