My parents had a similar very deep cabinet in the house I grew up in. They had a carpenter build a floor to ceiling Lazy Susan in it. The entire system had a pole in the center from floor to ceiling. Each shelf was circular and could be turned at will to view everything on the shelf. There were no hidden areas and it held a ton of stuff! I still have memories of family members opening the door to the cabinet and gleefully standing and twirling the shelves to find goodies, etc. This would be a project that you could do now and not wait years to remodel your entire kitchen. Just a thought!
This is probably my favorite decluttering series! I did our overflow pantry in the basement and I came up with a grocery bag of expired foods. Plus I reorganized it so now things are easier to find. Another thing I've started doing is putting the expiration dates on jars, etc., with a Sharpie so I know what to use up first, this has helped tremendously so food doesn't go to waste.
P.S. I also love the longer than 10 minutes videos, because I like to clean or declutter while listening to you. It makes me feel like you are right here with me, encouraging me on. Thank you so much.
I did D.O.C. last year and I think it is the best way to do this. I actually got through everything in my jar and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I've been thinking about doing this again and I will start along with you. You look fantastic today...love the hair and the leopard print on you!
So happy you are doing DOC again. I am like you, I love stuff. I also had the idea of turning your pantry into a half bath. Great idea. I don’t have a pantry because my kitchen is very small and I make do putting my food in the kitchen cabinets. I have heard you say that you would like to get rid of your basement toilet but Scott and the boys don’t want you to. DON’T EVER GET RID OF THAT TOILET. I am almost 24 years older than you and believe me as you get older you will be so happy you have that toilet down there and you won’t have to run up and down the stairs. I received my My Great Challenge T shirts the other day and I LOVE them. Lovely fabric and colors and I can’t wait to wear them.
You can stack your cans on a lazy Susan thats what I do and it works very well! I use the 16 inch lazy Susan's and love them! (Our cabinets are the corner ones they are pretty deep and at an angle) You always make it look so functional and good when your done! Thanks for sharing! I will enjoy this series again on your channel! 👍🏽😁💐
I think it's a great idea to put a half bath where the pantry is. Instead of making a tall pantry that blocks the window, you could do a waist high pantry with all drawers. Side by side drawers instead of a tall pantry.
Love your hair that length. I also enjoy watching you declutter. I'm currently helping my son move from one house to another and we are trying to declutter at the same time. Fun fun fun. Love your channel.
I just love you! Your approach, your attitude, the way you reflect and are honest, you are just the best! Let's love what we have and own it, not everything has to be on the cutting edge of tomorrow's design, as so what if we like something else anyway? My house is 117 years old here in NJ and I love the details you just can't find elsewhere. I enjoy new, old, and everything in between, I feel like you are the same. Go go Sophia, love it!
your hair looks so pretty today! This video came at a good time. I had a wreck 3 years ago and let my house get bad. I'm in the middle of decluttering and rearranging things in a bedroom upstairs. I have alot of stairs and I'm so worn out today. I still have another week of it probably.
Thank you for addressing the whole kitchen trends. It really seems silly when we look at it from this perspective. And helps us get past the urge to keep up
Sophia try stacking cans from front of cupboard to the back have the empty space at the back and restock the new into the back space and pull older stock forward that way you rotate stock and can see it all at a glance.
First Sophia, your hair looks awesome....love it!! The pantry looks good! I like that you re-organized to fit what you need (or use the most). Cookies just need to go in the jar....no more hoarding them!!! I like that you put Edward's stuff up high because he can reach it!! Lol.😁 The infamous wooden spoon...Lol.🐶
Thank you, Sophia. I clean while listening. You make the time go by faster and seeing the progress in your videos (I've been watching since late 2016) keeps me motivated because I don't often notice it in my own house :)
So, I had a crazy thought. What about moving your dishes to the pantry and having the food in the kitchen cupboards? Dishes will take up those deep shelves well without getting lost.
Love DOC. I do a version of this. Like you, I work full time. I just wrote every area down that I wanted to tackle. As an RN and shift worker, I just pick chores that I am able to accomplish on the day. So far, so good. I have powered through them. I have been putting off the oven, need a day off to do that. I still do a flylady, weekly home blessing. Look forward to watching more of these vlogs.
Hi Sophia, I enjoy the Doc series & well any video you put out including sewing & I dont sew! You look exceptionally lovely today....hair, earrings & leopard skin, it really suits you 🐆💕🇬🇧
I am so excited that DOC your house is back! I have started again back in the summer and I got stuck! Now, I can start back with you! I absolutely love your hair that way! It looks so good.
You are just so down to earth. ☺️ I’m going to need to declutter my pantry before I head back to work. School starts in a couple of weeks! Thanks always for the motivation AND you look beautiful as always. Love from Canada 🇨🇦❤️
Love you hair , your outfit and your music. I have thinking of working on my pantry area. Much smaller than yours but only me using. Keep up the good work. Same mindset. Cleaning isn’t my favorite thing but I like the results. ❤️👏❤️👏
So excited you are doing D.O.C. again Sophia!!! It really is an inspiration. I've been happily rewatching your 30 bags in 30 Day challenges also for inspiration. Your Merch arrived (tee-shirt) and I'm thrilled with it. The cotton is so soft and comfortable. Loving your bob! So very chic and francaise!! Love it!
First time I'm seeing your new hair cut, LOVE IT! You look very stylish! Love your channel, you're so authentic and great helpful information all the time.
I am so excited! I got all but about 4 of my items decluttered last year. I have my little pieces of paper around here somewhere and am totally into this again. THANK YOU! At 15:00... that is why I love you so much. You crack me up!
Hi Sofia , I love the DOC series and oh by the way I made the preacher cake and we love it I have to take some to my daughter yummy maybe I should walk there with the cake 😆 so delicious ❤️
Possibly anyType of clear containers that would fit and could hold groupings or multiples that you have of boxes cans so on I get mine at the dollar tree 🌳 It helps I’m not parting with it yet It has its uses no Waiste brings me joy:) plentiful bounty I guess lol Would Also be easier to slide then out or off to the side when reaching to the back looking good Sophia keep up the good stuff
I love tour DOC series. I did it along with you last time, all be it a bit behind you and had to substitute a few areas. I will do the same this time, gets me going. Woohoo!
First time watching. Looks like a great place for a half bath. Especially with plumbing right there. Right before I sat down to watch I organized my Tupperware cabinet. Funny.
DOC your house is highly motivational, I worked along with you on some of the events, I may try and keep up with some of these videos! Thanks for sharing the journey with us. Also, your hair looks good- you look great Sophia!
I’ve been following you for years!!! You got me into the fly lady and yep I’ve stop has well!!! But gosh you got rid of some much stuff!!!! So here we go again!!! Let us begin❤️
You were spot on: Open shelving with a "live" edge. I personally like the look of a combo of traditional cabinets and open shelving - I fear I'm too lazy to keep open shelves as immaculate as the ads. Gotta have somewhere to stash my endless and growing supply of Slim Chickens/Newk's cups, haha.
I have open shelving - for one reason only, to fit one item in a row. As with cabinets you can’t find a container that will fit properly and you end up with having two containers with maybe 6” gap on the top and sides. This results in smaller items being shoved in, and when my children want to cook anything the said shoved in items have to be taken out. I think that was the best decision I’ve made as the open shelves remain tidy with minimal effort from me. However, if my mother had open shelves - that’s another matter completely and I would advocate for her to keep her cupboards!
DOC is back. Thank you Sofea. My daughter and I went through the fridge yesterday. After decluttering, we are still in awe that we end up having 60% of space in the fridge.
Looks fantastic. I think you are correct that this is your best pantry organization yet. Perhaps make some chili with all those beans and corn bread on the side. Im on a kick of yogurt and granola for breakfast every day. Thank you for doing this series again. Im going to do it with you this year instead of just watching.
If you want a cheap alternative to the rolling can holder you could use an empty 12 pack from soda/pop. If it gets damaged you can just recycle the box and use a new one.
So glad to see your video! Pantries are much like garages… perpetually in need of attention, it seems. Love your hair! 💕 You’re looking great, my friend!
You can use the two plates under your potted plants. I didn’t think I had anything to declutter in my pantry, but I decided to take a look. I got rid of four out of date spices that I bought for recipes we ended up not liking. I consolidated a few things and made some breathing room. I’m going to follow along with you since reviewing spaces won’t hurt! Thanks!
I actually did my walk in pantry last week. We had a mouse, which the cat 'removed'. So all shelves needed wiping down. Good opportunity to do the complete declutter and tidy.
Yay!! Glad to see DOC back 👏🏻☺️ Love this idea I am totally going to try this as I have multiple areas in my home to DOC and not sure where to start…thanks for sharing! 🥰
First view of you! I wouldn’t be storing heavy fragile dishes up high! Danger! And surely it stops you from using them! Maybe have a secondary pantry in the basement?
Hi! Well, my city is back in lockdown and I'm working from home again. Sooo, I'm going to use your D.O.C. method to deal with my pantry today and tomorrow. Last lockdown I end up locked up physically from not enough exercise and long hours at the computer. My plan this time around is to set an alarm, get up each hour, and each time I'll tackle a shelf. Clean house and a moving me... win win!
God bless your enthusiasm for everything Sophia this is what keeps us motivated that everything matters to you and that you like things and helps it matter to us as well couldn’t agree more with the beginning ladles comment “you do you boo “more or less not your words lol
It s a major project. A contractor in our area would take serious money for that plus a ventilation system would jave to be installed. The whole thing would need to be linked to the sewer via the basement and the existing exhaust pipe, we re talking ripping slathe walls to reach those pipes. And it has to meet code.
My parents had a similar very deep cabinet in the house I grew up in. They had a carpenter build a floor to ceiling Lazy Susan in it. The entire system had a pole in the center from floor to ceiling. You look great! I’m so glad DOC is back!!
Like your hair like that. Looks very pretty. Then again, you always look good. Have a wonderful day.
Your hair is awesome in this video! I needed this video for encouragement to declutter. Yet again. Love the DOC vlogs!

oooh~ I love that you're starting the series again!
My favorite series! I absolutely agree to not follow trends. Make your home your own style. 🏡😊
You got me started with 30 bags in 30 days! I love this plan too.
I did D.O.C. last year and I think it is the best way to do this. I actually got through everything in my jar and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The newest trend? Farmhouse! They’re shiplapping and chalk painting anything that doesn’t actively escape their Joanna Gaines-like clutches.
I loved your previous D.O.C. videos, and created my own items to do, too! Can’t wait to watch this (and participate)!
I freaking love your hair & your style! You look beautiful, your skin looks good too ❤️❤️
The pantry empty reminded me of the circus clown car where a ton of clowns come out of a tiny car. I love your channel. You look marvelous!👍👍🙏🏽
your hair looks so pretty today! This video came at a good time. I had a wreck 3 years ago and let my house get bad. I'm in the middle of decluttering and rearranging things in a bedroom upstairs. I have alot of stairs and I'm so worn out today. I still have another week of it probably.
You look extra pretty today.🥰 Thank you for sharing your “new” DOC series with us.😊
I well organised pantry Sophia I've seen all the others you have done over the years and yes I agree this one looks the best organised so far.
Your new hair style looks very French chic. I really like it.
I live out of a backpack but its finally my day off of work so I'm binge watching these cuz they're relaxing. XD I'm an extreme minimalist lmao.
Thank you for addressing the whole kitchen trends. It really seems silly when we look at it from this perspective. And helps us get past the urge to keep up
I love, I love, I super love these videos of organization, declutter and cleaning 💕

Yea! Luv the DOC series. Things won’t take very long this time, you’ve decluttered so much in the past.
My son is starting to move out so I can now begin to clean out my pantry!! Oh boy, now I get to declutter my whole house.
Thank you, Sophia. I clean while listening. You make the time go by faster and seeing the progress in your videos (I've been watching since late 2016) keeps me motivated because I don't often notice it in my own house :)

You look so sophisticated today, your hair makes you very glamorous 💕
I love this series! I watched this video when it came out, but I'm rewatching it today, to declutter along with it :)
Greetings from France ☺
I think long narrow baskets you can slide in and out would work in your pantry on the selves that don’t have the pullout trays.
I had those. Things disappear in baskets I need to see what I have
@@mygreatchallenge Well it looks good now! Sometimes it just needs a good cleaning out and you did that! 💜👍💜👍💜
I am so excited that DOC your house is back! I have started again back in the summer and I got stuck! Now, I can start back with you! I absolutely love your hair that way! It looks so good.
Yippee 🙌🏻 I really enjoy the DOC!!!! Your hair looks beautiful 💜💜💜
Was missing your videos Sophia!! Love the DOC series. I need motivation to get my house done. Love your hair by the way. It is a great style for you.
You are just so down to earth. ☺️ I’m going to need to declutter my pantry before I head back to work. School starts in a couple of weeks! Thanks always for the motivation AND you look beautiful as always. Love from Canada 🇨🇦❤️

Sophia, thank you! I so need to get motivated in this area of my life. Watching now!💙
I love your D.O.C series! I'm so glad they are back.
Yay!! Love your decluttering/cleaning videos! With your professional background, would you talk about introvert vs extrovert and the home?
I'm so happy this series is back! Your pantry looks great!
I am so excited! I got all but about 4 of my items decluttered last year. I have my little pieces of paper around here somewhere and am totally into this again. THANK YOU!
At 15:00... that is why I love you so much. You crack me up!
YIPPEE!! D.O.C. is back!!!
I like your idea about the bathroom and kitchen pantry. Love the inspiration from D.O.C. Your hair, cute!
Love the music while you're emptying the pantry! I always enjoy listening to music like that when I do housework, I find it makes me work faster.
Love your hair! And love the DOC series!!
Hi Sofia , I love the DOC series and oh by the way I made the preacher cake and we love it I have to take some to my daughter yummy maybe I should walk there with the cake 😆 so delicious ❤️
Your hair looks amazing by the way x
Oooooooo, I do love a decluttering video! Yaaaaaaaaay x
Your hair looks so nice! And that animal print top is so flattering on you 👍
Yeah to decluttering! I am decluttering again this month too! 💜👍💜 Yep sometimes you just gotta take everything out 🤪
Woohoo! Back to decluttering!!
Possibly anyType of clear containers that would fit and could hold groupings or multiples that you have of boxes cans so on
I get mine at the dollar tree 🌳

I don’t go by trends I go by what I like
Love that DOC is back and also love the hair style.

Great video. And your hair! It looks so good.
You are so good at encouraging people.
You've never looked better! -your hairstyle is perfect on you!

I am so glad this is back! it works so well!!! Thank you Sophia!! I made the stuffing casserole!! huge hit.. zucchini in place of chicken is so good.
DOC is back. Thank you Sofea. My daughter and I went through the fridge yesterday. After decluttering, we are still in awe that we end up having 60% of space in the fridge.

Loved DOC last year so excited for this new series since im doing a deep spring clean and declutter here in Australia.
Loving the haircut. I worked on my pantry for a little while yesterday. Watching this today has given me the push to work on the whole thing tomorrow.
You look great…and the pantry does too! 😁
So glad to see your video! Pantries are much like garages… perpetually in need of attention, it seems. Love your hair! 💕 You’re looking great, my friend!

Girl you look so good it’s been a while since I’ve watched your videos
I have deep shelves and no pantry in my Manhattan apartment. I think you did an excellent job with the organization! I hope it sticks!
Love your bathroom idea for the ground floor! (As an architect) I would love to see it, but 15 years is quite some time to wait for it, lol 😅
It s a major project. A contractor in our area would take serious money for that plus a ventilation system would jave to be installed. I just LOVE your channel! 😊💜
Love the DOC series! Love your look!
Sophia ,your hair looks beautiful.
I wish I had a pantry! I use a awkwardly placed bookcase with a curtain on front. Lol
Glad to see this series back! I'd still eat the taco shells though. That kind of thing doesn't really go bad, perhaps eventually just less crunchy.
Love this series!!!🥰. Motivates me!!
Love the hair!!
Your pantry is very nice you have declutter do a lot and you have a beautiful home
