Ps5 player here, little to no performance issues and just got the platinum the other day, the way I see it the $70 price tag is 100% justified. The musical score alone needs more attention from players and critics! There's definitely a foundation here and if the free drip content is released alongside performance patches, I could see an eventual expanison.
Agree with everything except the aoe spam complaint and partially to the Japanese aesthetic. This game constantly gets compared to fortnite x Monster hunter but no one ever mentions the souls like feel to it. Just like in most souls like games, The relentless throwing of crazy attacks to overwhelm the player is only unbearable if the user doesnt understand iFrames. the amount of iFrames you get in this game is bountiful. I weave thru every attack from Lahar back with a simple roll or dive(its 1.5 sec on spring). you get unlimited iFrames just for grabbing them(it almost feels cheap lol) Lastly, you NEED Karakuri to pin your enemy down, it is not an option like the utility in Monster hunter was, it is Necessity. I prey more content is as difficult as Lahar was, I relish the challenge. Multiplayer is just used to ease that difficulty much like it was in any souls game.
I don't think it's a worthy monhun competitor, not yet at least, they charge more for something less and that's the problem, and looking at the active player count curently it's obvious the game can't be compared to monhun yet.
Yes exactly but I do believe that with either a sequel with more content, balance changes and some housekeeping (i.e. making the armors look more distinct as well as the maps) it can hold up pretty well. I just really hope EA and Koei Tecmo give Omega Force another chance to puruse that goal. Because as you said it is not there YET but it can be. And it is not far from said goal either. Hence why I believe WH as a (hopefully) franchise can rival MH
This is nothing close to monster hunter. The weapons are terrible and the building aspect ruins the fight. All I play is monster hunter and this game ain't it chief. I like the monsters but I can't stand the armors and the weapons are boring and screw the food stupidity
It is a good MonHun like game, but it will never reach the hand of a game that is perfected for 10+ years. Wild Hearts lost 10k avg players in just one month and is currently down to only 3000+ Too bad but this game will suffer the same fate as Toukiden.

Its better than rise worse than world to get straight to the point

No idea what performance problems are out there but I have never had any. My problem is that this game is kinda crap

I appreciate the feedback! I didn't compare it to DS as to me this game lends itself more to being compare to MH and so I did just that.
