Hey Alan thanks for sharing your lovely days cruising, wow that restaurant didn't skimp on portions, looked delicious. Once again thanks for the Vlog and all the best, bye for now. 👍
Hi Stephen. We’re very pleased you enjoyed this episode and thank you yet again for your kindness, it is very much appreciated. Take care and keep em wheels rolling🤠
We have often walked the Foxton Locks with our children - but cruising them hasn't happened yet although it is on the list! It seems you two had a lovely time!
Thanks Alan and Sally, for taking us along on this lovely cruise with changeable weather but it ended beautifully. I hope that you are both doing well. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Well done Sally for having a go at the tiller!! Good to see Reggie too! Not a cheese top roll in sight either Alan, good to see you being wined and dined. A good team work approach to putting up your canopy!! Xx
Hi Lynette. I need to get Sally properly trained on the tiller, as otherwise she’ll have all those heavy lock gates to deal with. We do make a good team, there’s no doubt about that xx
Hi Alan, the weather was certainly changeable wasnt it. Lovely scenery and nice to see my swans!! I dont thing Reggie is keen on other dogs, i had to laugh when i heard him snarling. Lol. The meal looked lovely. xx
Hi Jenny. The weather wasn’t as bad as it may have appeared and improved towards the end of the day. Reggie is quite placid usually, that seemed a bit out of character. I’m glad you can get out on your bike again xx
@MyNarrowboatVenture Thanks, it needs more testing rides though, as I think it might have been on and off again, but at least it got me up the steep hills. I'm planning to ride again on Wednesday. xx
Hi Alan and Sally very enjoyable cruise despite the weather! You make it look effortless brilliant drone work, the meal looked fabulous, have a great week 😊
That was a lovely cruise, not spoilt by the rain at all. Not for me anyway 😂. Foxton locks are great, been there a couple of times but not taken a boat through yet. Glad you both enjoyed the meal and the bit of sunshine you got that evening
Thank you Paul, the rain was hardly noticeable and we had a lovely time there. You’ll find it quite an adventure going through locks, all the best, take care🤠
Hello you two. Stop. Go. Stop. Go. Today we've had quite a number of heavy showers, although the previous few days have been very pleasant. A roast carvery is a splendid way to end the day.
We had some rain here (N.Yorkshire) this morning but it turned out quite nice this afternoon. We certainly enjoyed our Foxton meal at the end of the day.
Another enjoyable cruise and lovely scenery. So nice to see Sally, and Reggie of course, really enjoying cruising. She has definitely taken to this lifestyle like the swans and cygnets take to the canals. The dinner and wine looked fabulous as did the lovely sunset that followed, providing a nice end to the day of cruising. Thanks for taking us along.
Thank you so much, we had a lovely cruise and enjoyed our time at Foxton very much. Sally likes the outdoor life, so we fit together very well. All the best.
Thanks Alan, and Sally for the memory ! Long time since I did the Foxton flight. The closest flight to where I used to live was the Hatton flight, always a nice walk on a Summers evening ! Fascinating about the inclined plane but sad to see it getting overgrown, and rather scorched ! Take care ! Stu xx
Hi Stu, I’m glad this vlog brought back fond memories. It would have been great to see the inclined plane brought back to like but it’s unlikely to happen now. All the best, take care.
It's nice to see that you have found a later life partner in Sally. I sincerely hope that it works out for you both. To a Yorkshire lass from a fellow Tyke... Be gud n' si' thi'.
Evening Alan and Sally, as I was watching the video, it struck me what a really lovely "boaters day" that was. A nice cruise, the obligatory rain, somewhere lovely to moor up and a very nice meal in a canal side pub, followed by some late evening sun. Really a perfect day out on a narrowboat. I hope that you both enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed watching...thank you both for sharing...🍷🍷
Evening Steve, we had a great day thanks, everything came together well for us. Getting the evening sun shots was quite a treat. I was also pleased with the drone footage. All the best 🥂
I missed seeing the ladybird when you mentioned it was on the camera, I thought you were referring to Sally! Cheeky bugger I thought😂. Thanks for the pub video too as we've always wondered what it looked like inside and what food was available.
The ladybird was on the camera but I put it on my hand for a fleeting moment. It’s a very busy pub as you can imagine but I’ve always found it a good place to eat.
Well that was a contrasting vlog. First rain, then sunshine. Next, emptying your cassette, then filling up with a carvery meal at the restaurant. But it was nevertheless entertaining, made more so by the two of you enjoying time together. I guess it made a change from the usual cheese top roll and pot of Yorkshire tea Alan. 😂
We're so pleased you found it entertaining, i like to show different aspects of boating and toilet cassette emptying is one of them! We enjoyed our meal very much and are getting on so well together. All the best.
Are I got a pug the same color as yours mine is a girl Blossom I love pugs they are lovely dogs, funny souls sweet souls. Love the video love the views.
I must say, Alan, your 'Masterful Command' of Women as demonstrated in your instructions to Sally "Pass me a Fender Please......And Another One Please"... wonderful! 😆 I'm sure she's under your spell 😉 Nice seeing you both smiling anyways. P.S> slowly slowly, Sally is coming around to having the Camera around, my wife often complaints when we're out and about at the TIME I spend taking photos or videos , so you're getting away with it lightly 😉
Thanks for your great comment but you’re very much mistaken, I’ve had a lot of grief over the years from various ladies about taking too long on my photography, despite explanations, as to why it seems to take too long, Sally is though much more understanding thankfully 🤠. All the best👍
Thanks for nice video showing around the place with good picture shots in details...so good. One question, what's that dangerous place called Inclined plane? Have a nice day, sir.😊
That's very kind of you to say, thank you so much. It is the Foxton Inclined Plane, you can find out more about it by watching my video no.314, which includes historic photos. All the very best to you.
@@IJ_uk I agree with you, frozen fruit is very enjoyable to eat but I don't have a freezer, I have a small ice box, as part of my fridge, so unfortunately there's little space. I've never seen black grapes in my local co-op and they're not often seen in larger supermarkets, so difficult to come by.
Lovely day for anyone thank you xx
Glad you enjoyed watching 🤠
Hello Alan mick from Hull really enjoyed this episode hope you and Sally are doing well and I will look forward to your next episode 😊😊

Really good to see the inclined plane from the air, you could see how it worked very clearly. Thanks.
I was delighted with the aerial footage, it’s the first time I’ve used the drone at Foxton Locks.
I'm catching up with your videos & I hope a love story.
I so wish you all happiness for you both.
Carry on cruising! Please.
Hi Philip. Thanks for your further comment and best wishes for us, much appreciated😀
Lovely day. Cruise. Meal. Enjoy. Best wishes.
Thank you Trevor, all the best.
Like the way Reggie kept his cool with the dogs on the toe-path
Takes a lot to excite Reggie! Cheers
Alan, lovely video to watch. Always pleased to see your happy adventures
Thank you so much, I’m glad you enjoyed watching.

We very much enjoyed our stop over at Foxton Locks, the pub meal and general environment is very welcoming.
It always brings a smile to my face watching your videos Alan. Love seeing Sally as well.
Thank you Kevin, that’s a lovely comment to make.

Try freezing them. Black grapes freeze better than green ones. Bye for now 👋
Black grapes are difficult to come by and why freeze them, they need to be eaten!
They are nice as a frozen snack. They freeze really well. I get a load of them cheap from the coop when they are reduced 👍 they last ages then
