Thank you, this seems to have fixed my problem! I didn't have the special socket so I cut the wires fed them through a 3/8 drive 12mm socket and turned with vise grips as I'm in the middle of nowhere Utah @10pm. Cleaned, then butt connected the wires back together and presto, I have heat and no smoke out the pipe!

Out of nowhere mine quit blowing heat but I noticed it was smoking so I guess that's my problem. I just don't have that slotted socket or pick.
