Long time no see!!! Sorry to everyone who’s been patiently waiting on this video and for me to upload again. Life sort of got away from me, and even though I’ve been streaming Pokémon Colosseum on my second channel for over a year now, I didn’t want to stream or upload on this channel until I fulfilled my promise and got this review out. My biggest issue was that I couldn’t just force this review out and cut corners. It had to live up to the expectations set by the Black and White review and I hope that it has! Anyways please enjoy this video and know that there will be Gen 6 and ORAS reviews eventually, it’s just obviously going to be a while! Oh and thank you for watching!!!
I am so excited to see that you have plans for sword and Shield, unfortunately I am a bit busier than when sun and moon released, but I will deffinetly be playing shield along with you on your streams as you play through eight, I miss your hype streams for the release and I bet there will be some great new people to see your professional take in the game as you walk through it on the first time. I also must commend you for the incredible writing in all of your in depth reviews, it seems like every word has a purpose, and that just makes the review even better
"These games deserve more." YES. ABSOLUTELY. I'll always forever defend Gen V as Gamefreak's magnum opus; that point in time where they actually *cared* .
I will agree. Gen 5 was Game freak's biggest push of trying anything really big. Though I'll say that Gen 6 was the last game that Game Freak put in serious effort. Hate me all ya want but you know I'm right since gen 7 proves it.
@@amuzarill423 Right... That is as true as a Light type in Pokemon existing in that generation. Oh wait... They don't exist. Generation Six is better than seven since it is the last time REAL effort was in the games.
Yinyanyeow no. Gen 6 was lazy, you could see it in the gym battles, exp system, and dialogue. Lysandre was an over glorified Cyrus who basically had the same goal, destroy the world. Gen 7 had actual character growth, actual challenge, and actual story that made sense with its biggest flaw being its cut scenes taking up too much time. And I don’t know what you mean by light type? You mean fairy type Pokémon? They exist in gen 7 too. Gen 6 had no effort, they didn’t even get a direct follow up like everyone hoped. The game felt empty and derived and had zero to offer in terms of post game. It was literally main game, looker missions, and that’s it. ORAS were mostly copy n paste RSE with a few new features but they took the battle frontier away.
granted, I never really played many of the mainstream pokemon games apart from gen 3, so I wasn't that into pokemon at the time, I admit I was one of those people who wrote off gen 5 at the time. But man I was wrong. Not only does unova have some of the coolest pokemon, like haxorus, hydreigon, bisharp, excadril, volcarona, accelgor, excavalier, golurk, chandelure, scrafty but a storyline that only the best rom hacks can even compete with (though I didn't like how dirty it did alder)
I was one of those people. When I was younger, starting out high school and whatnot, I thought Black and White were some of the worst games. Didn't like anything about them. Not the music, not the pokemon, not the region, not the animated sprites; the only thing I'd give them was probably the story. I did always think B2W2 were pretty good, but they were stained with that painful smear of being linked to the originals, and being in a region and system I hated. I've had a strong change of heart on that. I regret all of the undeserved criticism I levied at these games, because I appreciate them so much these days. I replayed Black and White (technically the first time I played them legitimately) in 2019 and beat them in a weak. I found the experience more than enjoyable. Best games? No. Unfairly criticized by me several years prior? Definitely. I (fully) replayed Black 2 and White 2 for the first time since my very first playthrough of those games and it, along with a reassessment of the originals, has propelled Gen 5 to second place in my mind, only below Gen 4 -- a huge contributing factor being that Gen 5 only visits Unova whereas Gen 4 allows you to visit three different regions, with comparable amounts of content baked into it. I never would've thought that I'd think so highly of these games just a few years before. Maybe my nostalgia is just setting in. Maybe I've become more appreciative of things I couldn't recognize as a ten-year-old (which is what I was when Gen 5 came out). I nonetheless firmly believe that these games are some of the most solid in the series.
BigWaders yeah, I remember it so vividly 😂 Back then in 2010/2011, the people hated Black&White so much. Even I was hugely disappointed of BW after we got Games like Platinum and HeartGold&SoulSilver which were almost perfect. Maybe my expectations for Gen 5 was just too big. Now, 10 years later, I just realized how good Gen 5 was, especially Black2/White2, in comparison to like seriously every Pokémon Game starting from Gen 6 or more specific for the Nintendo 3DS. The Peak of Disappointment started then from 2017 onwards when we got UltraSun&UltraMoon, Let’s Go and now Sword&Shield. At this point I just hope that GameFreak doesn’t screw up the Gen 4 Diamond&Pearl Remakes, which 100% sure are getting released next year 2021, as well as the possible Gen 2 Johto Reboot and the Gen 5 Remakes in the not so distant future. Gen 4 and 5 deserve excellent Remakes, the same way Gen 2 got incredible Remakes.
@@NeoReibert This just shows more that due to the failures of Gen 6-8 so far your expectations have lowered a lot and that you see things in a different light. A lot of long time fans got into an age where they had huge changes in life like going into the first job and the game came directly after BW with quite a few changes but not enough to justify it for most people. Thats why the sale numbers were so badly. If BW2 would have been BW with the entire story of both games, with the changes they did in BW 2 the games would have gotten a really reception.
I loved both games immediately, it felt so fresh, and I loved the Aesthetics of the bwbw2. The sprites looked really good, and they moved, it made the battles feel more alive. The U.I., the sound effects and music were also really well made/designed. They did a really good job of making a sequel based on the same region extremely fresh by redesigning so many aspects and adding so many new areas.
It's so upsetting that we can't get as much love and care with the newer Pokémon games as we did with all of Gen V. Though it makes me happy being reminded of these games once again
subjective quality has nothing to do with "love and care" lol. if there's anything that's remained consistent over the years, it's the fact that this franchise is just as beloved by it's devs as it's ever been, if not more so
@@MiyaoMeow588 Sadly we can't really claim that with all the cut content, excuses, and lies from Gamefreak recently. Fingers crossed they pull through on the next games.
@@machina5 we absolutely can still claim that, but keep harping on about all that nonsense and pretend that there's actually anything of substance behind it instead of admitting it's all empty, meaningless babble that indicates no understanding of the actual situation at hand
I think it's a bit unfair to blame it on a lack of effort on GF part. From what I understand the development time for modern day games are a lot higher than they were when the games were 2-D and they still have the same schedule, so the post game content is cut down. It's also kinda dubious how many people will actually enjoy the post game, as most people don't even finish the games they buy. I can think of a lot of other game franchises that had run into similar problems so I don't think it just has to do with Nintendo. If the anime is anything to go off of, it doesn't look like the people making the games are less passionate than before.
@@MiyaoMeow588 You are possibly the most rude and condescending person I've ever seen in the comments of a UA-cam video - which is seriously saying something.
It's really telling how the main-game portion ends just a little over a 3rd into the video. If this was a gen 6/7/8 review, the video would end there. Even gen 8, the first 60 dollar, main series game on a home console (excluding lets go kinda) has absolutely nothing to offer after you beat the story. Not only is there no substantial content, but the dex is sliced in half. It really does feel like any ambition for the series ended in 2012.
I agree completely on this. I imagine my eventual Gen 6 review will be about half as long as these last two, as the story is minimal and the post game is barren lol
I finished Pokemon Sword this morning and it left me feeling so cheated, there's so little content to it and what little there is isn't even finished. Even the Battle Tower is completely stripped back. I put the game on eBay about an hour ago and I'm going to buy another DS to play BW2 on it again.
the "reviewer" of SwSh played victim on a video on the channel Nintendo Voice Chat. The video got the comments disabled because so many people called her out on her bullshit said in that video.
I will agree that BW2 are definitely the best main series Pokemon games. I gotta say, I still think EoS takes the cake as best Pokemon game overall, but that's just my opinion
In humilau city there is a boy and a girl running around and when you complete the game the girl is gone and the boy talks about living in the moment because there might not be another it's enough to male a grown man cry
@@burningpotato9447 I assumed she dumped him. I highly doubt she died, although it is possible since you can find frillish in Humilau City, which paralyzes its prey before dragging it to the bottom of the ocean. However, I highly doubt this is the case.
I know there’s a guy in Humilau who sends you on a sidequest to ring the Celestial Tower bell to give him and his girlfriend eternal happiness, but then his 4 exes try to stop you. Probably one of the strangest events in Pokémon. The last of the four actually has 6 high level and powerful Steel types and is one of the strongest regular trainers in Pokémon history.
Great video. Just to add, you can go into Hugh's house at the end of the game and the sister will mention that the Leipard is still cold towards her but through time (or defeating the elite 4 multiple times) it will open its heart again and they will be best buds again. It's a small touch so I don't blame you for missing it but i think it wraps up the arc quite neatly.
@@RandomTens It has been! I'm a man in college now, playing Pokemon in my own dorm now. Very serious. Hope everything is well over there and I'm so glad to see you around again!
I will say that I still think Generation 4 was the strongest generation overall. However, that's the emphasis on overall. In my opinion, Black and White 2 are bar none the best, most well crafted main series titles that the company has ever created. Every aspect is probably among the best the franchise has to offer, between the plot, the music, the nostalgic callbacks, and it managed to make Unova extremely fresh, quite the feat when you consider these were the second Unova titles in a row. From a setting, it's amazing, and the gameplay fits the bill as well. One of my absolute favorite things about Gen V were their special encounter mechanics, like rustling grass, dark grass, ripple spots, hidden grottos, and so on. You were able to hunt special Pokemon and it felt even more rewarding finding that rare Pokemon than it ever seems to nowadays. And of course, N's Pokemon were a rather unique inclusion that I wholeheartedly enjoyed as well. Standalone, the games are top notch, but when considered as a sequel, they become so much more. Black and White 2 are the best main series Pokemon has to offer, and I must say, if Explorers of Sky didn't exist, they'd likely be sitting on the throne as the peak of the franchise as a whole. They are that good.
I'd say they are sitting in that throne, as good as eos is. Of course, with completely different gameplay and only the presence of Pokemon tying them together, it's a bit of a silly comparison to make.
I never felt more emotional than with this review. You brought back some of my best memories. I was one of the few that saw the beauty of gen 5, and it's sad to see that others do now after realizing Gamefreak has stopped trying with the new games.
Welcome back, old friend. We miss you. And what better way for your return to finally reviewing Black 2 and White 2. Gen. 5 is my absolute favorite gen. It did alot of things right to me & I'm so happy you gave it an chance. Great review & glad that you are back.
Dude I'm SCREAMING I found your channel like a month ago and LOVED your can 5 and 4 reviews but then I was crushed when I saw you weren't uploading any videos so I stalked for a while and saw you had a active community still so I thought well I will subscribe so at least I don't miss the channel Now seeing this is freaking awesome I love videos about Pokemon but I feel like people get to personal with them don't make exhaustive analysis of them or whatever but you, you really make Pokemon analysis and they are the greatest in UA-cam I haven't seen the video, I'll watch it tomorrow but right now I'm really pumped up Keep it up, take your time Do whatever you want Love you
"I can't explain how over 200+ different species of pokemon arrived in Unova in such a short time." Since Unova is based off of New York in North America I'm going to say Migration XD But so glad you came back it's been forever!!!
Wow, just wow. I actually got a bit emotional at that last part. In all honesty I think this video couldn’t have come in the at the perfect time. Throughout the past few months I kept losing interest in Pokémon as everything around me felt like it was falling apart, and it was like almost all of the good will that the franchise built up disappeared overnight in an instant. As I was so excited when Sword and Shield was revealed, but as the coming months taught me my excitement dwindled and I got exhausted of all of the arguing and debating. However, this video reminded me of the beauty that is Pokémon. I loved being reminded of my personal favorite generation of games and to an even greater extent the reason why I started to get back into gaming and It was all thanks to Pokémon. Personally, while I won’t buy Sword and Shield right away I’m not going to feel bad anymore about this. As even though, I saw the entire PKMN fan base unravel right in front of my eyes, I am and always will be a fan of Pokémon. As once a fan, always a fan. Thank you for the great video Stan. Hope see more from this channel.
Well I don't know if I call it the last great Pokemon game. That would be Sun and Moon. But I can say that it's still my absolute favorite Pokemon gen.
Took a while, but worth the wait for sure. Best way the DS line could go out. There's a reason there's only one true sequel, you simply can't improve upon perfection. Glad to see you're back!
Ernie the Giant Chicken But those 4 Pokémon that the Elite 4 have the first time you fight them are still more of challenge than the 6 Pokémon that the Elite 4 have in newer games. The same thing can be said about the Gym Leaders. The Elite 4 also get 6 Pokémon in Gen 5 when you go to fight them the second time.
Nick I Been crazy busy sort of uprooting my life for my job, so there’s been way too little time for gaming and fun. But I’m hopefully back for a little while until things pick up again!!!
I just like that you can call cheren to tell you how to evolve things and Bianca to see how much Pokémon like you. That’s a nice feature . To bad it will probably never return
I hope Colress gets a Kyuren of his own eventually. They both share similar designs (right down to a blue "cowlick"), they both seek optimization (be it through force or friendship), and they both like it cold.
@@TheNamelessOne888 I'll predict that in some future game Colress comes back with enhanced dna splicers to fuse Kyurem with Reshiram and Zekrom at the same time, recreating the original dragon called complete Kyurem or something similar.
@@S.I.L. It probably controlled chi, both life energy and nature energy, and had the power to make reality into dreams and dreams into reality. That would explain the type gems and the Entralink. Kyurem does have a hidden power that can only emerge if combined with both Reshiram and Zekrom.

Thank You, Finally a content creator who encapsulated my passion and love for Gen 5. This game truly made my Childhood. Thank you for taking the time to give Gen 5 the love it deserved.
Dude I’ve missed you so much! I started watching your content after seeing your black and white review and seeing you finally post a review for the sequel has made my day. I wish you nothing but the best, my dude

oH my GOD I lost it after seeing this in my notifs. I had just rewatched the first bw one like 2 days ago! Thank you so much for all the hard work and effort you put into these videos! I'm so excited to see this one :^D
If you remember in Black and White version, there was that pokémon transfer facility in the post game. I forgot what it was called, but it let you transfer your mons from gen 4 titles like Heart Gold and Soul Silver. One of the people in this facility mention something about how some Pokémon broke out of their facility. This is why you can catch non gen 5 mons in East Unova in Black/White. I think this is also why Black 2/White 2 have more Pokémon. I thought it was a fun story detail to note and that you should know.
@Only Death "gen 6"? did he not work on gen 6? he isn't the sole reason for this franchise ever being good. his "absence" isn't the reason. he has some power but overall? he doesn't like lead development
@Only Death everything you tried to tell me about him I already knew yes I know who Mr Iwata is. atleast not any less then you do. you don;t know what iwata would be like. Gamefreak didn't always just care about money
When this game gets a remake Im going to be so happy. Just seeing my favorite gen being made in beautiful 3d will make me so happy. Also we gonna talk about how Kyurem is literally evil... at least to me.
Honestly, I don't want GF to remake Gen. 5. Don't get me wrong. I absolutely love Gen. 5 to death. But I'm worried that they'll ruined alot of expectations & effort in the remake that the original BW/BW2 games did perfectly well & still holds up perfectly well. Especially since GF is now being obnoxious at these days.
Kyuren was never evil. It was first the original peaceful dragon of Unova before splitting and then it was mind controlled by Team Plasma to do bad shit. It's pokedex description tells you it wants to be captured and used by a "hero" so it can regain it's true form (like Necrozma). Even in the Keldeo movie it was just an obstacle for the Swords of Justice to test thier power
This is my favorite Pokémon game of all time. I remember going to Walmart as a kid and going on the iPads in the apple section to go watch the animated trailers over and over again
the only thing that upset me is that Gamefreak are literally forgetting Unova after such a masterpiece they made. Sure they are getting more mention recently in Pokemon Masters and also brand new Pokemon Sword and Shield but hell Unova deserved better.
Aside from the massive amount of content that Gen 5 contained. They were the only Pokemon games that made me feel guilty once because of Team Plasma. There isn't any villain team as complex and sophisticated as them. Team Galactic came in second. Thus Gen 4 and Gen 5 was the peak of Game Freak.
I always loved the soundtrack, the new plasma theme and Colress’s theme were always favorites. But I also really loved the little pre-battle jingles. The roughneck being my favorite
I can't wait to see your review of X/Y, the games that, imo, started the trend of "let's make things easier and shortter due the new generation of kidz"
x and y are basicly the worst kind of reboot. they had nothing to offer aside from a misused mechanic(megaevolution was meant to make weak pokemon stronger, but was almost exclusively used for already op pokemon in those games). and after that,welp...they tried a little bit,but still went on the "who cares?"-train. I wonder how much the series would be diffrent if they went out of their way to fix their mistake in a pokemon z.
If only we had Pokemon Z, than Gen. 6 could've been alot better. I mean, look at Gen. 4. Can you imagine if we didn't get Platinum & we're stuck on Diamond & Pearl?
Everything is lacking. I really don't understand why anyone is praising that garbage. Ever since X and Y Pokémon has been an exercise in frustration, they can't have the same quality and content of games released 10 years ago, every generation is more barebones and while Gen 7 at least offered a good story, Gen 8 offers nothing in exchange for the culled content, and people keep relentlessly defending it
42Caio x and y's story wasn't even bad though. honestly while not as good as gen 5 gen 6 was the more experimental gen since they were moving to 3d. also as for gen 7...I consider usum to be the some of the series's best
My jaw actually dropped when I saw this. I was on my break at work and nearly flipped. You've inspired me so much in your time away from here! The in-depth looks at these games that mean so much to you made me want to start doing my own content like that, so it's great to see such a big inspiration finally back. I've rewatched your other analyses videos a ton and you still brought the heat all this time later. Thank you for putting in all this time and effort to create some truly amazing content, I can't wait for more whenever that may happen, and just know you've made an impact - you really have. Happy hunting to you as well!!
Hands down the best Pokemon game. HGSS were great but lacked an interesting story and the level balancing was just unfun. The variety of Pokemon in those games were really limiting too. These games were the perfect send off to the DS Pokemon games, one of the best RPG series ever imo.
Tbh, that quote at the VERY end from Junichi Masuda... Is truly a BLESSING as well as a CURSE if you think about it. After seeing this in-depth review, I think me and those watching... Can truly appreciate what that quote meant for these two games and why years later, they still are a cult classic.
Just replayed it for the first time in nearly ten years and I can safely say this is one of my favorite pokemon games. I intend to play it many more times. I get sort of sad thinking about how, at least to me, this was peak pokemon and we likely won't have something that has as much passion put into it. There are two things I desperately wish could be altered about these games however, for all their benefits. The first is Hydreigon's evolution level; 64 is completely unacceptable. Unova in general has too many pokemon that evolve unreasonably late. The second, I'm glad you mentioned in the video because I'd been thinking about it so much as an example of a squandered opportunity, is the fact that despite all of the emphasis on Memory Link they did not allow you to link your Black and White save to your Black 2 and White 2 save and battle your previous self. This one just hurts me because it would've made these games almost perfect with a beautiful resolution. It feels like the player character from the original games gets no resolution; they obviously don't become the champion, canonically, so what gives? Yet they're referenced a thousand times. And hell, it's a sequel! The setup was perfect. Allowing you to face your original team, given that we had the features there that would allow you to do so, would be a killer thing to add to a pokemon game and would've been better than any other lousy superboss. (Sorry, Cynthia, Red, etc., y'all wouldn't even compare.) Of course, you can technically match your old self through the union room, but it's really not the same. This would've been a feature that would've undoubtedly made this game stand out just that much more.
B/W WAS controversial in its first year, but let’s be honest, no-one has ever had a real problem with BW2. Over time, as BW2 has aged incredibly well, more people began to to appreciate B/W. Likewise, sword and shield hasn’t really been controversial since release, it’s been universally hated, and unlike generation 5, which along with generation 4, was the peak of Pokémon, there is merit to disliking gen 8
These were my entry in Gen. 5, both Black 2 & White 2 back in 2012 when Dad went home from abroad. He was an OFW/seaman. Last year of 2018 he died due to age. This Dec. 2019 and now I'm an adult, I'm still playing both from time to time. Many things happened, thanks for the memories Dad.
They actually wanted to impliment something like this, and even had hilda/Hilbert in the game. Buuut for some reason, the whole thing was cut. Probably due to time restraints. The reason I say this is because this was in the last winter month of the DSI's lifespan.
Gen 5 was so underrated back in the day. I'm glad it is finally getting the love it deserves. The music slaps, the story is amazing, and the pokemon are great considering they introduced nearly 160 new ones. I daresay it's one of the best gens, if not *the* best gen.
literally just checked back on your channel a few days ago to see if you updated anything, CANT BELIEVE THAT ITS REAL NOW🤯 love your gen5 series the most!!!

Everything. They really put all the love into these games. It's just so great. The story is so well paced. That pixel art is everything. And- and- THE GYM THEMES. HIDDEN GROTTOES. Glad you addressed that BW2 didn't include a Memory Link battle against the player's BW team, it was the biggest missed opportunity in an otherwise cool game. I had been looking forward to it during my playthrough and was let down when that battle never came.
Just caught this in my recommendations and immediately re-subbed. I didn't realize you were still active with streaming. Loved this and the rest of your work dude, so glad you're back.

I literally just watched the last video for the second time and was wondering about when this was ever gonna come out and check up on youtube today to see this; pleasantly surprised.
Holy hell, this is a beautiful and wonderful video. The Gen 5 games are my favourites in the franchise, and finding all these new/newish videos giving Unova all the praise it DEFINITELY deserves UNOVA GOAT WOOOOOO
I honestly love the story of BW1 most… I think BW2 are less exciting story-wise, since it lacks the conflict, tension and epic feeling of the predecessor. I don't really think unable to use old pokemons is such a big issue, since I think every entry is starting with a new protagonist in a new region, it is just natural to have things completely foreign from generations before. And I don't really think BW's new pokemons design was bad, at least far better than Gen 8 (New fossil monsters are really body horror level). And I really look forward to a future generation with storyline to rival BW1. I still don't understand, why does so many people hate the 'melancholy' story style so much? Can someone explain to me? Thank you.
Holy shit. I just got home from midnight shopping thanks to a closing shift at work. I thought I'd settle down and watch some streamers I enjoy react to the first 30 minutes or so of Sword and Shield before I jumped back in to my game for a few hours. I always start up UA-cam by browsing the recommended section to see what I can add to my watch later list. I saw Arlo's expected mixed impressions vid pop up and was ready to watch that when I saw the title of this video. I thought it was an old video, but when I saw the upload date and clicked, only to be greeted by your intro music, I bolted up from my seat. Like, I am expressive with friends, but if I'm alone most of my reactions are internal. This hasn't happened to me before and I haven't even properly started. I just had to let you know how thankful I am that you've stuck to this project, and have done so without any set deadline. I get why you apologized, but I'm so happy you're doing what's best for you. Your previous work was phenomenal, and I looked in vain for something similar for B2W2 in the interim. Nothing scratches that same itch and I hope you continue doing what works best for you. Okay. Whew. I think I've worked through my emotions lmao. Onwards to the real substance.

To all the people who unfairly bitched about Gen 5:
Be careful what you wish for.
Yup
granted, I never really played many of the mainstream pokemon games apart from gen 3, so I wasn't that into pokemon at the time, I admit I was one of those people who wrote off gen 5 at the time.
Sword and Shield has to be Game Freak's biggest fuck you for not liking Gen V
Honestly, moving pixels satisfy me enough.
The community complained about these games so much at the time, oh how good we used to have it
BigWaders yeah, I remember it so vividly 😂 Back then in 2010/2011, the people hated Black&White so much.

I imagine my eventual Gen 6 review will be about half as long as these last two, as the story is minimal and the post game is barren lol
we'll see...honestly ambition never left them back then
Garbo toxins As much as I enjoyed gen 7 I have to agree, except the dialogue in that game is long enough to extend its entire story over bw.
I finished Pokemon Sword this morning and it left me feeling so cheated, there's so little content to it and what little there is isn't even finished. Even the Battle Tower is completely stripped back. I put the game on eBay about an hour ago and I'm going to buy another DS to play BW2 on it again.

Amen.
I'd say they are sitting in that throne, as good as eos is. Of course, with completely different gameplay and only the presence of Pokemon tying them together, it's a bit of a silly comparison to make.
The only thing that doesn't sit in b2w2's grasp is fluidness and speed, there is nothing that can beat gen 3 in those. Aside from that, b2w2 rules all
Ancient. That's exactly how I put it.

(Sorry, Cynthia, Red, etc., y'all wouldn't even compare.)
Of course, you can technically match your old self through the union room, but it's really not the same. This would've been a feature that would've undoubtedly made this game stand out just that much more.
With all this sword and shield stuff going on... it's nice to see a video that makes me smile because of pokemon

I really like the idea of fighting hilbert and him having your team through the memory system, it wouldve been so cool
They actually wanted to impliment something like this, and even had hilda/Hilbert in the game. Buuut for some reason, the whole thing was cut. Probably due to time restraints. The reason I say this is because this was in the last winter month of the DSI's lifespan.
UA-cam: Random Tens has uploaded
Me: He did it! He's back! and with my favorite pair of pokemon games!
Gen 5 was so underrated back in the day. I'm glad it is finally getting the love it deserves. The music slaps, the story is amazing, and the pokemon are great considering they introduced nearly 160 new ones. I daresay it's one of the best gens, if not *the* best gen.
Couldn't say it better myself.
literally just checked back on your channel a few days ago to see if you updated anything, CANT BELIEVE THAT ITS REAL NOW🤯 love your gen5 series the most!!!
THE LEGEND RETURNS
Young Papa J!!!
"For every Hilbert, there is a Nate."
What about Hilda and Rosa?
So happy to see you are back :D
So glad to see you back, Stan! Seeing a video on my birthday for the first time in such a long time made my day :D
So happy to hear that and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!🥳
@@RandomTens Thank you! :D
Rayquaza:I’m the strongest-
Kyruem:think twice bruh.
Mewtwo: Posers....
Necrozma: *laughs in ultra*
Meanwhile, Arceus in a pocket dimension: Welp, they're all due for another vibe check anyway.
Bro im not gonna lie you going through the story and explaining everythingg that Unova had to offer almost made me tear up. It was so well thought out and i was always driven by a good story and thats what Unova offered for me. Of course i was young when i played it but you going over things that i never really remembered or understood is bringing so much more light as to why I love these games and love the Pokemon as a series. So for that, thank you man. 💙💙
It’s alive!
ITS ALIVE!
I found your channel 2 months ago, and I really liked your content on your youtube channel, I love every pokemon reviews that you've done and it's simply amazing! By far one of my favorite person to watch when it comes to reviewing games.
When I saw that you didnt upload for so long, I was wondering "Where did this guy go?" but I realised you still have an active community and your actually still alive.
So keep doing what your doing best, Alright?
I'll be looking forward for your future videos!
Not gonna lie.
"I make this melody hoping that it send us to the future" hits harder than Hearthbreaker Charles's "Punchline.
Pokéstar Studios, medals, join avenue, all the battle facilities and challenges, the rival, the characters as a whole (somehow, even NPCs feel right, more real than in other games), the PokéDex, all the areas, the music, the colors/colours, the sprites, the dialogues, the story, the cutscenes. Everything. They really put all the love into these games. It's just so great. The story is so well paced. That pixel art is everything. And- and- THE GYM THEMES. HIDDEN GROTTOES. THE LOST ITEM AND THOSE TRADES. *And I still cry every time I get to the part when Hugh tells the palyer about the Purrloin.* It's so real. It feels like a real world.
YEEES
God I missed this channel so much.
It's nice to hear some good news for once from Pokemon nowadays lol
Glad you addressed that BW2 didn't include a Memory Link battle against the player's BW team, it was the biggest missed opportunity in an otherwise cool game. I had been looking forward to it during my playthrough and was let down when that battle never came.
Imagine kyurem fusions on the switch would be so cool
They are in the games, but you have to tranfer them over!
Just caught this in my recommendations and immediately re-subbed. I didn't realize you were still active with streaming. Loved this and the rest of your work dude, so glad you're back.
He’s back!!
I knew subscribing to you after you've been absent for a while would eventually pay off. Great job as always!

Did not expect this but I'm really grateful! I always re-watch your reviews every now and again when I'm playing Pokemon; nice to have another one to watch!
Alright, see you in two years for the Gen 6 review.
Wow! Welcome back! I found out about your channel about 6 months ago, and I've really enjoyed your videos! I've been looking forward to this video! I'm really glad this hit my notifications!
I've been waiting for this one!!!
It’s so weird I’ve literally started binging your review videos this week and noticed you hadn’t uploaded in a year! Glad to see you back
I literally just watched the last video for the second time and was wondering about when this was ever gonna come out and check up on youtube today to see this; pleasantly surprised.
Holy hell, this is a beautiful and wonderful video. The Gen 5 games are my favourites in the franchise, and finding all these new/newish videos giving Unova all the praise it DEFINITELY deserves
UNOVA GOAT WOOOOOO
This video took long to come out than Duke Nukem Forever. Except it was worth the wait
Why can’t I write sentence?
Did you know that in the PWT there are a couple trainers named X and Y?
Also, dude, your eyes are just...beautiful.
