The probably take more effort, but I love the voiceover! Also, your voice makes me calm (and it’s so much more peaceful than headache inducing music) 😂

i love that you're experimenting with different kinds of video styles! the format looks cool, but i miss seeing really fancy creations and i especially miss hearing your voice. i like the designs that require more pastry on top, because that's often what i find to be the best part of a pie.

Minka Langehanenb, I feel the same way. The voice overs were also easier to fallow in my opinion. For example, I would have loved an in depth voiceover on the gingerbread house video.

I prefer both , it's nice to have a mixture of videos depending on if I want to watch something fast and quick or something more complex. I like them both. BUT of course , you should do whichever one is less stressful❤️❤️❤️❤️
Could you do a tasting video like the one you did with Korean food? But this time with Brazilian food?

For these self-explanatory type of videos I think this is a great style. And for the more advanced type of cakes and decorating your voice overs are really clear and lovely to listen to.

I've always associated pie with love and care because of all the effort involved. Also, cuz they remind me of my grandma.

I love that you showed them after they had been baked. So many images don't do that, and so many people don't seem to know the difference.
Thank you for ALL of your videos -- each more engaging than the last. This is a nice change but it is also lovely to hear from you and your family as well. (Thank you for showing the baked versions of the pies. I don't often get to see it.)

I def prefer the normal way of videos. This one just makes you blend in with all the other bakers on UA-cam honestly. You are too amazing to want to blend in!

This is wonderful! I got so many new wonderful examples that I want to try out and experiment with! You might however like to watermark these kinds of videos, as they are the right style for facebook/instagram videos and I'm afraid there's a high risk someone will repost it without linking to you.
This video is a lot of work.. and not to mention 12 pies to make, bake and eat 😁
Ann, I love your videos no matter what they are. I was just talking to my mom about how many years and recipes have passed since your first video.. and believe me.. I was there for most of the ride.
UA-cam was once better than television.. but I think now it's becoming it.

This is so relaxing and pleasing to the eye. My two favorites were probably the I (love) you pie and the flag pie. But all the pies had very nice designs.

After reading your blog post, I can totally understand as to why you've wanted to try this format along with your previous video. These 'Tasty'-style videos are really popular on Instagram and Facebook - they're literally everywhere. You have duplicated that style perfectly - However, it's just not the same... Ann, I've been following your channel since 2011 and you've grown tremendously, your channel is incredible! I started watching when I was 11, now I'm 18 and you're one of the few channels I keep up with. Your style of videos are perfect, they're creative, informative and all-over-real. If something goes wrong during your bakes you tell us and show us how to prevent that same problem happening to us! You listen to our requests and your recipes are the few on this website that actually work and come out amazing (I have been asked for your chunky-cookie recipe hundreds of times now!). Many Tasty recipes are tested by numerous UA-camrs, and often do not come out well. due to the vagueness. Yours (the ones that I've tried) have come out perfectly due to your thorough instructions. Although these videos may do better virally - if you copy the style your videos will just get lost among the Tasty's and 5MinuteCraft posts and all the other UA-camrs that are trying to make it big with these styles (I would love to say more, however, I fear the UA-cam gods wont like it - I have some pretty strong opinions on how this website is now run [definately not the same as how it used to be])...
I really believe that you have a unique selling point with your videos Anne! You've really helped me improve your skills - I'm sorry to hear that your videos are not being showcased as they deserve. I honestly believe that your channel is incredible and that you should continue with what you normally do as your skills are beyond the best! You have a wonderful family who I feel like I've grown up with just by watching your videos. All of these factors make your channel great. And as someone who is currently studying Film Production at University, I understand how frustrating it must be to put all that effort into your videos and your recipes for your audience and them not do as well as they should (trust me, I understand you completely). My lecturer said something to me which I will share if you're still reading - 'If you're looking to find success, look where most people don't'. (I think it means be different from the others - but then again it's 3am here in the UK and my eyes are droopy haha). Regardless, your entire audience loves you and we will support whatever you decide to do! I've been around for 7 years and I don't see myself going anywhere soon!

Knowing the reasons why you tried this style and what you were trying, it's now even more obvious how much more love and effort you poured into these videos comapred to the ones the style is based off. I'm trying to say that you are better at doing what Tasty and the other channels of similar kind are doing.

I remember awhile back Anne made a video about how a lot of these fancy pie crust videos never show you the finished, baked product. I was really sad not to see a lot of these baked. I also prefer her usual video format so I'm glad this isn't a frequent style for her.

Clever! I sometimes bake gluten-free crusts, for friends who are. They come out well, using Bob's Red Mill 1-to-1 GF AP flour with my standard recipes, but even with a bit of Xanthan gum tend to be too brittle for a double crust, or even a lattice. I was delighted to see so many lovely options that don't rely on having flexible dough, but still result in plenty of top crust. Thanks for sharing your creations, Ann!

A little while ago I wondered if you would maybe switch to this, and that maybe it would be better. But watching this, I realize the reason I LOVE your channel... you’re always so sweet and kind, funny, pay attention to detail and give tips. And the MAIN reason I love your channel is how it’s different. It’s creative. Anyone can make a pie recipe video... but NO ONE can make it like you do!
Maybe you could make vids like this for Facebook or something like that, but keep the normal stuff for yt? Either way, I still love your channel!

One year as I was making my Thanksgiving pumpkin pie (single crust), I place the pastry in the pie pan and stuck it in the freezer while I made the filling. I always cut some autumn-leaf shapes out of the leftover dough, and place them on the pie after it's baked. But somehow that one time, the pastry *shrank* in the freezer, and it didn't come far enough up the sides for me to make my usual finger-crimped edge to keep the filling from spilling over. I used water to glue the autumn leaves around the edge to make it high enough, and it turned out so well, and looked so festive, that I've done the same thing again on purpose :-)
