About 2 years ago, I was at a car crash. A dad we think tried to commit suicide by plowing his car into a tree.
I was carrying tools down to the car when I saw 2 young kids running down the road from his house.
I threw my tools down and caught the kids down on a knee, they were balling and screaming because the recognised the car. The dad was already out and getting the full works by ambos in the back of their van.
After talking to the kids for a little bit trying to calm them, I took them out into the back of our truck. We carry “Rescue Bears”, just little teddies for situations involving kids. I sat in the back playing with them trying so hard to not let them look out the front window, because all I could see was an ambulance officer ontop of their dad reviving him.
Eventually their grandmother came and collected the kids. I asked what they named their teddies, turns out they read the names off the back of mine and a colleagues helmets, and named them each that.
One of my most vivid memories from being a Fire Fighter. 3.5Years and no sight of stopping✊🏻
Yes, the dad did live, thankfully.

Bravo sir. Bravo
Bless you guys your the real heroes in this crazy war world
Respect sir. Much respect
omg i am glad he is alive
@Ace me too - and I'm a guy!
I’m sure Boden thought at first she was gonna say “ you are my Daddy”, when she asked if he remembered her. 😂😂
Well from a point of view he is as if he hadn't found her she might have frozen to death on the doorstep. :) And yes I am Obi-Waning it here now. ;)
😭😭
im not entireley certain he isnt her father something seemed strange about how he reacted at the end as if he was keeping a secret and thought it best he say nothing
I love the way his face breaks from that calm exterior where he's just hoping to get it over with and back to work to the pure joy and recognition in knowing that she grew up with an amazing family. Amazing acting.

The pure emotion on his face when he realized.

LEAVING A BABY ON THE DOOR AT A HOSPITAL POLICE STATION OR FIRE STATION THE BABY WOULD BE FOUND RATHER THAN IF A BABY WAS FOUND IN ALLEY
i agree
It is called a safe haven law, you can drop off a baby, no questions asked.
@@3kylajsmith or a church...
@Sanne Mulder that too...but I suspect it's a heart wrenching experience because of the time it takes.
@@firstname9954 Although I'm Christian, I have to partially agree with you. Some churches are... Well, anyway, I'd do my research first. Firehouses, on the other hand, are under the Safe Haven Law in the United States, so the dropper is protected from criminal charges.
The only thing this moment needed after the tears was wallace hugging charlotte
1:57 that is how a soul gets silently broken by sudden rush of emotion
I don't know about broken... I'd argue that it was fixed.
It's a...a...donut with a candle
Honestly didn't know what I expected
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well they are fire department not a bakery after all.
But that still is wholesome and sweet

Donut cakes are THE BEST
My Father spent half his life in the fire brigade. Studied and sacrificed for us, and became Chief Training Officer.
There were nights he came home and never left our beds. There were times he never came home, and then there’s the times he never said anything at all.
Such raw emotions watching this actor, reminded me of my father and how a man holds himself.. great episode :)
My Dad too, just never realised what he did , never spoke of it, he was just my amazing hero , my Dad ❤❤
WHOEVER IS CUTTING THE ONIONS, STOP JUST STOP!

You have to applaud the writers and the actors, they really know how to tug at your heart strings every single time.

Chief hold back those tears so tightly. Love it❤
A hero can be anyone. Even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy's shoulders to let him know that the world hadn't ended.
How he express his graditute, his fealling his emotion was amazing you can feel the warmth of his happiness in side through his eyes
Chicago's Bravest, the finest firehouse in all of Chicago.... FIREHOUSE 51 known for their dedication, bravery, answering the call of duty on so many occasions performing to best of their ability. Their way.

Who leaves a baby on the door step of a the firehouse
barry nightingale because some parents sometimes make bad chices remember the episodes where the parents let the kid drive because they were too drunk
It's so that there is a safe place to leave your baby. Otherwise people would leave them in unsafe places.
fire house is manned 24/7 like a hospital or police station one of the safest places
idk tbh idiots
Its actually because by law if a mother abandons a child some where safe (firehouse,HOSPITAL,police station)they can't be arrested for negligence of a child
Why is Dawson sad ? I can only watch clips on UA-cam so I don’t watch them in order and I miss things
then get neflix brother

1:10 The way Chief turn back real quick, I heard
Boden : Are you wasting my time?
Hermann : Easy...it worth it
Alright, wherever these ninjas came from they can take their sneaky asses and their onions back there.
This is one of those time when the act of a great deed can come back into your life and pick you right up when you need it the most.
