A real test of a parent is not how bad you want a child but how far you are willing to go for that child. In that moment, at gunpoint by a psycho, Dawson was willing to die for a baby that wasn’t even hers in that moment Dawson was a true parent.
If it weren't for the gun, and modern technology like the ultrasound, this episode would be like "The Judgement of Solomon"!
Imagine Dawson and that lady tugging at that baby, until Chief Boden says "Bring out the Sawzall! (Reciprocating Saw) We're cutting this baby in half!"
Then we'll see who's the real mother figure!
Truth. Your entire mentality changes when you have a baby. When my twins were born, I knew instantly that everything I do in life going forward is no longer for me, or anyone else but them. You will go through whatever it takes to make sure they're safe, fed and happy. Mine are 17 months old now, and I can't even count how many meals I've skipped, hours of sleep I've lost, etc. None of that mattered when they needed me.

Gabby definitely has a mother's spirit and she goes into Mama Bear mood to protect that little princess. I wish the parents thanked Gaby for protecting their daughter. It'll be even sweeter if they made Gaby a Godmother or honorary Auntie.

I even heard parents kidnap their own child from the NICU!
They had to close the hospital until the baby was found, and when they found the baby, that baby was already home with the parents and family!
I guess some people are too impatient to wait until the doctors and nurses were done doing their job.
When you live near the hospital, you'll heard many stories like this one.

1. Satisfy urges by abducting a baby.
2. Drop off child at safe haven
3. Wait some time, then pretend to be the child's mother to haven staff
4. Convince/Manipulate haven staff into thinking that she is the true mother, legitimizing the abduction.
5. Profit!
However, since "Tony" is crazy, she neglected to consider a few possibilities:
That the baby would not be completely healthy and the signs of imperfect health.
That haven staff would have a clue on basic infant physiology and detect the imperfect health.
That haven staff would keep their wits and require actual proof.
That haven staff would be able to recognize falsified documentation.

Don't know if that girl kidnapped the baby or who, and how did some body kidnap a baby and then drop it off at a fire station, and then some body showed up to grab it like did she change your mind in handing the baby over that she kidnapped and wanting it back, I don't get it.
Think she stole the baby, then tried the create a lie saying her (fake boyfriend) had dropped the child at the station and she was trying to get her back
The girl did abduct the baby. What we saw in this clip was the scheme she concocted to convince the fire department that was her baby to help shake off suspicion.
It wasn't a well thought out scheme.

Bad idea. Psycho proved she had no regard for the child the moment she pulled out the gun. That also proved that she only cared about having a baby, not the welfare of that particular individual.
