    I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Your you tube videos are terrific, and I would instruct any people contemplating moving to the Villages to watch these two ladies. Sooo Informative.

    Great video, as always! Is your lap siding more work to maintain than the stucco option? Have you seen issues develop with the lap siding as the home ages and weather exposure increases with time? Finally, are there concerns with termites and similar wood burrowing pests with the wood frame construction associated to the lap siding. Thanks and keep up the great work!

      Hi Kent! We have our siding power washed twice a year to keep the mold from growing. I know someone who has a block home and they haven’t had to do that yet. That said, there are some homes I have seen (block) with mold on them. It may have to do with the bushes or trees or shrubs around. Many people here do get termite treatments with the sided homes to protect against the little guys. Thanks for the kind words and for watching!

    If you live by a gold course, it's better if you're an early riser. I would imagine the grounds crew has to get started pretty early to be ready for the first tee time. Estate sales are very common in The Villages.

    I am not a garage sale shopper. The last time I bought something at a garage sale was in 1982 when I was furnishing my first apartment. Every year since 2009, except in 2020 & 2021 because of COVID, my church has a rummage sale in August. I have manned the cashier's table for 1 or 2 days at this rummage sale many times. By the end of Day 2, I don't want to see or deal with anyone's "great finds". 😂 But maybe I will fall in love with garage sale shopping if I move to The Villages....but probably not. 😊

    After my LSV this July, I asked my villages agent when lots would open up for sale around Eastport. Initially he said he didn't know, but a few weeks later he sent an email and said April 2024.
    I assume as you pointed out, all things are subject to change.

    I love you two ladies! I’ve learned so much about the Villages since listening to you. I’m planning to move to the Villages in late August 2024, and am an avid Pickleball player. Can you give an overview of the neighborhoods? I there a neighborhood that is central? Thanks in advance! You two are the best!

      Thanks so much for the kind words! At this point, I think we are headed to close to 100 villages! Honestly, most of the neighborhoods are same same. You will want to consider things important to you. Where are your activities? Do you like to go to the squares? New construction? Existing and more mature? We have villas and single family homes. An example would be that I play tennis (Debbie) and I play on the clay, so I like to be north, near Glenview and Lopez. We also like to golf the championship courses. In the southern area (at present) they only have one championship course. The new area Eastport is supposed to be quite a complex in itself and lots of people are saying they want to be near all of the action! It truly depends on what is important to you and your realtor 🤞🏼 should be a good guide for you. At this point the most central place in TV would be around 466A….but it won’t be long until that is north 😂. They keep buying land. We may make it to Miami one day! Thank you for watching!

    We have a dehumidifier to keep musty smell and dampness out of out home. you can set the percentage of humidity, and it works very well and reduces the workload for the air conditioning significantly.

    I have a question about the fitness centers in the rec centers. I am having a difficult time finding a video or a picture of any of them. Also, do you know if there is a fitness center in the rec centers in the new southern area? We are taking a lifestyle visit in November and I assume that's the area we will be assigned to even though I am not really interested in that area. We are renting a car though so it should be easy to get to a rec center with fitness areas. For the LS visit I am probably going to send hubby to Genesis in Brownwood, but interested in the other areas as we will be renting in Fernandina in Jan-Feb and read that the rec center Rohan is the nearest to that area. Thank you!!

    • @thevillages365
      @thevillages365  11 місяців тому +1

      Hi Pamela! There actually just under 100 rec centers here. I am going to attach a couple of links down below on some the centers we have done videos on. There are outdoor fitness centers at almost all of the rec centers. There are 7 indoor centers that you can join by the day, week, month or year. Those are at Laurel, colony, ezell, mulberry, seabreeze and fenney and rohan! Thanks for the questions and enjoy your visit! Ill put some links below!

    What a surprise, you shared my question from way back when about the generator. The reason I ask, is because I work remotely for a healthcare system and might be buying a home there and it's imperative that I am prepared in case of power outages. Great videos, keep it up and congrats on hitting 5k subscribers.

      @@weareallamericans7358 Uninterruptible power supply works seemlessly, a generator you have to pull it out of the garage, check the gas and oil, start it up, plug it into your system, and the power could be on by then.
