I was so excited when they did this song/video! My husband & I had the original as our first dance together & had it played at our wedding in 2004. In my opinion this is as good as the original! It brings tears to my eyes even to this day ❤
As always the guys did a fabulous version of this song. I wouldn't expect anything different from them. They are amazing! Rob has such a sweet voice. The ending sounded like a nod to "Kiss From A Rose" by Seal. Also like the cute video that goes along with it. A lot of people have covered this song. It was first done by "Lonestar" in 1999. Bonnie Tyler did a cover in 2003 & Boyz II Men in 2009.
This is definitely an upgrade for sure. And i love Lonestar's version toofor different reasons. The kids in the video really made it cute. It reminds me of a Junior High school dance, except when i was in school no guys ever went out and danced by themselves. It was always the girls because we really wanted to dance and we did need a guy to do it. Truly enjoyed watching your reactions to this song.
I hadn't heard this song before the Home Free version, but they did such a good job with it. They filmed their part of the video on stage in the afternoon before a show - you can see the Dive Bar Saints bar behind them.
This is a favorite that they've done. I have to not watch the video...distracting. This production and their singing stands out among their covers for me. Rob and Austin both slayed their vocals.

The musical arrangement and mix is phenomenal but just a shout out to whoever comes up with the ideas and storylines of these videos.
