I’m 61 years old and am telling you that this is the best rendition of all time. Don’t play with Home Free. If they do a cover of your song, it’s a WRAP!
I believe i was 13 when Percy Sledge put out this song and it was playing everywhere all the time. My sisters bought 45's for a dime at Woolworths and we wore them out on mamas record player.
I've heard them before but not this song. It was freaking amazing! I thought I was dead inside but his voice gave my Goosebumps Goosebumps. Another good one that they sing is "How Great Thou Art."
You have no idea the rabbit hole you have just fell into. They are an amazing acapella group. They won season four of The Sing Off. 100% Home Fry right here. They have soooooooo many amazing songs both covers and originals. Enjoy the ride!!
You do not appreciate the gifted talents of Home Free until you realize they are an acapella group. No musical instruments or soundtracks. Everything you hear is coming from their voices. Amazing!!
Home free has tons of material. All genres. They have never disappointed me and lately it seems like they’re dropping something new every week. “Man of constant sorrow” is a must. Also “Can’t stop the feeling”, “End of the road”, “Love Train”, “Butts remix”, “Country fried pop”, “Folsom prison blues”.
I haven’t read all the comments and I’m sure it’s already been said BUT welcome to the Home Fre rabbit hole! They’re booked as a country a cappella group BUT tear up any genre they try! Haven’t heard a bad one yet. Try the Butts Remix to see their humorous side.
That song when a man loves a woman ! It now has a new meaning for me ! Wow what a group of guys theharmony the high notes the low tones and bass and everything in the middle incredible voices the beat boxing just everything! AWESOME!!!
Welcome to the rabbit hole of Home Free! Surprise!! Haha New subscriber here, Home Fry to my soul. A quick introduction of the guys. High tenor, the amazing soulful angel voice Austin Brown you just heard, beatboxer Adam Rupp, a freak of nature that willl literally blow your mind (also the only remaining founding member, they've been around for more than 20 years), bass singer, Tim Foust, with a 5+ octave range that allows to sing high up in tenor land too. barritone-bass Adam Chance (goes by Chance to not get confused with beatboxer Adam), the newest member who took over from Chris Rupp (Adam's brother and founder of the group) as of June 2016, has a smooth, velvety whisky voice and a 4+ octave range and lastly, but certainly not the least, because these guys have no least, lead tenor Rob Lundquist, the cuddly teddybear with the voice so full of soul and love that it warms your heart up every time you hear him sing. As far as more songs and videos to react to there are too many, they have well over 100 videos on their channel, so I'll list one for showing casing each of the guys. For Rob I hgihly recommend "End of the Road", Boys2Men cover, for Chance I love "Cover Me Up" (stay to the end for a little surprise), For Tim "Everybody Walking This Land" and for Adam my personal favourite is "Folsom Prison Blues". For originals written, or co-written, by members of the band I love Austin's Love Me Like That or Warmest Winter and Tim's Champagne Taste (on a beer budget) - an oldie but goody and Snow Globe. For originals written by others I recommend Dive Bar Saints. Austin also has his own solo channel where he posts both covers and originals with Unchained Melody being close to 3 million views in just a month. Have fun, enjoy and keep reacting to them. The Home Fries love Home Free reactors! :D Oh, and thank you for a fantastic reaction!!
Carina, you should do PR for Home Free. This was a great introduction to the group. Fantastic job. The only thing I would disagree with you on is your recommendation highlighting Tim's vocals. "Everybody Walking This Land" is a great song, but for my tastes I'd have picked "In The Blood". That song hit me in a unique way and I loved Tim's unaccompanied solo in the beginning - clear, resonant and pitch perfect. But hey, that's just me. Again, I thought your intro was absolutely great.
Hi Carina! You are right on the money with your comment. I would however like to make a couple of amendments if I may. Another good one for Rob that seems to get overlooked lately is "Blue Ain't Your Color" (also, it's one of the few chances to see the boys have a choreographed song). And I think you weren't completely clear (at least not the way I read it, and I do read things weird sometimes) that "Champagne Taste On A Beer Budget" not only was an oldie but goodie, but a Tim Foust original as well as "Snow Globe". And they did have co-writers. Sorry to be so picky, but it was my sole job for many years and I still have a difficult time shaking it out of me. Grin
Another that is a must is their cover of Mayday. it shows Tim's versatility, the capabilities of Chance & will literally mess with your mind, lol! One more...How Great Thou Art.
Percy Sledge would be proud. Mr Austin Brown is one of the best voices on the internet. Them backups ain't too bad either. Tim Foust with that Bass, Adam Rupp beatboxer. Rob Lundquist low tenor, Adam Chance baritone.
Home Free is an American a cappella group of five vocalists, Austin Brown, Rob Lundquist, Adam Rupp, Tim Foust, and Adam Chance. Starting as a show group, they toured around 200 shows a year across the United States. The group competed in and won the fourth season of The Sing-Off on NBC in 2013.
They actually have done a lot of INTERNATIONAL touring as well. Their superb rendition of “How Great Thou Art” has a fabulous video shot in the Austrian Alps!
Their collective sounds are magical, you all need to expand into their music. MAN OF CONSTANT SORROW WILL BLOW YOU AWAY AND THEIR INDIVIDUAL TALENTS ARE EASY TO SEE
sometimes the talent just blows you away. Acappella no instruments and yet, the human voice is the best instrument ... these boys bring it. I love Voiceplay alot too, but these guys they've got a lot of .. um flexibility with songs. They get to the heart of the emotion of the music... doesn't matter if its soul, bee bop, pop, r&b, or jazz they can do it ALL...
They are unspeakably amazing. Austin Brown is the lead vocal on this song and is originally from my home state of Georgia. Perhaps the greatest cover yet. Great video. Blessings.
I just love it when Shawn says "Well damn!" That is how I know he is lost for words. I LOVE how you guys get the music and react accordingly. Btw, you two are the J-Zee and Beyonce of the music video reaction world. Of course, Shawn is so much more handsome than the other and Mel is gorgeous like Beyonce! Love you guys!
Singer is Austin Brown, the baseman is Tim Faust and the beatbox is Adam Rupp. They won a TV show a few yrs ago called the Sing Off. Check out man of constant sorrow.
The reason I am a Home Fry is because they are all so talented and I love their original music but also they do covers of Iconic music that the world needs to remember and they don't try to outdo the original artists I feel their versions are homages to the originals.
Welcome to the Home Fry Nation. You are officially Home Fries. They are a country a Capella group. But they can sing it all. NSYNC, Boys to Men, Alabama, Kenny Rogers, Justin Timberlake. You name it, they do it up right!! Glad you enjoyed.
Loved how you both enjoyed Home Free! Welcome to the Home Fries family! You can pretty much choose any video they have and NOT go wrong! Your choice...We will listen!
It looks as though you both have become home fries. That’s what people are called that are fans of Home Free. They do some great covers they do a great cover of boys to men also Johnny Cash.
Of course, End of the Road, then Blue Aint your color, man of constant sorrow, funnier side, the butts remix, country fried pop medly and all, about that bass...but my absolute favorite are Home Free s God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood and the Air Force Band and, even though Christmas is over, you must listen to Do you Hear what I hear.......long time sub, love the reactions to everything...
Been a Home Fry forever...have followed them since I saw them on the final in the sing off..amazing amazing groups of amazing talent!!1 enjoy watching their vids!!!
Home Free is a phenomenal group. The bass, Tim Foust, has (literally) blown speakers at their concerts. "Same Auld Lang Syne," "Go Rest High on that Mountain" and "How Great Thou Art" show off serious harmonies. I've seen them live and they are as spot-on in concert as they are in the studio versions. No autotune, either. Oh! When you said, "Well dayum!" at the end of the song, I spewed Diet Mtn Dew all over my desk -- you owe me a new keyboard! Good job with the reaction!
Welcome to Home Free! They are wonderful. They were on the NBC show the Sing Off and won in 2013 the year after Pentatonix won. They sing a lot of covers but also write a lot of their own stuff. They have no lead singers and trade off who will sing on each song. This song was sung by Austin Brown the high tenor. Beard and glasses is Rob Lundquist, tenor. Chance is the bass/baritone and was wearing a hat in this song. Adam Rupp, is the beatboxer, and is tremendous. Tim Foust, is the bass, and has a 5 octave range so he can sing high and super low. He usually has long hair but this summer he cut his hair and has a gray streak. Please look into more of their songs. You won’t be disappointed. Try Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, End of the Road to start. Enjoy! Great reaction!
You two have just fallen into a Deep Rabbit Hole! They have Sooooo many Great covers I couldn't begin to try and name them all. One of my favorites is "American Pie" featuring Don Mclean the original writer/performer, also "Children Go Where I Send Thee" featuring Kenny Rogers. You'll love this hole you've just fallen into. Love your reactions, Thanks. 🤔🤗😎😎
Awesome song, awesome performance, but - I got to see Percy do it live in a small venue (Peabody's Warehouse) in Virginia Beach back in the day. I expected it not to sound like the record. I was wrong. The brass was killer and Percy wailed. I remember "Out Of Left Field" was spot on also. Saw Peaches & Herb there also. I wish I had gone there more often and to "The Dome" (Alan B. Shepherd Civic Center), where I saw Iron Butterfly. The Seeds opened.
They won the second season of the Sing Off. A acopela music contest. PTX won the first. There are a lot of great covers from them Man of constant sorrow Ring of fire the first one I named will blow your mind the the sound's of instruments they produce is amazing. Great Reaction you Two Stay Safe and cant wait for the next one ❤️
First time listening to them, huh? You guys got your Home Free baptism by 🔥! These guys are the best! I think you immediately became Home Fries (part of the devoted fans). Lead singer on this gem is Austin Brown. So, so many songs across all genres! Welcome to a deep, deep rabbit hole - buckle up and enjoy the ride! Fabulous reaction!!
They srrm to have the gift of finding great music across every genre of music and some how giving it their own special touch. Their voices each bring a different texture, but somehow they blend those texture into a smooth as silk harmony which has a richness that never fails to wrap your soul in bliss and bring a smile to your face.
Perfection. Austin laid all down on the stage. Home Free is arguably the best A Capella groups today. You probably have all the info you need about these guys in your comments below. I'll add a couple of my own insights --- These guys are all great musicians, singers, song writers and comics (just you wait and see!) Also as a sidenote, they are all extremely tall. When fans post photos they had taken with the guys, I say they have entered the land of the A Capella Giants. (in more ways than one). Enjoy your journey. These guys never disappoint.
All of the guys are aroung 6'2" tall and some of thenicest and most humble guys you'll ever find. Austin Brown was the lead singer on this song but they switch it up all the time and have most of them singing lead at some time. Tim Foust is the bass singer with a 5 octave range (high tenir to deep bass) long dark hair lter it'scut short with a natural silver streak in front, Austin Brown the high tenor with lomg ginger hair, Rob Lundquist is the tenor teddy bear with full beard and glasses with a very smooth voice, Adam chance AKA Chance is their newest member. Chance sings baritone but can sing tenor to bass when needed. You should check out their live video of 'Guilty Pleasures. They are hilarious. Have fun becoming a Home Fry aka home free ran.
Thanks for reacting! Austin Brown's Unchained Melody will get you too! It has gained almost 3 million views in a month. He is the one singing the lead in When a Man Loves a Woman. His girl, Amberly, was in the room when he was singing When a Man Loves a Woman. ❤ Their Thinking Out Loud/ Let's Get it On is great too!
For more vocal gymnastics try their take on Love train or End of the road for sheer harmonic bliss How Great Thou art, or Helplessly hoping. Last week they released a cover of American Pie with Don McLean.
New sub to hear more Home Free!! You can't go wrong with any of their songs/videos! Everyone of their songs have amazing harmonies! End of the Road is highly recommended. I love Love Train and Meet in the Middle!!
They covered "man of constant sorrow" which shows off a lot of them individually, "end of the road" "ring of fire" "folsom prison blues" when you get the hang of the guys and what they do, then do cam "mayday" cover.
Best reaction EVER !!!!!
I know! They’re great.
Omgosh
Hell yeah❤️
I’m 61 years old and am telling you that this is the best rendition of all time. Don’t play with Home Free. If they do a cover of your song, it’s a WRAP!
I have to say it,, better than the original and that was superb.
Original is better imo @47antony
110%
I APPLAUD you --for NOT INTERRUPTING the music--and holding your comments until the END--THANK YOU !! And I'm glad you guys enjoyed it !!
They gave so much respect to Percy. They did his song so much justice.
Percy looking down and sayin' "Hush y'all! Just listen to my boy SANG!"
You have no idea the rabbit hole you have just fell into. They are an amazing acapella group. They won season four of The Sing Off. 100% Home Fry right here. They have soooooooo many amazing songs both covers and originals. Enjoy the ride!!
I agree...this one is in my top 3 of their songs!!! ❤❤❤❤
I saw them in concert for the first time last year and holy smokes, everyone needs to see them live!! It's life changing!
I absolutely love these guys. I went down their rabbit hole a year ago. They are SOOOOO talented. No gimmicks just talent.
No instruments...this never fails to amaze me!
WOW WOW WOW!
Percy Sledge is holding his head higher than the heavens and giving God "high fives"! Best rendition ever recorded! Peace!!!!!
Oh this just melts my heart ❤
You do not appreciate the gifted talents of Home Free until you realize they are an acapella group. No musical instruments or soundtracks. Everything you hear is coming from their voices.
Amazing!!
Adam Chance is playing the guitar on the cover of Bruce Springsteen's Born in the usa

Love the reactions love the song..!!💛🎤
Percy Sledge is 1 of my all time favs. He hit #1 in 1966 with this song. The B side was Cover Me. That song is amazing.
Just an unbelievable group, no music!! Fabulous beatboxing, adore Homefree. xx
Austin Brown is soooo talented. His voice is solid and clear. Outstanding!
You have to do their covers of "ring of fire" and "man of constant sorrow". The group is amazing.
Mayday
@@sharonbrady-methvin9722 You need to save Mayday for after you have experienced more of the group.
Amen!
Listen them and the Oak Ridge Boys singing Elvira

His facial expressions had me laughting the whole time .

Amazing performance.
Wow. I've always liked this song Home Free did it beautifully
When I watch these guys I fall short of words to describe how great they are. God-given talent!
sometimes the talent just blows you away. Acappella no instruments and yet, the human voice is the best instrument ... these boys bring it. Nice! & the original is even better!!!!
They sing every song with their heart in it. Man of Constant Sorrow and How Great Thou Art.

Welcome to being a Home Fry!! These men... no instruments but their voices and bodies... they rock my world.
These guys are amazing! They make all the musical instrument sound themselves too. One or two of the guys make all of them with their mouths/voices.
You should hear the original by Percy Sledge. Came out in the sixties and he has a voice like no other.
I'm here for it, love the friends sweat shirt
Hey Fam, thank you so much for watching
Welcome to the Home Fry Nation. You are officially Home Fries. They are a country a Capella group. But they can sing it all. NSYNC, Boys to Men, Alabama, Kenny Rogers, Justin Timberlake. You name it, they do it up right!! Glad you enjoyed.
Yes this all acapella including the beat boxing
They are fabulous!!! The lead singer is Austin Brown and his voice is unbelievable!!!
This was completely unexpected and didn't let off the gas from the first note. Dude has some pipes.

I think it was a later season of the sing off in 2014. They are one of the best and most musically versatile
group's around.

I wish I could give another like for each time I have come back to watch this. Such a great reaction.
Home Free "End of the Road" cover...unbelievable!
End of the road! Awesome cover!
You just listed my most favorite.... "Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On"... all in a one-take video... and made me fall in love with each of them!!
Love your reaction! These guys are amazing! Found them 3 years ago and that was all she wrote!
For more vocal gymnastics try their take on Love train or End of the road for sheer harmonic bliss How Great Thou art, or Helplessly hoping. Last week they released a cover of American Pie with Don McLean.
American Pie w/ Don McLean is the best one yet until this one came out a week or two later. Love both of these.
The thought that is all vocal and acapella music blows the Mind away.
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!
Hey big Paul, thank you so much for watching, we're going to check your recommendations out!!
Hold off on Mayday until you are able to name the guys and know their ranges.
@@joannajohnson8210 Don't do May Day until you do Man of Constant Sorry. You will see Tim Foust incredible range
Perfect suggestion for them on the songs to listen to ending with Mayday which is one of my personal favorites!!
