Thanks for the tutorial, I used this in my own settlement. I remade the Kill Room from CoD 4 like Cedzilla but added a in-game timing system. Your idea helped me to get a system to reset it before going again! :D
I really like these little ''concepts'' on your channel. Could you do more creations with the logic gates, besides that I'm truly amazed by your knowledge.
How to connect a wire between 2 objects in fallout 4. 1. place green dot on object A, then press the action button. 2 place green dot on object B, then press the action button. Great videos tho keep it up!
hey man, I love your vids, they helped me alot throughout my fallout playthrough. please come back to making vids. if I had any advice to give you, it would be to just put more enthusiasm in to your voice. You have subscribers who want you back, so please do come back!
with this info, do you think it's possible to make a 12/24 hour clock with an interval switch on 1 sec on 1 sec off. 6 counters. in the order: 1 sec :9 10 sec : 5 1 min : 9 10 min : 5 only the hours would be a bit for more complicated since the single hour it has to be 9 first and after it hits 10 it should be 1(for 12 hour clock) and for a 24 hour it should be 3 after hitting 20. do you think you could build it without having to switch it in the terminal? a stopwatch would be easier though, but with a limit on the time.
I know this comment is super old but I just spent a couple hours and managed to get a working 12 hour clock using logic gates, delay switches, and an interval switch that pulses 8 times to reset the 12 to 00
You could use an interval switch (pulse thing) but you still need your original switch. It will 'pulse' as long as it is receiving power. You could wire the switch to the interval switch and wire the interval switch to the counter, but when the counter resets you need to turn the power off. Also you would want to reset the on and off times with a terminal. I think the default setting are about 4 seconds on and 4 seconds off. So you would reset to 1 second on (that's all you need) but maybe 2 seconds off to allow time to shut off the power before it send another pulse. Good idea though, if Bethesda would have put an off button on it.
I think that wouldn't work, because when you sent the second pulse of electricity, the first counter would reset, which would cause it to also send out a pulse, which would cause the second counter to receive two pulses, which would cause it to reset and then increment to one. Same problem with the third counter. I could be wrong though, since I haven't tried it in-game yet. Did you ever try it? If so, how did it work?
Factory update soon? Tried commenting this on the factory video, but i'm pretty sure you probably decided to block me from commenting on that video after I roasted a kid for talking trash.
+Peabody1001 Odd, I just assumed that was the case cause it wouldnt let me comment on that specific video. XD Sorry for jumping to conclusions, lol. On the next build, I recommend you try to use some mods to smooth the process out, seeing as mods have become mainstream on not only the PC but consoles aswell, it will open up the possibilities quite a bit. It would be pretty interesting!
I don't use mods often, but in this case the mod that would be most helpful is not available for the PS4. (Unless it has been added very recently.) When you couldn't post did it say you were blocked or something. I have actually had trouble a few times posting replies, and I certainly didn't block myself....LOL
Whilst under inspiration from your first video I constructed a factory based on your model expanded three fold. When i came to the counters I had not yet viewed this video thus did not know how you reset them. A trifle of experimentation showed that merely storing( not scrapping, though that would work as well) a counter in the workshop and immediately replacing it, resets its count to zero. while definitely not as clever as your mechanism, i believe it to be much faster.
I knew that, I was trying to find a way to do it without storing and rebuilding. I just find it strange they released a counter with no way to reset it.

Thank you for this video, my ammo plant is a carbon copy of yours but has a explosive one as well 👍

in the order:
1 sec :9
10 sec : 5
1 min : 9
10 min : 5
only the hours would be a bit for more complicated since the single hour it has to be 9 first and after it hits 10 it should be 1(for 12 hour clock)
and for a 24 hour it should be 3 after hitting 20.
do you think you could build it without having to switch it in the terminal? a stopwatch would be easier though, but with a limit on the time.
I do not know any way to change the reset without using the terminal.
Massi Gest i tried to do it too.. but you always need a terminal even to put in the pulse seconds...

So if you have an even amount of counters (2/4/6) you connect it to counters 2, 4, 6 etc and for an odd amount you connect to 1, 3, 5 etc?
Hey bro good job Man U r doing good can u pls do a tutorial on whole factory pls
In order to reset automatically, couldn’t you just attach four delayed off switches? Somehow to force the cycling of power to the counter; four times.
Can you do it step-by-step how to build the whole factory exact like yours
Could this be improved with the pulse thing? So you could send multiple pulses with a single switch. Or does it not work that way?

I wonder why I recognize your username? Do I know you, RS server maybe? Either way, good informative stuff!
RS server? I don't do a lot of online stuff but I have been on a few forums throughout the years.
Is this dlc only for Fallout on the P.C ?
No it is on consoles too. He is playing on PS4
Ok thank's
couldn't you just wire the switch to all 3 counters and reset them at once
I think that wouldn't work, because when you sent the second pulse of electricity, the first counter would reset, which would cause it to also send out a pulse, which would cause the second counter to receive two pulses, which would cause it to reset and then increment to one. I didn't block you. I was planning to do a build of it since so many asked but with the holidays and all I've been a bit busy.

love the video but you should put more enthusiasm in your voice and try not to pause longer than a few seconds😉
mother lover28 cant be happy when your teaching... wpuld be awkward... and when he reaches nine the after that it will be zeroooo! happy happy

Peabody1001 Well that is Bethesda for you. They can't be expected to think of literally everything.
Peabody1001 Though my proudest discovery is how to get three vacuum lines to feed back into a single sorting line.
