Most dealers mechanics auto stores etc....are there to make money only, NOT to help you. they dont think of customer satisfaction, there are enough "suckers" out there to keep the money rolling in. 99% of the time I've fixed it myself with help fromguys like this and the articles posted. Thank you Jessy Lebron for your posting you have saved me a whole lot of money. The Dodge dealership is a rip off, they sell you a car and then do not work with you on THEIR defective parts. No one was able to help until I showed your video, my mechanic after the diagnostic was told to bring in to Dodge for THEIR own diagnostic out of MY POCKET, TOWING OUT OF MY POCKET, REPAIR OUT OF MY POCKET not fair.

Guys there is a recall on the same issue on 2014 in USA and KSA ( Saudia Arabia) Thank god i met a person whos work for mopar spare partas, he told there is a recall when i asked him about the win ( wireless injection node) I was about to spend 1000$ to fix it. Then i went to the dealer and fix it for free .
Jessy, good video. You are correct in your diagnosis. I have been fixing WIN / SKEEM and SKIMS for years. Unfortunately, dealerships don't train their techs to stay current with their technology. But, thank God for UA-cam and Wise consumers that don't pay overpriced or unnecessary part.
Hey y’all . 2008 has a recall on the Ingnition node. I had mine changed then the dealership told me it wasn’t communicating with the tpim. When u do use a dealer. Hello, some trainee mechanic has combined 2 batteries in series to start my Chrysler 300 and the fuse boxes, front and back are now making funny noise, and the car wont start, no power to injectors, plugs and fuel pump... am thinking of replacing the fuse boxes, is that the correct approach to solve the issue? PS: all the lights are ok on the dashboard, windows work fine as well

So how much does the Winn reprogram cost from the guy in Texas (total cost) and what do u actually send him to get reprogrammed?? Do u get a new key fob or do u send ur old one to get reprogrammed? Has anyone tried buying a salvage unit with matching key-fobs for the repair(what's the price if so), or can I just buy a salvage unit w/ keys and send that in to reprogrammed. So I can still drive my car at home, which still works but takes about 20 attempts to finally recognize the key and start??? Thanks in advance for the help and the response.
Same problem with my 2008 charger...thought it was the key ..turns out I have the same problem a bad win module this is a problem with 2008 chargers and caravans. ...I open my dash from the bottom ...very easy to do....sent my win out to Texas ....there is a tech that repairs them out there he is on you tube ...just search win module ..He gives instructions on how to take it out and a video about his repairing them....waiting on mine to get there now.....He will fix the win and program it to a new fob key ....After receiving it back ...i will install it and it should fire right up......I'll post a comment in about another week to let you know if it was successful. ...

my van needed to be towed, they wanted to replace the computer and I told them no, I know the symptoms and troubleshoot to the win, and they replaced it for $230 vs 1000+ for the computer, AND no I didn't need new keys they reused the same keys. GL EVERYBODY

They got parts a couple months ago but never called to tell me, now my van is doing just as you described and I called dodge only to find out they have the part... So now I'm paying and waiting for a tow truck ( which they better reimburse me) so the win can be replaced.... If y'all paid to have the win replaced call about the recall and get your money back
Yes it is a recall . I had my ignition node replaced then they told me it wasn’t communicating with the TIPM …I had tried a hard reset on the tipm before I took it in hoping it is just a loose connection.. anyone else in this position?
I what you mean my uncles girl friend has a 2015 Honda Accord the battery died and the mechanics said it was the alternator we tried a new battery and it started and the car ran fine

so did the plug come off the WIN? what was the original issue? my dodge dont start, no dash light, exterior lights. remote start and remote unlock wont work. the red security light blinks all the time. im thinking security issue, possible WIN, which was just replace bout 6 months ago for a recall.

Isn't technology grand? Sometimes I wish I could drive a car from the 60's or 70's every day! (Damn road salt!) Faults were easier diagnose and could usually be fixed at the side of the road with a well equipped tool kit! Too bad there are unscrupulous dealers that would attempt to rob (because that's exactly what it is!) us. Good for you for knowing better. Maybe you should revive the "Fight Back" show and pick up where David Horowitz left off!

2 options 1. take it to the dealer ask to diagnosed the win, replace and program shouldn't be more then 300, but I heard there's a recall check on that. 2. if it's your win there's a company that rebuilds the win but u have to remove it and send it out to get repaired & I belive there's no reprogramming needed. gl

unfortunately you can send out to some guy and he repairs or go to the dealer I''m not sure about that guy who repairs it but the dealer has to repair this I ended paying 250 with the win and program install
tjanczykowski Check for a recall. My 2009 Journey is in the shop as I type having the WIN replaced. Three weeks ago the car just would not turn over. Replaced the battery and two days later the same thing. Remembered I had a recall notice on the fridge and it was for this exact issue.
Got my win back today from auto tech....in Laredo , tx....put it back in my charger and it fired right up ...I saved well over 600 dollars and tow fee....

They said it was not covered by the recall and replaced the winn and 2 new fobs. for a 502.00 bill. I called chrysler corp and sent in a copy of my bill and a couple of days later I was caLLED BACK AND TOLD IT WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CHRYSLER PRODUCT AGAIN AND ALL OF MY FRIENDS KNOW OF THIS.

Reason for no recall yet is there seems to be potentially a recall of over 700,000 vehicles going back to 2008. Unbelievable yet true same part WIN Module has a now second recall. Not FAIR to us CONSUMERS!!

I have an 09 Journey with the key fobs. I had my WIN and key fobs replaced, DIDNT start AGAIN when I got it home from dealer.
The older Caravans were more reliable than there newer models! James

If nothing is turning on and your able to lock the door its probably the WIN
