I was 23 at the time and the first guy that tried to get me was a guy named Rafil Barba. He had me mulch 3 properties that he owned in a community and when I went to get paid he just refused, no dis satisfaction with the job just no. I always start with personal recommendations. I then pass on to others if the company/person is good. Last year had an emergency plumbing issue and got a recommendation from an experienced building person. Called the number to find out that the family business had been sold to a larger company. Since they could come out within 24 hrs. I had them come. I was so impressed with their representative, time spent with me, questions answered and learned about the company. Originally a Peoria IL family hvac/plumbing company, the son began buying other same kind of companies, usually originator or family member owners retiring. I spoke with employees who came to my bldg who had worked for the original family business. I heard nothing but praise. The company was upfront about 3 options I could go with. Since the bldg is over 100 years old I had to bite the bullet. They guaranteed their estimate of 3 dys work (multiple people) with no price change if it took longer. It took 5 days! (I gave tenants 2 hotel nights at the point it impacted them the most.) No extra charge, they even did not charge me extra materials! It was a 3 floor bathroom plumbing stack removal and replaced to code. Not only that, but after a significant deposit, I received a monthly payment plan which charges me no interest if my monthly payment is on time! One year later after I had a small gas leak in 2 18 year old furnaces, I called the same company. This time my payment plan is no payment for 18 mos. Since I am selling within 6 months, the cost will come straight off the price I receive for the bldg. The name of the company? Perfect Home Services! www.perfecthomeservices.com

Always have them sign a detailed contract with their name (not the companies) and never pay ahead of the work being done.

      It’s all “civil” for now unfortunately. It’s crazy. They have to prove that he took the money knowing he had NO intention on ever doing the work. That’s why he starts the jobs and never finishes it.

      @@vanessamiller9202 Which is exactly what he did and it's simple enough. Not finishing the job should mean REFUND or be prosecuted for theft. What's the difference between these guys and bank robbers? The system is made for cons, lawyers and the courts which wants these cases to be an ever revolving door to keep their jobs and coffers filled.

    • @vanessamiller9202
      @vanessamiller9202 Рік тому

      @@spaniardsrmoors6817 I’m not defending it at all. I’m just saying that is usually how it works. Yes, a refund should be automatically given and if not, it should be theft but the laws haven’t exactly been updated about that like they should just yet. The difference between bank robbers and these guys is contracts, business and the money is handed over to them willingly in the beginning, not forced to by weapons or threats lol that is the difference. It would be a breach of contract vs criminal. Now once these civil cases keep building and building like they are, yes it becomes criminal and I believe that is starting to happen thankfully. And the system is not made for cons. Cons just evolve all the time on finding loopholes and this I believe is one of them. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ and of course this is all just IMO.

      @spaniardsrmoors6817 Рік тому

      @@vanessamiller9202 I know all that but that's my point and I know you're not defending it.. The legal system had DECADES to fix this problem and they continue to do little to nothing, little enough just for the appearance they're doing something to justify their jobs and salaries. So I go back to my original comment, there is no "legal system" when it comes to white collar crime. Just look at all the cases on YT, and those are just a drop in the bucket. This could easily be cleaned up with immediate action and HARSH penalties. I guarantee these cases would drop by 80-90%. But then what would we need all those city and federal employees in the "justice system" and attorneys for? They would drop by nearly the same amount. Get the picture?

    Psychopaths and sociopaths are both considered to have more serious forms of antisocial personality disorder, but they have some differences:
    Empathy
    Psychopaths generally lack empathy and a moral conscience, though they can imitate empathy to manipulate others. Sociopaths may have a limited ability to feel empathy, but they don't pretend to care.
    Remorse
    Psychopaths feel no remorse for harm they cause, while sociopaths may experience limited remorse.
    Impulsivity
    Sociopaths tend to act more impulsively and erratically than psychopaths.
    Attachments
    Psychopaths generally struggle to form attachments, but sociopaths may be able to form attachments with like-minded people.
    Emotions
    Psychopaths are almost emotionally dead and fearless, while sociopaths tend to be emotionally unstable and get angry and stressed out easily.
    Disassociation
    Psychopaths may be better able to disassociate from their actions than sociopaths.
    Functioning
    Psychopaths may be able to maintain a job or family life better than sociopaths
