Any difference from 94-98 12 valve? California state law is pretty fucked.. wanted to swap my 5.7 out of my 06’ mega cab 1500, which is essentially rolling on a 2500 frame running 8 lug
Hello fellow Ohioan (Richland county) Just picked up a 96 12 valve, it’s pretty damn clean but the wiring in the engine bay looks like a tornado hit it. runs great tho looking hope to meet one day
how does a dual intake help push more air towards the front or rear? the entire system is under positive pressure 0-60 psi.. number 1 or 6 cylinder cant be running behind on air unless they where running under a vacuum system
Dude this is the first 2nd gen ram I've ever seen with 4 overload springs and swaybar in the rear. 2 overloads is common but only time I've seen 4 is on my 2500 97 gas burner. That thing is strong as a f450 in the legs I have seen 1 3500 dumptruck with that rear end setup but was a dually and a dump not a pickup. Crazy strong model you got there
Have you thought about wireing up a lockup switch in her? Its a crazy difference in power when you can lock it up and keep it locked then just driving normal. It would be something cool to see
Nice! I love these engines so much I put one in my 78 bronco. 350hp and 25 mpg aint too shabby for a lifted 4x4. p.s. A few years ago, when the engine had about 280k on it, I actually ripped the middle oem head bolt in half near the front of the head and started pushing out coolant, and that was before I upgraded the turbo, I was running the VE turned up as high as it would go, with about 27psi back then, sooo.... I would strongly suggest ARP studs in ANYTHING over stock! In my case, with almost 300k on the engine anyway, I took the opportunity to send the head to my machinist for a valve job, heavier springs and surfacing. Now it's back in action with a Hybrid H1C/H1E turbo I built for it, running 38 psi of boost through a 7.3 intercooler, too. Virtually zero smoke anymore, so it's time for bigger, more efficient injectors. lol I've been amazed how well the stock 78 Bronco axles have survived for 50k miles so far with that much torque, but they have. I did twist off 6 driveshafts before I got that issue worked out, though. lol. 0-60 mph in slightly under 5 secs(5100 lb truck) will surprise some performance cars, too. :D
I know im late to seeing this and I'm hoping its been fixed since this video hows that battery connection? Is that some new quick disconnect all that money on turbos and couldnt fix the positive wire
Got a 1 owner 96 12 valve in the same color scheme as this one, Banks kit, getting ready to do AFC live, and a twin ram kit(Bought both for his birthday). She's been a good truck, only 180K on it...Mom keeps telling dad to buy a new one, dad says "My truck is fine".
see this right here folks is a real car guy. you can dress your truck up to look pretty all you want but what's under the hood is where the real stuff matters.
Nice video I love the nasty red. What intake did you use on the 7.3, and how has it helped you with fuel mileage. My truck is currently is stock and would like to get better fuel mileage.
so how much would you spend to do all these mods. I would want to know before going in, and I assume I would be putting in heavier clutch with my manual
G Jones this truck was built conservatively. Probably have $3k-$4k in Power Upgrades. If you have a manual you will save insane cash on trans stuff... maybe $1.3k to have a dual disk clutch installed. And you’d be good for 750hp!
Picked myself up a 96 12 valve today🤘🏼
Congrats
Only down side is it doesnt start 😬
I've got a 96 myself
I got me a 1994 2500!
And love the dam thing!

Glad I found this. I’m selling my 2014 hemi and going back to a 96 12v 5 speed
Bout time! I’ve been itching for my daily dose of LOUD N PROUD!
Awesome vid...good job on nasty red...cant wait for the dually build....
Hey man just shooting an idea when the light bar comes off maybe cab lights. I think it would look great
Axle dump would suit the flat bed nicely since it’s all open like you mentioned.

I think it would be cool to see a cab light installation on the Nasty Red 12v🤷🏻♂️👍🏻
I wanna see something hooked up to that Gooseneck 💪🏼😎✌🏼
What kind of atmospheric turbo did u buy with the compound turbo kit
Gotta love the Nasty Red,I’ve followed this truck the whole way and the transformation is crazy‼️🙌🏽🤤 #TeamLNP
Awesome video man! The passion you have is what helps drive me on my channel!

Got a 5 speed 12 valve! Love your vids bro keep it up
what is your approx fuel mileage city, highway, towing? thanks.
Did you have to extend your filler neck for the fuel tank??
What is the difference between banks and pusher
I found a 12 valve cummm 1998 / 191,000 miles for 5,000 healthy engine but rusted frame should I purchase it ?
Have you thought about wireing up a lockup switch in her? Its a crazy difference in power when you can lock it up and keep it locked then just driving normal. It would be something cool to see
Do a 5in exhaust. Helps lower your egt’s at 500+. 4in increases your egt’s and loses a little power at 500+hp

Just picked up a 94 12v today. Only 200k km. Thanks for the great content and hello from Canada Eh

What exhaust are you running on that ? I have a 98 12v ..... need to do an exhaust
You didn’t need pushrods with those springs or that boost level unless you went with higher lb springs or aftermarket cam.
How do you move the battery to the fender from behind the headlight?
Where in the heck can I get performance work done on my 12v in North Carolina???
I love all your videos loud and proud you really make awesome builds
You should mount the light bar to the front of the headache rack on that bar that sticks up above the cab
Did you change out the stock transmission?
Didn’t hear you mention it in the video, but I’m putting the same compound kit on my truck. What turbo are you running with the stocker?
Man I love Nasty Red that 12 valve is so awesome great job and great video
see this right here folks is a real car guy. you can dress your truck up to look pretty all you want but what's under the hood is where the real stuff matters.
Gardy Marra Appreciate it! Thanks for watching man!
Do you need a new clutch for it or no
How much can that 1st tow comfortable on mild freeway with about 11k lbs?
Keep up the good work man. That trucks a beast
How did you get your turbo whistle louder I have a 92 first GEN 12 valve Cummins turbo diesel and I want a louder turbo Whistle
Remove the turbo silencer plate from the turbo inlet, that's the only way I've heard of
What i wanna know is how did you do the oil drains on the nasty red
question how would i add more power to my 24 valve without messing up fuel mileage
How do you get your trans to hold?
Nice set up. But I couldn't keep my eyes of off that coolant line gear clamp hahaha.
I just got a 1996 12v. Where can I find those great mirrors you have. Thanks tom
Love the anthems on the nasty red
Awesome truck
Crazy transformation bro, I remember the vid where you passed it on the side of the road and now look at it, awesome stuff brother #TeamLNP
Does anyone know where I can get 4th gen conversion brackets for my 1996 ram 1500 I’m trying to put a 4th gen bumper!!
Waiting for the trans to give up lol. Love the vids man.
Dream truck! I hope to win it since my work truck just took a shit on me! Stupid question…. Is it 4wd?
Could you recommend a good place to the high pressure fuel pump rebuilt? I have a 96 and the pump is leaking bad.
What is the mpg on the nasty red now that the mods are all installed
Mathew Vaughan we don’t daily drive it... so I couldn’t tell ya... my guess is 25hwy 18in town
What does the number 5 fuel plate do
That truck it a completely different truck. It's amazing to look back and then look at it now.
Does this compound kit allow you to keep AC?
What are you doing for a trans?
Hell you were headed towards Decatur that where I'm from shit im subscribing

That's the definition of badass
Another great vid keep up the great content nasty red is looking good asf
Turbo kit link doesn't work
How many miles does this 12 valve have?
Awesome Video as always !
Have you done any transmission work to it? I would think you would need something to hold that much power.
Andrew Casida getting built soon.
how much did all of these mods cost. i want a first gen and am looking to do roughly the same mods.
If you want a 1st gen with 600hp get a second gen instead. Ve pump is only good to about 500hp.
So crazy looks exactly like my old cummins same exact paint flat bed and only difference is the wheels
Going back through the old school nasty red videos, ❤️ MY CUMMINS TURBO DIESEL 👍👍
600hp thru a stock trans and no lift pump!? How does that work??
How many miles does it have???
watching theses videos, as a future mechanic is awesome. I'm thinking of swapping a 12v into my Silverado and making it a play toy
Love watching your videos!
Loud and proud squad we're you at😎😎
Great video
if someone knows what flatbed that is i would appreciate it i need one for my 98 12v
Picked up a 95 last week and getting ready to drop in 250hp injectors, will that turbo set up be good with that size injector (5x18)
carl carpenter yup
you are gonna need bigger delivery valves though
And I highly suggest a airdog 150gph to
I'll take the light bar off nasty red
Thanks for liking my comment yesterday anthem off-road post I posted nasty redddddddd got bad ass wheels and tires

been here since 3-7k subscriber
Can u do a video of what the average fuel economy is of a 600hp truck
It’s still probably 20mpgs lmao
Love the truck man i would like to know approximately how much did this build cost in total
Nasty Red's purring like a kitten.
What’re your shop dimensions?
is that 600 crank or 600 wheel
You think I could fit a hx35 and a hx55
Found a 96 5 speed 4x4. Off to DAP I go
I know you live in the mid west now with that Menards 😂
That cover on your rear diff is prob making it hotter
I want to enter to win the ford, I have a question, I i were to win do I hav3 to pay the Taxes on the truck

What happened to the 1st gen?
BeastRider651 we still have it!
LOUD 'N' PROUD love that thing cant wait for it to be back in the vids
Love the video and also nasty red and all the trucks
I wonder how a pusher system would do on my common rail
Do the valve covers you put on dually. That would look clean!
Do you remember how many subs you had when you bought your white second gen? That's when I subbed and I don't know how many you had when I did.
Finn Caplan 4K the day I brought it home...
