Great Video and simple explanation of the parts. I got a bone stock 97' dodge ram 2500 4x4 w/auto trans that has only 49,000 miles on it looks like new. The only thing I did was add a Banks air box which helped turbo spool up little quicker. Never had a diesel and am trying to learn what can do to help get it to tow and basically have more reliable power for it. I've had many people want to buy it all the time. Can't wait to get it working better for towing trailers. It really slows on hills on freeways! So keep up the videos, will be watching.
If you want to tow don’t throw the biggest turbo instead do something like a k27 and 369 compound kit with a bit of fueling and you will have one of the best trucks around it will spool faster than your truck now and pull harder then you ever need it

191 DV's, 5x14's, Max travel kit, No fuel plate, diy AFC Live, 4k Gov, 18* timing, Diy hotrod lift pump 30mm bore, and a 60/67/12 that i rebuilt out of the original hx35
mint. love the videos. i myself have a 2003 quad cab short bed 4x4 cummins, with the nv5600. i'd love to find a regular cab 2wd truck but being from ontario theyre almost impossible to find in good shape

A steering wheel puller from Autozone works good for pulling the timing gear on the P-pump

Came for the Volvo gravy stayed for the Cummins splooge.
The reason the exhaust is always missing on the old 12 valve p pump Cummins trucks isn't because people straight pipe them it's because they are total rust buckets and the factory exhaust usually would rust to the point of falling off within 10 years of being manufactured LOL

You should get a high flow exaust manifold for your cummins
On compounds you can just use your stock hx35 as the main to feed the 64mm when it's time to eat then the 64 will take over an kick ass

you could lower the turbo lag by putting a quick spool valve between the manifold and the turbo. Dieselpumpuk had amazing result with it
