Lars, a personal Paul GIlbert concert from 2 feet away...not a bad job to have.
And yet he looks like a miserable prick that's bored out of his mind. Worst interviewer I've seen in a while. When you're interviewing someone, it's not too much to ask that you don't murder-face your way through the interview.

Like everyone else I just got lost in listening to everything he said. My brain constantly trying to come up with something to add or compliment what he was saying. But there was just no need, really. Paul Gilbert just ran with it and there was no reason for me to interrupt him :-)
@@larsfrederiksen3005 Hey Lars, if it really is you then I apologize. I take back what I say about you not enjoying Paul. I'm really glad you were enjoying his presence like we enjoyed the video. However, I will maintain that your role in the video is sorely lacking because you barely contributed any info of value and had practically no reaction to what he said and did. It's 99.9% dominated by Paul. It might as well just be him explaining his rig without an interviewer. Even saying something like "that lick was great" or your tone was awesome would have contributed something more. It just feels like you had no reaction. Compare that to the videos he's done with JHS. Their chemistry is way better.
I love listening to Paul . The combination of a great guitarist , your best buddy and the enthusiasm of a little kid!

Paul is the man. So much respect for him. Love that he uses the Mojo Mojo. It's my main go to.
MojoMojo is the first OD Pedal wich satisfied me. So i run 2 on my pedal board 😆 no need for another OD. Totaly underrated pedal. Best tone for less money.
Same here! I actually got mine in large part because of Paul and it just sounds great. I use it in the same way cause I play a lot of small gigs and I don't have a car so I'm often using the venue's equipment. So as long as I can get an Ok clean sound from whatever amp they have, I throw on the mojo mojo and I have my sound.
Paul Gilbert is a classy guy. Easy to approach, humble and full of great stories. I love his no nonsense approach to tone, it just makes sense. The collaboration between TC and Paul is epic!
Yeah and he keeps betting better in classic blues/rock.
Love the way Paul has become less shreddy and more soulful compared to the good old drill days.

Paul Gilbert is like the most relatable Rockstar ever, he's literally just like any of us guitar geeks, like a kid in a candy store with his enthusiasm. One of my heroes for sure.
He is slowly but surely becoming my favorite guitar player EVER.
I love that Paul likes to test out wacky ideas. Like that Tremolo idea that totally didn't work. God bless him for showing us that it's ok to try new things!
The thing I always notice about PG is he never seems dissatisfied with his sound. I mean, he just loves to play and he's so flexible that he will make it work and put himself into it no matter what. Every sound motivates him to play something cool.
I was just mentioning Paul Gilbert at band practice last night. Quite frankly, he is one of the coolest humans that happens to be a guitar god on this planet. Keep being you Paul, you are an inspiring human! :)

The way Paul went from shred to slide and back to shred without skipping a beat.. Mind Blown..
Became a ridiculous fan during the initial Racer-X years; then found out Paul could walk around the house nailing every Beatle's tune ever penned- and that his true wheelhouse is far removed from just shredding.
Not many cooler Guitar demi-gods out there.

I remember watching PG in the REH vid. Thinking to myself, I’ll never be able to play that fast. Always a cool dude, constructing a killer tone. You sound much better as the years go by.
Yeah, I did that too, and what a waspy tone that was... Much better here, despite that old tone (and volume) killing off most of his hearing..
The Spark is such a sleeper pedal. I think everyone gets the mini for the booster, price and momentary switch, which is so good, but I’m glad to see the big one used as an overdrive in this video. it sounds great on top of the mojomojo
If I could spend a whole afternoon with Paul while he tries pedals and sounds and riffing, I would be so happy...
I like Paul Gilbert. He's full of colorful adjectives when explaining his pedal board sounds and building. He's like the architect of pedal boards. Like a kid in a candy store. Paul is a genius. You can't fool us Mr. Gilbert. Behind those glasses we know there is the 80's shredmeister. LOL

P. Gilbert, what a cool dude! When he came out in the early days he scared anyone trying to learn to play guitar...now he speaks, and that is a good thing

Had a chance to meet Paul at a guitar clinic 20-25 years ago or there about, absolutely one of the nicest guys ever. He was a one man band, even back then just blew me away and I've been a fan ever since. Just amazing what he does! Love the old Racer X stuff and Mr. BIG.
A master amongst masters. Watching him go about his craft is such a treat. He blows you away with his virtuosity, and yet speaks about music in such an accessible way.
Saw Paul is a small club in Austria a few years ago, stood directly in front of him, still got goosebumps,
Paul Gilbert, the best advert for pedals ... he can make any pedal sound magical in couple seconds ... You have to love him
the rusty fuzz was the first pedal i ever bought (i’m new to this!) and now that my pedal collection has grown, i’m continuously amazed how good it sounds compared to all sorts of other gain stages i use. And for the price, truly unbeatable.
That slide pick up and put down was the smoothest I’ve ever seen. Learnt some cool things from this, tremolo first and boost last

I could listen to this genuine Man all day. He has such creativity, and all-around intrest in what he does. I've been listening to his music for years, but whenever I happen to find something new of him, it's like a breath of fresh air. I respect him very much. Rock on!

I run pretty much the same way Paul does, but I do use the effects loop and I have built a special 3 tier pedal board that its really simple to just plug in the effects loop to you amp and one cable to the front of the amp and plug your guitar in. Very simple! My pedal board is made of yellow pine that I dyed and clear coated. Its badass!
Damn, man! I could just sit there all day just listening to Paul churn out sick riffs and cool lines. He's such an artist.
Cool board build. It's so good watching someone like Paul who you can tell just lives through what they're playing, even the shortest riff he's just in it.
If you'll excuse me, I think I'm going to spend several weeks watching this vid in slow motion to try and learn all those licks!
Paul's enthusiasm for knowledge and fun is just infectious in the best way possible. I just saw him last night with my father at the Iridium and it was just an uplifting experience in an otherwise stressful time of life. We were right in front of his rig (JTM45 into a 4x12) and it was loud but not painful, just amazing tone. Thank you TC and PG for all the great tones!

The first time I saw Paul live with Mr. Big was in November of 89. It was on their first club tour so I was right up front digging it all. It happened to be Paul's 23rd birthday and during his solo Billy, Eric and Pat (RIP) snuck up behind him and smashed a birthday cake over his head so he had to play the rest of the show covered in cake. Unfortunately he didn't hangout after the show (he had to get cleaned up) but Eric and Pat stayed for drinks with a few of us.

Wow, Paul is such an amazing player, one of my favorite guitar players. I remember the first time I've seen him playing "Technical difficulties": I wanted to throw my guitar away. Luckily, I'm still playing 😁 I hope I'll win 🤞🏻

I LOVE Paul, it's great to see that he's still relevant decades after his "hay day" and just like Jeff Beck, he's been able to evolve as a guitarist. I just love it.
