I do think it's about time the devs do something about mass cannon galleons, especially spanish. I think if Reubens team could've held their positions longer, that critical mass of cannons would've been unstoppable. Nice play with the hand cannons, would've never thought of that.
Thanks for watching Sam! And yes I do agree - With how many Hybrid maps there are and how often boats fight vs land units now, navy just feels OP in these positions
@@VarrusAOE I think they might want to up the cost of naval units. I mean, a war wagon costs more wood than a galleon right now. AOE4 does a good job of making ships seem 'bigger', taking up more pop space and costing more. We may be heading in that direction depending on how the pros leverage boats going forward. You guys will probably be at the forefront of that given the maps you play on. The fishing ship boom would've sounded insane even 6 years ago.

@@cliffordcrimson7124 fire ships don't counter mass CG, especially spanish CG. There is no proper counter to them if you mass enough of them. There's entire strats around massing fires in the middle of a lake on a map, transporting vills to the middle, and waiting out the opponent.
I am at 1200 elo team games, and everyrime someone on the opponent team realizes there is a unit called "canon galleon" the game turns into a nightmare😂 everytime we try to movr the base and start again, it ends up bombard sounds coming 😂 nice content 🎉
