I've been cooking with it for the last year since I've been watching your channel. I would have 100% hated that Sundubu jiggae before then. Now, this made me drool. Awesome Mark. Soondubu is one of my top 3 foods in Korea hands down. I usually break the egg in the soup and mix it all around - makes it more stewy. But you're right, the combo of super spicy hot, and super heat hot will make any winter weather a relief when you walk outside.

Mark Wiens , oh man that looks so good. Sundubu Jiggae is one of my favorite Korean dishes and I can tell by the texture and color of the one you ordered that it was of high quality. If it is not made well it looks a lot more watered down. You may already know this but there are restaurants in Korean called Sundubu Jips (stands for Sundubu House) that serve nothing on the menu other than tofu based dishes.

If you have not tried Jjajangmyuen, you have to. It's most delivered food in Korea, like pizza is in U.S. These are my two favorite food btw. For Jjajanmyuen, I would recommend some place in Insadong OR any place where they Hand toss the noodle. Recommend GanJjajang instead of the regular. Jjamppong also.

I tried that during one freezing cold winter. After having this delicious hot spicy pot, I was sweating like crazy. It cooled me down. It supposed the other way around but then later I got so much energy and warm once walking back out. Me too, I would eat kimchi everyday. The best ever Korean staple dish.

Dude, I went to seoul a year ago, on january. It was 5°c cold. So I went on this amazing little restaurant where they served one whole GINSENG boiled chicken. The warm ginseng revived my energy, it also revived my cold tounge so I could taste the amazing deliciousness of the chicken ginseng. I also went on small island I forgot what it was, to taste the amazing korean BBQ. I went on their village to where I could eat one full pan of bulgogi. Your video reminds me of such an adventure I had. :)

I've never tried Sundubu jigae but I love Kimchi jigae. Sadly there's not many Korean restaurants in Leeds,UK (well one but it's expensive and not authentic), so if I want Korean food I have to make it myself (with the help of my Korean friend xD).
Hey Mark:-) I slept in then had steamed mochiko dumplings w/pork patties n poached egg. Added grilled eggplant n tomatoes. For sure we like the same kind of comfort food! I don't miss kimchee as badly as I used to:/ your nori loOks goOd!
