FLORENCE, ITALY - Today we’re going on an ultimate Italian food tour in Florence, Italy. We’ll eat some of the most legendary street food, iconic dishes, and then end with a truly authentic and rare Florentine meal for dinner. Get ready to eat your way through Florence!

Here’s all the Italian food we ate in Florence:
All’Antico Vinaio, Florence, Italy (maps.app.goo.gl/DYuKWMcZYo2a9...) - We’re starting off this Italian street food tour with what is easily one of the world’s most famous sandwiches from All’Antico Vinaio. Their bread is immaculate, right out of the oven. I tried three different sandwiches, all of which were outstanding:
Sandwich 1: Favolosa - Sbriciolona salami, cream of pecorino cheese, artichokes, spicy eggplants
Sandwich 2: La Inferno - Roast suckling pig, spicy cream, spicy eggplant, rocket
Sandwich 3: La Paradiso - Mortadella, stracciatella cheese, pistachios
Tripperia Pollini Lampredotto - You can visit Florence without trying their beloved lampredetto, a sandwich made with the cow’s 4th stomach (abomasum). Traditionally it’s just served with salt and pepper, but with some herb oil and chili oil it really bumps up the flavor.
Vivoli Gelato - Continuing with this Italian food tour with had a Gran Crema Caffè Vivoli (Affogato) - Cream gelato with coffee, at one of the original and historical gelato shops - it was delicious!
Tripe sandwich: Da' Vinattieri - Edoardo next brought us into an alley to eat Trippa alla Fiorentina - Florence style tripe sandwich, which is slightly different from the lampredetto we had already eaten earlier.
La Sorbettiera - After trying the original and old style gelato affogato, we then needed to try a modern gelato spot.
Cibrèo Ristorante, Florence, Italy (maps.app.goo.gl/riMyoyB2x3Rbr...) - Finally, along with all the street food, we decided to sit down for a massive higher end dinner to highlight some of the true and nearly forgotten Italian dishes of Florence. We tried the massive Antipasto, Collo di pollo ripieno - stuffed chicken neck, Tagliolini cacio e burro - pasta with cheese and butter, Roastbeef del Cibrèo Caffè - roast beef with butter sauce, and finally Cibrèo - chicken and rooster organs in egg and lemon sauce! What a meal, highly recommended and thank you again for Edoardo for arranging it.

I'm living in Toronto, and during Covid, their opened a restaurant nearby that specialized in Italian flatbread. I went thinking, it'll be like Subway. The breads, the quality of meat, the olives, my mind opened a new portal of flavors. They closed within 1 1/2 years but the tastes, the skill of chefs and how amazing Italian flatbreads are, stays with me to this day. Hope to head to Florence someday

Small world - Torontonian here too! 😆 the one good thing about living in the city is that there are still other options here in Toronto! Guaranteed there are italian bakery sandwich shops hidden around places, always more fun to try than chains

That dinner was such a gem. Really authentic Italian cuisine without any of the stereotypical dishes tourists would expect. Italy is far more than pizza and pasta guys.

I love how they take so much pride in making each ingredient special. All natural, down to homemade bread. Makes my mouth water and sad our country doesn't have the same passion when it comes to food, taste, ingredients.

They definitely have influenced the world in various things, including food, fashion, history, ⚽️ of course some of the most beautiful women ever. Currently have an italian flag in my house right now. The diversity in italian food is amazing. 🍕, pasta, lasagna, panini, I could go on. I eat italian food at least five times a month. I've never personally met Mark Wiens, but he is an awesome dude in terms of his demeanor. He's the type of person that we need for the world. Hey Mark, I love this video so much. I was just in Florence last year and it is hands down my favorite city on the planet. This video brings back some memories. I will definitely go back there again and try the tri pini as I missed that last time.
Also, I would like to say how much I appreciate what you're doing. I can't say how pressured you must feel when speaking in public and I can only imagine you getting weird looks from some people. I also appreciate your friends that travel with you and understand your responsibilities. They looked like they're enjoying their time while waiting for you to do your things. I was there in 2019 my son and I tried the cow's stomach lampredotto. All ingredients are fresh including the bread, truffle spread, arugula and cow's stomach doesn't taste like it. Florence is amazing!❤

Oh yes the food in Italy is just amazing 🥰 my parents are Italian born and I went there a few years ago in the south of Italy. I just loved it so much, the good is so delicious and the freshest ingredients are used always! Great video Mark I am glad you’ve been enjoying Italy

The style and the way everything was plated shows you how much understanding the art of preparing great food, the chef showed care texture and how much the flavor and ingredients works as one.with the timing of ever cut slice is done with the love for the food and cooking a great meal that’s so delicious.with a great meal and a leader and a great teammate that how will do there best meal you will never forget it’s great you took time and talked about every plate .that sounded great that last plate was something,they made the plate look delicious.

Florence ITALY THE most beautiful city!!!! All the food OH MY! YOU MARK, EDUARDO, MR. TASTER, AND JEFFREY! What a wonderful food adventure starting with the sandwiches!! The huge foccia bread sandwiches! Just had to be beyond delicious! Then the organ sandwiches stomach liver, etc. Like the one with parsley and chili oils! 120 yrs WOW! The Gelato the best!!! But the elegant resteraunt with the waitress speaking fluent English was nice. Wonderful stunning food. The fettuccine wirh carrot juice and butter, the thin roast beef in butter, the prosciutto, rabbit in the chocolate sauce delicious I bet Mark, lasagna with the potato that was an experience for sure!!! Italy is my favorite country! People so friendly! Glad you and Jeffrey were able to go and show us how Italy is!!!!

The crunch of that fresh bread is incredible.
After watching this episode I went straight to Jersey Mike's & got me a swiss turkey footlong with extra peppercines then just imagined I was in Florencia with Mark scarfing down one of those crafted signature masterpieces 😅 It wasn't authentic but it ceased my stomach from rumbling lol!! i love your videos, evectional range and experiences! I like to see an experienced eye to authentic dishes that I've tried or experienced myself. Especially the bread, my god the bread in other countries is phenomenal, "what ere we even doing here?". I do wish youd segmented your videos with timestamps, it makes it easier to revisit some past videos for a specific part and to pinpoint interests in the moment. All in all, keep up the good work!
The crunch when they handle and slice the bread makes me want to shed a tear for the beauty of it! I love your shows, Mark, and I have watched many of them, but my mouth has never watered as much as seeing this one. If you haven't been to Florence, you must go - and you must go to the Duomo. Take the stairs up inside of it (extra Euro, but so worth it) - the view from the top is nothing less than extraordinary. I wish I'd known about this sandwich shop when I went.

I visited Firenze and it's a really Gorgeous City! The Duomo, in Piazza Santa Maria Novella is one of the most Amazing Beautiful Duomo/ Church in the World, it's Gothic Style, and at night time it becomes more Beautiful and Impressive! Welcome to Italy Mark, hopefully you'll get to Sicily one of these days.. Palermo is the best place to eat Italian street food (mercato ballarò, mercato del capo & vucciria). The tuscan panino al lampredotto is one of my favorites while in Firenze. Have a safe and fun trip around Italy!💚🤍❤

I've been to Florence twice and would love to go back. This a great alternative to that, haha. Amazing city with a rich and important history and super friendly people. You just HAVE to try the delicious sandwiches there.

I’ve been to Cibreo back in 2003 and had the prefix menu. I had the most wonderful soup there that melted in my mouth. Glad I could see everything they do in this video.

Firenze is my favourite city in Italy! Then is Palermo, Sicily as one of my ancestors was from there. Also, I did a food tour in Firenze last September and it was amazing. I too sampled that world famous sandwich and I think I stopped at that same gelato shop.
