- With just one day to go until the big dance in Capetown it's time to pack up, register, and get myself amped for the day ahead. Shoulder is feeling pretty good following surgery 6 weeks ago but on the downside I made the rookie mistake of going out for a fast run last week and "distressing" my calf muscle. I've done everything to help it heal so with a little luck...and a lot of KT tape we should be ok...fingers crossed.
I am running for the charity Fit4Rhinos

Run well young man and stay safe on those trails...... no more 'accidents'!!! see you on the other side
You wouldn’t believe me if I told you I fell on my shoulder this evening 😱. Seems to be ok, thank goodness, but the universe seems to be determined to stop me running this race. Don’t worry there will be no heroics tomorrow.
Fair play to you Dave. Keeping us in the loop ! Hope your calf & collarbone gave you an easy run in the UTCT ! Looking forward to hearing all about it.

Definitely take the poles, they'll help with your calf. Good luck.
Yeah, you’re right Alex. Thankfully my calf felt much better today than yesterday so I am optimistic it will be have. Let’s see how this goes.

Good luck on the run. How many UTMB stones do you get for finishing the race?
