What a luscious way to begin the new day!!! Love the workouts Adriene is such a wonderful “trainer” in this yoga practice we are devoted, to…. Staying fit is one of the main keys to longevity 75 and feeling great Been a yoga ever since I discovered Adriene over ten years ago💕‼️ 🙏🏼
Hello! I am returning to yoga after years away. I was working through disordered eating and over training and body dysmorphia. As I have found my way home to my body, I have realized that I never laid the foundations. I, with complete arrogance, went straight to the "hard" stuff always trying to do the fullest expression of the pose just for ego's sake. Needless to say I wound up with many muscle imbalances and injuries becasue I was so disconnected from my body. So as I return to yoga, I knew I wanted to return to practice with you. I am starting from the beginning and falling in love with this movement again. But this time, I am teachable :) Thank you!
Not sure how I never saw this video before. Wrist was a little tender today, so I'll be revisiting this one again in the near future. Day 473 of the current run.
Day 15 complete I wasn't sure how to do that one pose at the end at first but I managed to figure it out. I don't think it's a pose I'll do often or ever again but it's rewarding getting a pose you've never tried before. 06/15/2024
GET to KNOW back tp basic - soooo important and thank u for breaking flow into steps and really ground on esssentials namaste to all practising and May all find newness with begin
Great yoga practice Adriene. 👍 I don't think I got the knees, chest, chin, thing but I will certainly keep practicing it. I'm sure with time I'll get there. 😀 see you again tomorrow, for another awesome yoga practice. Namaste. 🙏❤
Adrienne, I am having a real crisis of confidence with my chaturanga . This really helped and I will practice every day. This is not ego just wanting not to hurt myself. Thank you xxx
Get To Know, June 15, 2024. Maybe I'm losing strength or something, but I found this practice to be quite a challenge on my arms and a couple other injured parts. But I pushed through doing what I was able. Definitely packed a lot of heat in a short time, on an already sweltering day. Appreciating the flow 💙
Interesting in all the years I have been doing Yoga with Adrian I have not done knees chin chest. I thought I would fall on my face at first but I got er done. Didn’t look as sooty as yours my dear young Adrian. Good challenge and break down of moves I have done faster. It’s always a challenge to do poses slowly. Thanks as always. Day 15 June.
I came here after my Empower practice (Strength 1) and thinking I could use some detailed Chaturanga Practice. It's always great to focus on some details (as Adriene said, "that was a lot") - after all, yoga is a journey
This is the first video of yours I ever did Adriene, a couple of years ago. Always used and loved Psychetruth (I still do), but I wanted to improve my Chaturanga so I searched and found this, which lead me on to Knees Chest Chin, which is probably my favourite pose to do, and then UA-cam started suggesting more of your videos from there and here I am now having practiced with you almost every day for over a year, and back to this video again because I'm following the November calendar. So nice to revisit my roots in every way
a great intro to this pose-so many people injure themselves (this would include me) in the quest to perform this pose when they really haven't built the foundation of strength and alignment.I take it much easier in vinyasa classes, b/c I found I was flinging myself through the pose in an effort to achieve something my body wasn't ready for.
It astounds me how challenging chaturanga is for me, even on knees, when done mindfully! I have definitely had a tendency to collapse my shoulders and realize I haven't really been building my shoulder strength all this time I've been doing it on my knees...no wonder I haven't moved on past that point yet! Thank you for making such accessible videos.
Hello Adriene just wanted to say you’re absolutely amazing your tutorials are wonderful I started doing yoga a couple of years ago technically I’m still a beginner but I did it to avoid back surgery and it has been wonderful you! are a godsend thank you so much🙏
I love this kind of video so much for me to learn the basic foundation to gain more benefit to every yoga move and pose and to avoid injury. This is such a wondeful all time video. Very berief about the position of the neck, spine, arms, leg, rotation, look.. everything. Do you make such video for all basic yoga pose? Thank you so much, Adriene. 💖
Used to do chaturanga but I hurt my shoulder so found this, which fixed the bad alignment which caused my injury and built my strength as I rehabilitated my shoulder. The knee chest chin video in yoga foundations is definitely worth checking out too!
Adriene, this is very helpful. I never do the "hanging version" because of lower back problems and this is a very elegant solution to chaturanga getting all the action you need
Got it!!!!! So pleased, I've been struggling with these push-ups in plank and half plank. Today, I learnt how to do it well! Knees chest and chin is fun! Thank you beautiful one :)
KNOW 🔮 | June 15, 2024 | I don't believe I've done this video before, it's always helpful to finetune poses. This did a great job on breaking down the moving parts of Chaturanga! Now I'm off to cut the grass! 🙏
Awesome! Now I can see my elbows in 90 degree angle that you’re supposed to have while doing chaturanga. I’ve been practicing for years but half push-up was my weakness. I figured I can never do it - ever. Well, I don’t know if I can, but at least I won’t Injure myself anymore. The variation is good enough! Im at this point In my life that I’m over headstands and crazy poses. I’m older hehe. Thank you for this tutorial.
Really good teaching methods, explanations and yoga practice, looks good core strength workout for all sports enthusiasts. your inspiring lots of people Adriene.
I always find my hands in the right place for down dog but when I transition to chatarunga I never seem to have them in the right place. Any tips?? Loved this challenge for a newbie like me.
I have extralong legs and when we go down from dog to the floor, I feel like a baby giraffe, no grace or finess haha. But I enjoyed it! Thank you Adriene, you are such a beautiful soul
As we practiced this, ... I have my faithful dog Sara, who always lays nearby, like you have Benji,...but our kitty, Sam , who has grown into a cougar pretty much, joined today's practice, as I wore my sweatshirt, and in quadriped, he layed under me, grabbing at and biting my forearms, then grabbing the strings hanging down from the hood,...while I practiced focusing :) :) LOL
Today my heels touched the floor while doing downward facing dog...OMG....I never thought they would...butit happened....just like you said they would in one of your other vids 👍 😍 🤪 🧘♀️
Thanks!
So fun to see the origianal Adriene in her early humble digs.
I love the foundations videos. I found the 3rd practice the hardest to do. Thankyou, Adriene xxx

Thank you Dear Adriene, you are so gentle and kind. Love this hip opening sequence!
Thank you Adriene! I have trouble with this pose for some reason. I definitely do a poor man’s version of chaturanga.
Day 15 of Get to Know ❤🎉 Love this oldie ❤❤❤

Maybe the knees, chest, chin video she mentions will help.🙏🏻
I always adjust my feet when going from plank to downward dog, but I'm not sure that everyone does that.
You are such a wonderful teacher! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and positive energy. 🤗

Hi Adriene! I love your videos! Keep up the great work! xx
Thanks doll!!!
ANOTHER truly awesome video! Thank you so much!
I really love your videos and your voice is relaxing.
Very usefull ! Thanks a lot! ❤
This is good quality Adriene. Clear video and audio. You should find some good royalty free music to put in the background.
Hi love, thanks! We have some videos with music. Some without. :) A little something for everybody!
PsycheTruth I disagree. There are too many videos in which the background music overwhelms the instruction, or point of the video.
No music please! This is just perfect!!! Thank you ever so much for all these videos, they are real game changers!!! Lots of love :-)
No BGM thanks! Adrien's voice is sweet and no music need.
No music!!!!! It is always better when I can choose my background music by myself.
