So helpful! In most yoga classes, the teacher rushes through Chaturanga and gives the option to do either variation, and I've always just been sort of rolling with it. This is so informartive! Would you consider either doing a series where you and your teacher highlight certain poses/groups of poses/sequences? Or maybe you could do a yoga themed q&a together? x
To me this is the most difficult pose in yoga. Needless to say I’ve been getting better and this video def helped! I didn’t know there were so many variations
Life saver. The elbow trick at the very end got me a smooth Chatturanga first try. I had never been able to get all the way down and I always felt like it hurt my wrists 🤦♀️now I know why haha 😅
Thank you for this!! I'm new to yoga... 55 days new but who's counting, lol. I think I've been doing my Chaturangas wrong this whole time and my shoulders are injured. It's hard to know if you're doing a pose correctly when you are watching videos, so thank you!!
I have been doing yoga for a few years and not turning the eye of the elbow forward in this pose has contributed to trap pain. Thank you for that little tip!
Really nice tips! It's nice to see it slowed down and explained. It definitely takes practice and building strength. I sort of just plop down when I get fatigued. lol!
I really enjoyed this! :) I have been doing yoga for nearly a month now ( I follow Yoga with Adriene - shes amazing) and this really helped explain not only chaturanga but also why your elbow creases should face out and it has helped me a lot - thank-you :)
Oh my god!!! Just rotating the arms like that?! I have watched so many videos but this is the first one where someone actually shows us the difference. I tried it and it felt easier than when I was trying without that rotation. I still can’t do a chaturanga but maybe now I can improve. It really is those little things. Thank you!
I always knew something was kinda wrong with my chaturanga and now I know how to do it properly! Also thanks for mentioning that the tilting forward is not right for everyone because it really helped me :)
Thank u so much niomi mam , really helped me ,as I was stuck in elbow ,shoulder . Even I had shoulder corner pain. Injury.so was droping the idea of learning but your video gave me motivation

Really helpful...thank you I was missing the back piece for some reason When you mobilize the right muscles in Yoga it is like closing a circuit and the light goes on Thanks again!
I like how in the final chateranga how you adjust the feet one by one. I often see people do a toe roll with both feet together and it often feels painful for me to replicate so I will place my feet like Niomi has done from now on. Thanks
My instructor noticed I was doing it wrong and she taught us the pose as a class- being called in (not out) was lovely but since then I’ve been doing so much research to fix the flow and realized I was taking easy short cuts- it’s so much harder than I thought it was!!! But I already feel sore in my arms from practicing … that’s good right
I am finding that this really bothers my neck and L trap/SCM muscles, whether I tilt forward or not. I have chronic pain in my L trap/SCM that causes chronic daily migraines. I was hoping this would help relieve the pain but it makes it worse. Should I just ist not do this?
Great tutorial! I’m glad you mentioned leaning forward for the final progression. Using yoga blocks for chaturanga can really help with alignment. Lizette Pompa Yoga demonstrates this well in a tutorial. Give it a look bc I think you’ll like it 😀
i think i would looove doing yoga more, but every time i go to a class to try it out again-i get injured or just a new problem shows up in my body afterwards; might just not be doing the movements right or something, idk
I love your videos and your positive energy! But I think you should be careful with yoga. :( I do Tikva instead, it´s a Christian excersise that is very much like yoga, but we focus on god and bibleverses, with calming music... I really LOVE IT! :D

Agreeeeeed hope these ladies are okay with Covid
o hey, same. Yoga teacher rushes chaturanga. Wish they always demonstrate it step-by-step at the beginning of class.

Thank u so much niomi mam , really helped me ,as I was stuck in elbow ,shoulder .
Even I had shoulder corner pain. Injury.so was droping the idea of learning but your video gave me motivation
I always collapse at the stage 3. without the support of my knees I have no idea how to lower down gracefully.
U need more arm and core strength Dear 💪
I’m with you. I never knew about tilting forward first.
Amazing to have this explained so clearly. Thanks
I have found this move really hard to do and after watching your video I finally got it so thank you so much xxx

Never been this early to Anything :o
I wouldn't put 'easy' to this either: it doesn't reslly break down how precisely one can practice each step, stacking the process pne by one...
Yay
😍
third!
Weird board game
First comment!!
The full chaturanga is too low. The level of pressure on the back for this variation is really damaging.
I get the feeling this is for WOMAN only
Nope
Yoga is for everyone!
