Throwing it BACK to YOGA FOR LOWER BACK PAIN today. Share with someone you love or enjoy this healing sequence for yourself! #preventativecare #findwhatfeelsgood
I love your videos Adriene but could you possibly do some more 30-40 minute videos that are a bit more intensive? I really like your weight loss ones and I try to do 40 minutes a day and get a sweat on but I've done them a lot now! I've been trying other peoples videos but they aren't as comprehensive as yours! :D
Adriene I was in great low back pain. My lower back hurt when I sat, laid down, or walked. I was seriously thinking I may need surgery. A friend of my suggested yoga, I found your video on lower back pain. After 4 days of repeating this video I felt like a different person. I now practice with this video twice a week. This old man who thought the practice of yoga was a bunch of nonsense is now a believer. Thank you for saving me.
I love this digital age where Adrian did this once (or however, long it took) 10 years ago and the effect is still ripping through healing power across the world today.
Such a small thing to be proud of myself for, but when you said “once you feel satisfied” I realized I was NOT satisfied, paused the video, and did the whole cycle a couple more times. I have struggled for a long time to feel connected with my body, and I’m a little proud of myself for listening to it, even in this one little way.
same here. at the end of the video I went back to all the poses where I actually didn't achieve the satisfaction yet and redid them until I felt satisfied
I've learned through Adrienne to embrace the movements, go with the poses that work, scrap the ones that aren't for the day, add fluidity, Rinse and repeat as needed. She really is my favorite yoga teacher, especially for at home videos where we know what we need and have and want vs an in person there to help guide us in the moment. Any issues I have, I look for Adrienne. I really need to work on wake up routines and bedtime routines with her daily.
I've created a UA-cam account just to leave this message. In July 2019 i was climbing a loft ladder that turned out wasn't fixed properly, it broke from under me and I fell about 8 feet straight onto my back, fracturing my spine. I've come across your videos and I cannot begin to put into words what they've done for me. I don't know if you'll ever read this but I feel like I needed you to know what a huge positive impact you've had on my every day life. I trawled through yoga videos, and always found them to be very impersonal and stand offish. When I stumbled across yours I felt so relieved and relaxed, like i was doing yoga with an old friend. My pain is better every day and often i can feel it working literally as I'm doing it. No other youtuber has had that impact on me. It's become my new lockdown routine to have Adriene in the morning and before bed. Your humour and wit has me laughing during the poses sometimes! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for changing and improving my world. X
As someone who has also broken their spine I just want to congratulate you for your effort and achievement in recovering and actually being able to do this! So many people give up and I know its tempting. I'm so inspired by your comment
LONG TIME CONSTRUCTION WORKER HERE- Could not get relief for back pain through Physio or Osteopathy, spent lots of $$$. Been in pain for years. This routine helps a lot. Don’t know yet how it will make me feel after a month, a year? So far it’s been a week of doing this every morning and I feel relief for most of the day. Pain flares back up every morning but I think this is the best it’s been in a while. I like that the movements in this routine are gentle and controlled. The way you speak and the words you use definitely help me to relax as well. Thanks very much Adriene and I genuinely hope you never take this video down. I need it! This is my medicine. Thank you!
Good to hear! I've tweaked mine over the last few years a few times building and bending etc. - latest one was a garden renovation over the past few weeks and I REALLY upset my lower back. Looked on here for something to help and came across this vid. First time I did it I noticed the difference immediately. Repeated this one a good few times, and did some of the other back sessions too - so far, so good - it's getting better. I'm a convert!
Adriene you have been my favorite online yoga workout provider for years because your voice is soothing and non-judgmental and you are gentle and remind people to stop / skip exercises that cause pain and potential harm. This is truly what yoga is about- opening our physical bodies to the spirit of compassion for self and others. Thank you.
Dear Adriene- I have just discovered that your basic yoga videos are priceless. Yoga today is being sold as fancy poses but these videos show us how to use it to heal our body and mind and feel comfortable in our skin. Thank you for being a guiding star! Namaste.
I have watched the first 2 minutes of this video and I have to stop and comment that you are a really very likeable person. That is so important for someone who doesn't really like people in general. Thank you.
Ha, my husband is like that, but even he from the comfort of his spot on the couch, is charmed by Adriene’s personality-although he probably wouldn’t admit it right away... 😉
Bad posture while taking care of my newborn gave me sciatica, followed this twice a day and healed me completely within 2 weeks. My wife just got it bad and she immediately felt relief after 1 session. This is without a doubt the best therapy for sciatica. Thank you Adriene, you're a godsend! ❤️
Nice video, nice guys always remember to activate your bodies before any workout with some light stretching then we're ready to roll with the workout, your body functions better when it's activated. I Always start my tutorials and classes in gyms with a pre-warm up, from 1st gear up to 5th always.
This routine cured my lower back pain. I couldn't sit, stand, walk, hike, I couldn't even lay down flat without feeling a hot, burning, tight, painful sensation. I've been doing this routine for a month but honestly the pain disappeared after a week.
9 years on this was the first Yoga video I ever did. I still return to this one regularly. Any time my lower back is twinging I do this one for a few days in a row. It's amazing.
I just want to let you know that you have changed my life I started doing your yoga videos for lower back pain! I have stuck with it every night for a month and I can see the difference in my health and in my relationship with my body. Thank you so much for these videos ❤
Hi Lexi! I also suffer with lower back problems and I've found that it's REALLY important to strengthen certain areas, alongside doing a stretching programme. There is a really good (and very easy!) 10 minute pilates video on Jessica Valant's channel which was life changing for me. Try it and see how you get on. All the best on your journey back to full strength ❤️
Tell me about it! Working from home since March 2020 messed my back TERRIBLY! Ended up going to physiotherapy and I'm complementing it with Adriene's videos.
Really helped! Currently in quarantine in Spain and this not being able to go out for a walk was hurting by lower back so badly! Very much appreciated XX
Good luck over there from America, stay safe! We’ll be joining y’all in full quarantine soon so thank you for letting me know this’ll help with pain from not walking, your comment is the exact thing I was looking for
Highly recommend this yoga routine for lower back pain! I have been living a sedentary life since March 13th, 2020 and put on 12kg and developed back pain from lack of exercise. Coming from a life that I would complete 30,000 steps per day on my FitBit and visiting the gym 3-5 times a week to zero has deeply effected my health. This workout is my first workout to rehabilitation and it was unbelievable how stiff, compact, tight and piercing my back muscles are from my sacrum to upper shoulders and the transformation and relief I felt after completing this workout. I practiced Iyengar & Hatha yoga for 3 years and Pilates for 2 years, so I adopted a few more asanas inbetween each position and pressed 'pause' on the video to intensify and hold the poses longer. Almost like a Yin Yoga practice. One thing I noticed about this video compared to the ones I've seen with the "Foam Roller for back pain" videos is that Adrienne is very aware of your pain and limitations. She doesn't expect you to do the full pose but gives you a beginner/advanced option which many in the industry forget to implement and newbies become intimidated. A couple of the other videos have you lifting your body straightaway with no warm up or alternative pose for those who are injured. Now, I understand I will have a bit more pain after the workout which is normal considering I am injured and unfit but I already feel remarkably better. A shower, tea and a painkiller is needed and hopefully, I can get off the back pain medication in a week or 2.
Today - is a great day to just begin again. Lots of people in the same boat as yourself. Keep at it.. so many of our yogis have been stuck at home, spending way too much time on the screen (even for yoga!!!) so be kind to yourself and move in every way that calms the nervous system and feels good in your body. Namaste xo
After few months of seeking a back pain treatment, I`ve finally found the best back pain guide for me known as t.co/GZQoiGLijd Because it helped my back pain, I`ve got no difficulty sleeping any more. Very glad with this particular guide. It`s firm and just what I was seeking.
Today is day 4 of my back pain. I did Adriene's Yoga For Back Pain video for the past two days then I discovered this one, which is perfect for my needs. I am slowly recovering; the pain isn't as back as the past two day and I have a greater range of motion. Changing positions is still hard, but Adriene takes it slow in this video, which is exactly what I need. I wish everyone who's following this video healing and pain free backs.
I come back to this sequence every few months whenever I aggravate my low back. It feels like coming home. I am so very thankful for you, Adriene, and the practices that you share with us.
Dear Adriene, For many years I placed my yoga practice in a closet, where it sat unattended. I had forgotten how much I NEEDED yoga in my life and much I LOVED yoga in my life. Your beginners videos brought me back to a practice that elicits so much joy, serenity and PEACE. Blessings to you Adriene! Thank you and Namaste. xo
Hey Adriene ! For the past 6 weeks i suffer from lower back pain. Had enough of meds so i decided to fix the problem and i gotta say, this is me trying Yoga for the first time and it helped ! Thanks a lot. I will continue to follow up your videos. Take care Bart
coming back to this video while dealing with horrendous back pain thanks to my period. it’s so great revisiting Adriene’s older videos. she hasn’t changed ❤️
Dearest Adriene... I don't know how often you check messages, I just wanted you to your yoga for lower back pain saved my life! I was in excruciating lower back pain...I had 2 options get off the couch and m9ve or the ER...I googled yoga for lower back pain and your UA-cam channel was the first one that popped up.....I immediately pressed play, got on the floor and got started....as I was preparing to get on the floor, the pain had me in tears....by the time I finished the video I could move without excruciating pain.....throughout the day I was anticipating horrible pain....it never arised to that! Though I had pain, it was never where it was prior to the video. The next morning I woke up a bit stiff, but not in excruciating pain.....I did your video again and I feel pretty goid! Thank YOU for posting and allowing me to partake in your skills!
Adriene, thank you so much for these videos. I used to go to yoga practice pretty regularly once a week, but then my favourite instructor left and none of the others are as patient and slow as her (and as I need and prefer). Your videos are exactly what I have been looking for: explanatory, slow enough even for those who do any of the poses for the first time, introducing yoga as a complex practice and offering generosity (as opposed to other videos where if you're not a master of flexibility, you're pretty much done before you started). I do one of your videos every day - short and gentler ones when I am too tired or lacking the time (like today), longer and tougher ones if I do find the time. But I try and stick to at least one video per day to keep me going. Your nice way of speaking and balmy sense of humour are the icing of the cake. THANK YOU for your generosity and sharing those videos with us! ❤
Did the sequence with my daughter, however she ignored the instructions and just did happy baby most of the time. I guess this is ok as she is just 4 months old :D
My clients (all at home now!) practice with their kids, their spouses (if they can grab them!), their pets, even their parents. It's such a beautiful practice, mind and body, for all ages. Namaste.
This is the first time i do this video, I've been doing your flow playlist so far but today my lower back pain was too much, after some car accidents and being a DV survivor my body has a lot of pain constantly, I've learned to live with that chronic pain, i JUST finished this video and I can't begin to tell you how much relief i felt! It's been YEARS since I felt absolutely no pain in my lower back area, some days I cannot even stand up or walk but today 😍 i don't feel any pain at all in my lower back! Thank you so so much Adriene for sharing this amazing yoga instructions and the beautiful way we need to connect to our own bodies! Thank you so so so much!
Adrienne I struggled with back pain for a month. This routine for a week, combined with a Thai massage have completely relieved me from the pain. Thank you, thank you thank you!!!!
yes, thats me! working from home sitting on my dining chair has not been so good for my back. might be ordering a real office chair now. so glad this can help.
I cant sit indian style because of the lower back pain. But the jeg stretching really helped my sciatica nerve pain go away. This is what I needed. Bless you
I have had a pain in my lower back for days, I do not use painkillers, so just me and pain (+ quarantine:-), I was becoming a tiger- in-a-cage:-). Has tried this exercise - skipped some parts! but other I did twice and can finally feel some relief. Will do it every day. I also recommend those experiencing any kind of pain Yoga for Chronic Pain which is very gentle and helped me to heal "cold shoulder". At the beginning I could not move my arm an inch, had been doing the exercise daily for a month and now it is almost 100 percent. Thanks a lot Adriene. Especially for your gentleness and patience and reinforcing the message that we should always listen to our body:-)
MY LIFE!!! My VERY first yoga session were I didn't feel forced or out of place... My lower back is such a problem for me that I dred stretching... Like I will literally rather go through the days of pain that follows a full workout without stretching just to avoid the lower back pains of stretching before a workout. It was 1 a.m and my back was killing me and I was just like I need someone to show me how to get a good full stretch in my lower back. After not being able to go more than 2mins in 10 or more other yoga videos I found yours... I'm completely dedicated to doing this a few times throughout the week in order to reap the full benefits. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Adrienne has some brilliant videos for those of us with chronic illnesses and chronic pain, really gentle, she gives us adaptations, and also her voice is so lovely? I highly recommend her gentle morning practice video if you ever have trouble getting out of bed in the morning
I have been coming back to this one for 10 years now. Also the hips and lower back and full body stretch. They're core sequences, and I cannot thank you enough Adriene. You're a gift to humanity.❤
Today, I returned to yoga after a lower back injury, and this practice was exactly what I needed-gentle, supportive, and motivating. I've missed yoga so much! Thank you for transforming my life through your teachings. ❤️
Hi, I'm recovering from an acute lower back pain and this 15 mins session is the only thing that keeps me still standing. Since I've discovered this, it became part of my daily routine when I'm on smartworking and it's the only way to avoid pain. Thank you Adriene, this is magic! 😍
I've been kicking myself for over a year now that I haven't been doing enough yoga. Then the pandemic happened, and I really didn't feel like doing much yoga. Then last week my back tweaked so bad that sitting in chairs was excruciating, and I had to hop two flights across the country. The next day I was in full self-care mode. I started with this video. Today I finally felt well enough to do your Flow video for Flexible Body & Mind. It was exactly what I needed. I decided to hop back to this one to loosen out my back again, and I was able to roll on my back and even push stretches I couldn't do 5 days ago. Thank you so much for your videos. As I've been lamenting that I don't have a studio near me to help me stick with a weekly practice, I'm so glad to have found your channel. Your videos are warm and welcoming, and your sequences are brilliantly executed. Namaste.
I have been coming back to this video for 3 years now and can say that this is the only set of asanas I feel comfortable doing when my lower back hurts...Thank you for creating this, Adriene! :)
NEW EPISODE! YOGA FOR LOWER BACK PAIN - Per your request! Here is a sequence to tend to the lower back. These are great tools to relieve lower back pain, tend to the spine and awesome if you spend a lot of time slumped at a desk. Commit to spine health and (I think) you will be happy! Warning- this video contains NELLY references, a dog swipe and some pelvic thrusts.
Hey Adriene! When looking you up in a search, I noticed that many of your videos were uploaded to the "yogaworld" channel about 13 hours ago. I didn't know if you were aware of and/or authorized this. I enjoy your videos and wanted to make sure that you are receiving proper credit for all you do!!! Namaste :)
I am a day early on the calendar for this practice but it appealed to me. I know so many poor souls with lower back pain that I can pass it on ! It really is a super winner leaving me feeling soothed and strengthened and with your kind gentle words Adriene just perfect. See you tomorrow on the mat 🧘🏼♀️🧘🏻♀️🙏💞
i hated yoga but i got covid and did your anxiety video during my recovery since i couldnt do heavy workouts then started doing yoga from your channel and now my day feels so incomplete without your yoga!
I have used the same app( which I love) for years and have tried yoga videos on UA-cam loads and just never connected but the fact that Adrienne has a lovely way of describing, the song at the beginning made me laugh “ if you wanna come take a ride with me” and there is compassion. I’ll be joining you again x
I love your videos that target specific troublesome areas. I would love a 20-30 minute video that helps the low back, hip, and IT band pain. Thank you for reminding so many to take care of ourselves.
Grateful for this video! Just completed walking the Camino Frances, 520 miles in 40 days. I couldn't have completed it pain-free without doing this video every morning. Thank you Adriene!
I keep coming back to this practice time and time again because sitting at a desk all day is challenging and painful on my body but, this practice really helps keep me feeling well. Thank you, Adriene! Namaste.
Thank you, Adriene, you are appreciated. Yoga has helped me heal my back in the past. I recently aggravated the old injury and found this practice which I’ve done three days in a row. Thank you for creating it and for your authentic, sweet,, and funny self.
I started doing heavier deadlifts over the past few months and was having some lower back tightness/soreness/pain. I discovered this as a great way to stretch before or to relieve in the following days. Thanks!
I used to think that yoga was girly lol but omg the reliefs and better posture, with flexibility I have gotten thank you for your videos. All the way from Guerrero,Mexico
Trying to get my bf to practice yoga with me. His back is the worst I've ever known.. So many knots and very stiff in shoulders and lower back. He is a very hard worker but I can tell it took a toll on his body. He refuses to practice yoga though 🙄🙄
Adriene, thank you so much for the clear and simple instructions. They significantly decreased my lower back pain. Your yoga site is my go to place for relief.
After having online lessons for months I’ve had such a sore lower back and after doing this once I already feel so much better! I’ll be doing this daily now thank you
Returned to this video today and my back feels looser already. Thank you so much Adriene. I’m going to take your advice and do this sequence regularly. 🙏
Ive been dealing with SI joint pain and doing this every morning is the only thing that’s been providing consistent relief and helping me regain my mobility. Thank you!
My lower back was hurting me all day from overdoing it in dance class. This video soothed my back. Thank you Adrienne. I have also used this video for relief after overdoing it on long runs.
Just started a job with amazon..easiest job in the world dealing with small objects weighing no more than 10-20 lbs, but all day I'm on my feet.Found your videos with yoga and goodness I am loving them. Thank you!
Old-Man Parker have you tried meditating on the pain, feeling the sensation as it is withouth wanting it to be gone? I did that today for a couple of minutes before this video, I am on a 7/8 out of 10 at the momentthere is a meditation that help me a lot naturalrestforaddiction.com/guided-body-awareness-meditation/ All the best!
Fell down the stairs on my butt last week. The pain has been migrating through my spine and landed in my hip. Before I called the chiropractor, I thought I'd try a little more time giving my body the chance to heal itself, as it is meant to. Being strong from a regular practice added to a few mornings of this video and I am nearly pain free. Thank you thank you. I'm a lifer. Dealing with pain is just the very smallest of the myriad benefits of yoga.
Your videos are always great. After spending too much time on the computer over lockdown, this has started getting my back back back to normal. Thank you
my backs been hurting a lot since quarantine, since theres a definite drop in activity level! a few days ago i threw it out and didnt know what to do...thank you adrienne!! after one session it feels so much better. youre a quarantine saviour haha
I just cannot thank you ENOUGH Adriene!!! Your lower back pain sessions are AMAZINGLY beneficial. I'm using my core throughout my day too. Mindful Yoga you so expertly teach, making it SO easy for me to carry the principle of Love throughout my day. Many Blessings!!
Thank you soooooooooo much! I recently started a work from home job and have a toddler who's almost 3-years-old. So, I sit the majority of the day and bending over, picking up things for the rest of it. I also had scoliosis surgery when I was 14 and I'm only 36. I've been having lower back pain for almost a week and a great friend of mine suggested that I try yoga. I found this video on UA-cam immediately, did the stretches and everything. Towards the end of the video, I felt a "pop" and it was one of those good pops. omg I feel sooooo much better, more relaxed and I will definitely use these techniques in the future. Thank you so much, Adriene!
Loved that you mentioned the keyword "practice". I've been in pain for a few days and this was a reminder to get back to the sequence more than once rather than a one time thing. Thank you for the healing and having our backs, Adriene. Much love.
love it! I am a runner and a mom and strained my back from too much toddler-picking-up :/ did this sequence after a jog and felt so much relief and much more space and flexibility in my back - Thank you Thank you Thank you!
I had a snowboarding accident in January, its now 5th April and back pain hasnt got any better. I've been doing this for about a week now and I'm seeing improvements. Although my back is in agony after a day at Uni, I don't have to grab on to anything when bending down/reaching for things. I'm hoping that yoga will heal me completely, I'm sick of living in pain
Great Video clip! Forgive me for chiming in, I would love your opinion. Have you researched - Proutklarton Enjoy Playing Plan (should be on google have a look)? It is a smashing one of a kind guide for relieving back pain in just 16 minutes minus the hard work. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my best friend Jordan after many years got astronomical results with it.
Hope you got better. I had an injury like this once and it made me want to commit suicide bc, it hurt so bad and I can take pain like a mofo! So I tell you the pain got so annoying and I hated it!! It even hurt to lift my butt off of the toilet and when I hit speed bumps whilst riding n a vehicle. I got x'rays eventually, went to back therapy and what they called back school and started working on strengthening my core and finally it started to get better after about 3 months. It also didn{t help to be stressed or cold, that made me tighten my back inadvertently and didin{t let it relax like it needed to. I{d consider sauna and muscle relaxers for sleeping, that helped me. Just don{t get addicted. I still have episodes where I pull- strain it again and again 10 years later, usually doing the most minuscule things, go figure. But now when that happens I do my back exercises I learned in back school, strengthen my core always, do low back pain videos like this, and it goes away after about 3 to 5 days. I refused to have surgery as there are lots of risks with back surgery. Best wishes for your recovery.
this is one of my first yoga for the lower back pain I found and I still do, it saved my life. thank you Adriene. I have been doing these and more for over 5 years now, it works.
Awesome and extremely comforting steps. Instantly relieved me from a severe left side lower back pain. Loved the video, a must watch as it's something that truly works....
I could barely move last night and laying in bed was just as painful. But I did this short session and things were greatly improved. It's my go to to make things manageable and allow me to sleep. Thanks Adriene!
Thank you so much for this.... I'm going through a lot of treatment for stuff and to have this almost instantly relieve my back pain this morning has been fantastic...
I tweaked my back recently and was dealing with some crazy pain. Sleeping has been impossible because I’m in so much pain. I’m only 24 so I shouldn’t be having all this pain. But I did this video and almost instantly felt better. I haven’t felt relief in a few day. I’m going to make this a daily routine for me
I don't know how many times this practice save me. My lower back is a little bit tricky and some times it give me some troubles, but this practice is always here to save my day. Thank you Adriene
My dog waits for me while I do yoga. She knows when you end music starts that I am finished. Because this video is older, it doesn't have the music at the end. She was so confused as to why my yoga session wasn't finished like normal. It was funny!
I have a herniated disc that gets pretty bad at times. I know yoga helps, but sometimes don't take the time. This was just what I needed to get back on track!
These gentle moves can absolutely help! If you want to understand WHY yoga helps or how to modify if you feel pain, jump over to my channel: stephanie carter kelley. I'm a PT that uses yoga for treatment of pain.
I've been doing yoga with Adriene for about 5 years now. I love how she keeps it real, and the humor. The "Texas T" and the funny accent :). It helps dissipate some of my anger with that state right now!
I know this is an old video, but i just found your channel while searching for yoga for lower back pain..and oh my goodness...my muscles are really tight, so tight it's really sore to roll from side to side with the knees towards the chest. I assume it will feel better for each time I do this, and this is only the beginning for me. Thank you for this video!
About once a year, I will pull a muscle on my lower back which makes it really difficult to do any physical activity. Whenever that happens, I always come to this video. Ironically, I don't come to this video as often as I used to because of this video.
We all get pains, stress and pains are free. Want to live longer ? We are helping many Cancer Survivors and older folks with daily stress an pains. Watch our video.
Throwing it BACK to YOGA FOR LOWER BACK PAIN today. Share with someone you love or enjoy this healing sequence for yourself! #preventativecare #findwhatfeelsgood
Thank you! :)
Thank you Adriene. I am 31 with the back of a 61 year old woman. Love it!
I need this thank you so much
I just finished following this video for the first time and I really like it. Will sure be doing more. Very positive feeling in my back. Thank you!
Thankyou for this feedback, I’m 22 years old with a crazy amount of lower back pain, definitely going to try doing this! Thanks again
Right there with ya, I’m 23 and have been having terrible lower back pain
@@leahjayjasmineshare your result
24 and still going 🫡
Hoping this helps me ive been in agony with lower back pain 😢
I love this digital age where Adrian did this once (or however, long it took) 10 years ago and the effect is still ripping through healing power across the world today.
Such a small thing to be proud of myself for, but when you said “once you feel satisfied” I realized I was NOT satisfied, paused the video, and did the whole cycle a couple more times. I have struggled for a long time to feel connected with my body, and I’m a little proud of myself for listening to it, even in this one little way.
same here. at the end of the video I went back to all the poses where I actually didn't achieve the satisfaction yet and redid them until I felt satisfied
Wonderful
It is such a beautiful gift to listen and honor the body. The Body is so very intelligent
That’s definitely something i need to work. Thanks for sharing and celebrating with us!
Polly this is the most positive of positive comments that I've ever read! Keep getting better.
As someone who has also broken their spine I just want to congratulate you for your effort and achievement in recovering and actually being able to do this! So many people give up and I know its tempting. I'm so inspired by your comment
Be well soon ☺️
Wish you a steady recovery!
Hope you're feeling better, yoga has our backs : )
Love that phrase: have an Adriene
Maintenance worker here with arthritis in his spine, also would like to check in and say yoga really helps a ton, love this video; my new go to.
Thank you.
🤣
Lmfao mood
I don't like people either, but she wins the award for best stranger I've never met. :)
This was uploaded in 2014. it s 2019 and it s still my go-to video whenever I feel lower backpain
Seriously. This is niiiiiiice.
The same for me. And definitely gonna stick with it in 2020 🥰
What if I told you that if it was truly effective it would provide you with concepts providing you Long lasting results.
Going to try this today 😍👌🏼
Nice video, nice guys always remember to activate your bodies before any workout with some light stretching then we're ready to roll with the workout, your body functions better when it's activated. I Always start my tutorials and classes in gyms with a pre-warm up, from 1st gear up to 5th always.
This routine cured my lower back pain. I couldn't sit, stand, walk, hike, I couldn't even lay down flat without feeling a hot, burning, tight, painful sensation. I've been doing this routine for a month but honestly the pain disappeared after a week.
Yes
Im in the same situation. I love hiking and cant even walk right now. How do you feel 2 years later? Going to try this
👍🏻
When you lay on your back, put a pillow behind your knees - it helps so much! And if you're a side sleeper put a pillow or two between your knees.
And don't forget strengthening exercises!
9 years on this was the first Yoga video I ever did. I still return to this one regularly. Any time my lower back is twinging I do this one for a few days in a row. It's amazing.
I have been watching this video for 7 years. Thank you
I just want to let you know that you have changed my life I started doing your yoga videos for lower back pain!
Thanks!
It's reassuring to know I'm not the only one who messed up their back during quarantine.
Haha, same 😅
Me too, while doing Head-stand!!
Mine was always messed up, but it's feeling better thanks to this video!
My posture got so bad from not moving I'm 17 and I have so much back pain this video really does help
We’ll be joining y’all in full quarantine soon so thank you for letting me know this’ll help with pain from not walking, your comment is the exact thing I was looking for
Same - being quarantined in Germany. Stay safe!
Same but being quarantined in Brazil! Stay safe and at home y'all. ❤
@@oliverb-mg9759 Same but being quarantined in Kuwait! Stay safe and at home y'all. ❤
Austrian Quarentine here! Stay safe people!
Adrienne has a video for every single need that exists. She is my unofficial healer
Same!
I come back to this sequence every few months whenever I aggravate my low back. It feels like coming home. I am so very thankful for you, Adriene, and the practices that you share with us.
This is my go-to practice whenever my lower back starts feeling like “crabby crap crap”! Works wonders every time. Thank you, Adrienne! 🧘
Take care
Bart
+Bart Fiedorowicz It's been 2 months. How is your back now Bart?
Go for it - after a year of yoga I am free from lower back pain.. just keep going
coming back to this video while dealing with horrendous back pain thanks to my period. it’s so great revisiting Adriene’s older videos. she hasn’t changed ❤️
Oh sweet xx
LOL!!!
My clients (all at home now!) practice with their kids, their spouses (if they can grab them!), their pets, even their parents. It's such a beautiful practice, mind and body, for all ages. Namaste.
My dogs does the same thing except they really like downward facing dog and child pose
That is so precious! You set us up so well, Mikael! Keep up your YWA❗️
💜🙏
I just wanted to wish you all the best! And that you continue to feel better 💜😊
Adrienne I struggled with back pain for a month. This routine for a week, combined with a Thai massage have completely relieved me from the pain. Thank you, thank you thank you!!!!
Anybody here during COVID quarantine to get help from Adriene on an ailing lower back?
Here from Oregon USA
yes, thats me! working from home sitting on my dining chair has not been so good for my back. might be ordering a real office chair now. so glad this can help.
I'm here from Seattle, USA.
Yes, here in pain after being pain free. Annoying.
I was putting laundry away and stood up wrong.
Adriene, 3 years later and this is still healing and amazing. Thank you for continuing to put out great work. You are clearly gifted!

It was a bit difficult for me, but I did it. I felt a lot better after. thanks for this. :)
Sir Isaac has this healed your back through time?
Here's how I was able to cure my back pain and how you can too: HootBack.info
Yo yoga is tight asf man more people should do this lol

‘Tight asf’ lol i love that

Today, I returned to yoga after a lower back injury, and this practice was exactly what I needed-gentle, supportive, and motivating. I've missed yoga so much! Thank you for transforming my life through your teachings. ❤️
After a sleepless night caused by lower back pain, this brought great relief. Thank you Adriene.
Hi, I'm recovering from an acute lower back pain and this 15 mins session is the only thing that keeps me still standing. Since I've discovered this, it became part of my daily routine when I'm on smartworking and it's the only way to avoid pain. Thank you Adriene, this is magic! 😍
Hey did it help you ?
@@ivansirko1077 yes it did. After a quick session before work I feel my back completely different. You should try it
I've been kicking myself for over a year now that I haven't been doing enough yoga.
Amazing!!! Thanks Adriane!!
Namaste :)
Thank you!! Finally something that works and it's easy!!
Maria Diaz My pleasure, enjoyyy!
Evelyn A Hmm, I don't see what you are talking about....BUT I appreciate the support and look out! Love to you!
I deal with lower back pain and sciatica. You have no idea - how much this has helped me relieve some of the pain . Thank you so much ❤
I love your videos that target specific troublesome areas.
Namaste.
The amount of times I revisit this practice for consistent and soothing relief is crazy man
Ty Adriene
I’ve used this for years. It’s been such a blessing. It’s kept me in the game for my family so many times. Thank you Adriene!!
My lower back has been hurting a bit these past few days, so this practice was simply outstanding for lower back pain ❤️ You're the BEST, Adriene!!
Adriene, thank you so much for the clear and simple instructions. They significantly decreased my lower back pain. Your yoga site is my go to place for relief.
Every time I have a lower back pain I come back to this video. I feel so much better after this. Amazing!
After having online lessons for months I’ve had such a sore lower back and after doing this once I already feel so much better! I’ll be doing this daily now thank you
First off, i never leave comments on UA-cam. But this is absolutely awesome. My back feels so much better and looser. Thank you 🙌🏾
Having some low days , trying to keep showing up on the mat. This practices was exactly what I need. My low back is very thankful.
lower back pain accompanied me for 10 years. I wake up without pain after doing this set. thank you

Thank you!
I am glad you get all these comments so you know how much this heals us. Thank you so much 💜
My lower back was hurting me all day from overdoing it in dance class.
Thank you!
day 6. Back feels less tight. can do these easier now. less pain . That is good.
Still doing it, no choice. Still suffering from chronic pain. It has not gotten rid of the pain, but I still have hope it will eventually help.
Old-Man Parker How is your back now? Do you find this is definitely helping? Or is it hindering progress now?
Old-Man Parker have you tried meditating on the pain, feeling the sensation as it is withouth wanting it to be gone? I did that today for a couple of minutes before this video, I am on a 7/8 out of 10 at the momentthere is a meditation that help me a lot

All the best!
Frank Henry such a good idea.
how is your back now?
Fell down the stairs on my butt last week. The pain has been migrating through my spine and landed in my hip. Before I called the chiropractor, I thought I'd try a little more time giving my body the chance to heal itself, as it is meant to. Being strong from a regular practice added to a few mornings of this video and I am nearly pain free. Thank you thank you. I'm a lifer. Dealing with pain is just the very smallest of the myriad benefits of yoga.
Your videos are always great. After spending too much time on the computer over lockdown, this has started getting my back back back to normal. Thank you
This is a blessing. Scolio sucks but this makes my back super light after doing this.
my backs been hurting a lot since quarantine, since theres a definite drop in activity level! a few days ago i threw it out and didnt know what to do...thank you adrienne!! after one session it feels so much better. youre a quarantine saviour haha
I now have a yoga with Adriene for every problem I ever come across in fitness. This helped me so much today ! :) thank u
I am so glad you found some relief Lauren! Keep rockin on mama!
I had a snowboarding accident in January, its now 5th April and back pain hasnt got any better. I've been doing this for about a week now and I'm seeing improvements. Although my back is in agony after a day at Uni, I don't have to grab on to anything when bending down/reaching for things. I'm hoping that yoga will heal me completely, I'm sick of living in pain
hope you are doing well now !
Best wishes for your recovery.
lillovebuglily : Have you try to go to chiropractor?
snowboarding injury brought me here too
this is one of my first yoga for the lower back pain I found and I still do, it saved my life. thank you Adriene.
This is always a go to when my lower back gets tight and it always releases it. Amazing.
I use this video every night to loosen up stiff muscles before bedtime so I can sleep. Love this yoga sequence!!
I tweaked my back recently and was dealing with some crazy pain. Sleeping has been impossible because I’m in so much pain. I’m only 24 so I shouldn’t be having all this pain. But I did this video and almost instantly felt better. I haven’t felt relief in a few day. I’m going to make this a daily routine for me
I don't usually comment. But I had to since this changed my life. Thanks a lot
I don't know how many times this practice save me.
My lower back is a little bit tricky and some times it give me some troubles, but this practice is always here to save my day. Thank you Adriene
Ok, so you're hilarious. Love the commentary.
Any suggestions for glute pain? Roughly around the sit bone area?

My dog waits for me while I do yoga. She knows when you end music starts that I am finished. Because this video is older, it doesn't have the music at the end. She was so confused as to why my yoga session wasn't finished like normal. It was funny!
I don't usually have back pain but today lifted something the wrong way lol I feel much better now Thank you!!!
I have a herniated disc that gets pretty bad at times. I know yoga helps, but sometimes don't take the time. This was just what I needed to get back on track!
I had a slipped disc last year... So just wanted to know will this help?
These gentle moves can absolutely help! If you want to understand WHY yoga helps or how to modify if you feel pain, jump over to my channel: stephanie carter kelley. I'm a PT that uses yoga for treatment of pain.
Adriene! This was a lifesaver! Well, back saver. Thanks girl! You are THE best and this was perfection! Just right for a beginner such as myself.
I’ve suffered from lower back pain for 4 years now and this video really helped to loosen my back up. Thank you so much for this :)
