Everytime We Touch needs to be the next one imo. Electric Callboy has changed my life and I now garden like them. Only had cops call once.
HAHAHAHAHA!
How many genres will be in this song?
ECB: Yes!
Döp Core
Party Core
Pigeon Core
Gardening Core
Bush Core
Waterspraying Core
…
Ha!!!
It’s their second song in the döp core genre
Ha!!!! has a "translate to english" option😂 @@teckreactions
They changed their name from Eskimo Callboy to Electric callboy :D
Got it.
@@teckreactionsThey did not realize eskimo was offensive to some people. When they learned that, they chose to change the band name.
@@deed5811 it can be so easy, right? No one blames you for not knowing, only for staying ignorant. That's what I noticed from that. The Inuit social organization that reached out to them didn't took it bad, they explained why its offensive because it's colonial heritage, the EC reacted properly and everyone is cool about it. Pun intended.
Can’t believe this didn’t pop up for me straight away. 😮. Finally saw it. 😂😂😂😂. Knew you would love Electric Callboy. You cannot watch them and not smile 😊😊😊. Glad you enjoyed them. Hypa Hypa, Every time we touch…… they are brilliant. 😊😊😊
It was held up in copyright and just went live.
@@teckreactions OOh, btw. If it keeps getting hold up by copyright, or in future reactions. Just contact the band on their social or I think they have an email on their website. And they will get it removed. The band loves reactions. They have done a few themselves and got copyrighted by reacting to reactions to their music so. xD
@@marita2g Exactly.
You just need to contact them and the will organize to put the channel on a white list for their videos.
As you said the guys love the reactions and when they have time they will react to some by themself and having a good time.
I think that was the way they initially got known to Tank and after an interview and some more time he became their tour manager.
@@patrickdasp5609 yeah! And I love that it went that way with Tank too! He fits so well with them. I hope he becomes a permanent part of their crew. 🥰🤞🏻
@@marita2g Pretty good chance he will. He's even considered moving to Germany
Love an educated reaction! Also love EC first-timers 😀 Watching confusion turn into appreciation is so satisfying. That first hesitating smile, like "is this fun? seems like fun..."
Glad you enjoyed!
They also a good Liveband. High energie, fun and great connection to the people.
I bet they are!
It is not a cup, it's a COCKTAIL! and they are not trying to be chickens, they invented pigeoning
Haha!
I think it's "We don't need no club, all we need is the sun." Welcome to Electric Callboy. You're about to have a lot of fun!
Bring it on!
Yes, it's a "summer on the beach" song.
I could be wrong but I think the line is "We don't need no club, all we need is this song"
That's my take anyway.
@@feintcircles other lines refer to “hot sand under my feet”, “summertime memories” and “sipping on booze on a sunny beach”, so “sun” makes the most sense to me.
@@JudgeMingus That's fair.
"Upbeat" is the perfect descriptor for this band. The head move is officially called "pigeoning", no one can resist it.
This was shot during the pandemic as a handy excuse to have a party - business meetings up to 20 people were allowed after all ;-)
Super funny.
My son introduced me to electric callboy. Such a fun song. Glad you enjoyed it! Every time we touch is a good one too!
Rock on!
Can't go wrong with Electric Callboy ❤
It was fun!
Gave your reaction a like because I want to increase it's visibility. When I am in a bad mood an Electric Callboy reaction allways brightens my day. But yours was especially interesting since you discussed some technical aspects I would only recognise subconsciously. In addition to have fun of course.
Thanks!
Doing the same since 2020 😁🥰
As a drummer you should be excited about their drummer David..not only is he an amazing drummer but they find great ways to have him do things that normally you wouldn't see a drummer doing during videos..case in point..during the programmed low kick that starts the bridge he picks up the small kick drum and beats it by hand to the rhythm. I suggest Hypa Hypa next as he does several great things during that video. I would recommend a couple play throughs to catch all of the different things but you already did it in this video and pointed out that you wanted to go through another part for a specific instrument. The into to Hypa Hypa uses programmed drums so instead of sitting behind the kit until he actually starts playing he stands besides his kit doing hip thrusts. Also does this live so he is maximizing entertainment value while he isn't actively playing the drums. And I give him kudos for having pre-recorded drums instead of having to play everything. In Hypa Hypa I'd want to point out the bridge where he does something hilarious that some people seem to miss in their reaction videos although they show him doing it twice. They do have some serious bangers (Crystals...as Eskimo Callboy with their former singer and Parasite and especially Mindreader on their recent album) Although missing out on the humor elements Mindreader is a favorite of mine but otherwise most of their videos are intentionally hilarious.
Looking forward to it.
Electric callboy are amazing! The entire tekkno album is brilliant!
Sweet!
Enjoy their whole back catalogue of music 🎉
These guys are so much fun. They don’t take themselves seriously but take what they do seriously. Can’t wait till you see Hurrikan lol…it’s a very very special treat!
Looking forward to it!
Really enjoyed this not just for your appreciation but also your analysis! Everyone else has left great recs (seconding Everytime We Touch) but if youre a drummer you HAVE to see the drum solo David does during live shows - search "Kurwa Song live in Cologne" and youll find it. (big ups to the dtum tech Chrizzly too because the kit itself sounds GORGEOUS). MC Thunder Live is also great - the audience participation is insanely fun, having been to 3 of their shows!
Welcome to the rabbit hole!
Will do! Thanks!
I could be wrong but isn't the solo track based on fans reactions to them covering Every Time We Touch? In the comments on their official video of the song people asked "What's next? Sandstorm???" Hmm it may pre-date the comment but either way it makes sense that they put that solo together. And of course he killed it when I saw them here in Denver!
@@CMSnyder80 I'm not sure that makes sense chronologically because ETWT came out summer 23 but the drum solo far predates that - they were doing it since the beginning of the TEKKNO tour in Europe. But yeah it's a perfect solo and they do an amazing job! I live in Germany and got to hear it 3 times in the last month :D
The only funny part is that at one show (not one I attended) he apparently forgot the final rimshot xD
Seconding "Kurwa Song" / Sandstorm Solo!
There is some great live footage of folk going *bonkers* to this at their gigs - proper goosebumps when *everyone* is -soccer- football-chanting along with the "Naa, na na na na"s!! :)
I'd love to see it!
Hello, german Electric Callboy fan here! For me they were the first group I got into who do that kind of music. The melodies where what drew me in first and I learned to love the rest pretty quickly after.
I always love to get an inside of music from actual musicians and I think you did a pretty good job. I can recommend about every other song from them to react to. They're great and super funny as well. They don't take themself too seriously but they take their music very seriously if that makes sense.
Looking forward to it!
Who else do you like in this style??? I'm a huge fan of "fear and loathing in last Vegas" I think they do the best of this rave metal style
@@scottrobertson2426 i honestly don't know this genre enough to really categorize any other groups into it. I don't even know what genre electric callboy would be
@@menina6318 thanks for responding anyway. Try listening the "the gong of knockout" by fear and loathing on last Vegas. It's BONKERS. take electric callboy then mix that with more shredding and j-pop vocals along with the screaming. Live they're just as nuts too
@@scottrobertson2426 I'm not sure. I don't know many, if any, bands in this style.
They are also 6 band members, and 2 of them are singers. :D
Ahhhhh.
No one expects a breakdown after a breakdown into a breakdown out.
Such a banger song
It is.
Hypa Hypa
Pump It
Tekkno Train
Spaceman
Hurrikan
They also do serious tracks: Mindreader, Parasite (more disco high hat in this one), Hate/Love
Anything from the TEKKNO album is a winner. And I would personally appreciate a reaction to Castrop X Spandau. It gets overlooked often because it's all in German.
Also highly recommend checking out their vlogs. They are not only super talented and hilarious, but they are truly great and humble people.

@@teckreactions Tekkno Train is dope!
All of this!
You have to listen to Mindreader and Hate Love for some of their serious songs
Word.
ECB is absolutely amazing. Its all happiness and jams even in the worst moments they have (which are better than so many good band moments!)
I have been waiting for this reaction from you! Please continue to go down the Electric Callboy rabbit hole! 😁 you are doing great with your channel, keep it up, buddy!!
Thank you! Will do!
"It's It's it's. " Yeah, it is.😜
Haha!
You'd probably like their "Drum Solo / Kurwa Song - Live in Cologne (Lanxess Arena 2023)". Drummer David Friedrich plays it over a remix of Darude's Sandstorm (the Kurwa Song title is an inside joke from their vlogs).
Their song Arrow of Love was described as "Eifel 65 metal" by some reactors. The clip is one of their storytelling videos in which the band doesn't appear (they do cameos in some of those) but have popular German youtubers as the main actor, in the case of AoL it's Kalle aka Kalle Koschinsky, with whom they've already worked prior .
Cool!
Absolutely agreed, I saw David's drum solo live in Berlin and it's awesome. They're actually THAT good live. Also everything they do is DIY, they have degrees in music and cinematography and their vlogs/behind the scenes are pure fun. :) Great analysis btw.!
Not sure why this hasn't had more traffic unless the post time is wrong. The band changed names for respect, so they are now Electric Callboy. 2 vocalists and a band that blends things from multiple genres. Each video has a different theme, with the band normally following some thematic hair, style, and/or attire. Most of their stuff is something you could jam in a gym or during a workout, leading to some calling them Gymcore.
Keep up the reactions. EC is a fun group and you don't really need a crowd compass to find a great video to digest. The live sets are normally full of crowds chanting duh-da dudu da. Just a German group having and encouraging fun while blending genres.
YEah he commented on my comment, I asked about the same. I think UA-cam is glitching. He said it went live an hour ago.
one thing I love about these guys, is that they take their music seriously, but not themselves. they love to have a good time and it really shows. also, I'm guessing it's already been answered but at the start when you're asking about the name, it's because they were originally called Eskimo callboy, but they changed their name when they found out about the negative connotations around the word.
That makes sense.
Your reaction was so much fun, plus it was informative and interesting. Thanks for this! EC is pure joy.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Eskimo is actually an offensive term for Inuit people. Most of the world is unaware of this. I always thought it was just a word for tribal people in Alaska and Northern Canada, but when I visited Alaska a tour guide informed us that while 99% of people don't know it that term is insulting and the tribes don't like it. If I'm an American who didn't know that there's know way a bunch of Germans would. They did find out one day and decided it's best to change the name a bit.
I did not know it was an offensive term.
@@teckreactionsi never would have if not for a trip up there. Nobody south of Canada uses it in an insulting way but the natives up there don't like it for reasons I don't know
@@teckreactionsso this got me to go and look it up: the main thing is that when inuit land was being colonized the Europeans would use this term as a catch all for arctic peoples, and they didn't really have many nice things to say as you can imagine. The people up there began to associate being called that with being mistreated.
It looks like the word in and of itself isn't anything bad, but they really don't like it because of historic usage. I'd guess that 99% of people using the term don't mean anything bad by it.
Oh boy you're in for a treat with Electric Callboy!!! Please enjoy the silliness of the videos with the seriousness of awesome songs, musicianship and songwriting! They are amazing live too. Saw them late last year in Australia in a 2000 seat club and they were fantastic.
Hypa Hypa drops today. My face is still red.
this song was made during the covid lockdowns - that shows in the lyrics.
Interesting.
I'm so happy to see another Christian man liking this band. They've become my favorite and I wasn't sure how i felt exactly. But God comes first. Nothing wrong with a little hard metal every now and then
Absolutely

EC found out their name might be offensive to native Innuit peoples, so they jumped in with some research, which they filmed, and unanimously decided to change their name to Electric Callboy. And so it was. They really are nice humans. - Edit: there are 6 band members.
That makes sense.

Uh oh. I’ll add it to
Every time we touch is one of there newer music videos and it is fantastic.
Most of electric callboy's music is fun and whimsical but when broken down musically is complex
I love it.
Oh boy Electric Callboy is so much fun, they are silly and weird with their videos but they are actually very good musicians and they know what works. You have to see their cover of Everytime we touch from Cascada, also some other good ones are Spaceman, Hypa Hypa, Tekkno Train.

Electric Callboy is such a treat, and so fun to listen to. Next you need to listen to "Hypa Hypa", "Spaceman", "Tekno Train" and their cover of "Every Time We Touch".
If you want another fun interesting band to check out, I'd recommend Band-Maid. I'd recommend going into them blind and either checking out their "Domination (Official Live Video)", "Dice (Official Music Video)". Or check out "Freedom (Official Live Video)" for the drumming. I have a feeling from you other reactions that you'd find them interesting.

The lyrics actually are "We don't need no club, all we need is the sun".
Ahhhh
fun fact in germany that haircut is called a pony so they had that minihorse or a pony with a pony lol
That’s funny
You should watch the drummers solo live to sandstorm. It's posted on their channel.
Sweet
If you like this type of genre mixing, try the Australian version… they are called "Twelve Foot Ninja". A good start would be their song "One hand killing" or "Over and Out" featuring Tatiana from Jinjer.
Cool
hiatus kaiyote would be a great group to check out
In the early years the band name was "Eskimo Callboy" which was weird, but innocent. Some fans said that could be discriminative, so they changed it to "Electric Callback".
The haircut was typical for medieval monks, but here has no deeper meaning, besides catching your attention and symbolising that everybody is drawn into the mood, even the pony and the police guys.
Funny that you got the shape of the bottle, watching the first scene only a second time. Most of their songs have sexual allusions. Here it's also at the transition from day to night. What he does is called "licking the bush".
Their most "classic" song and break-through piece is "Hypa Hypa", 90s disco mixed with metal. They produced abt. 6 cover versions in different music genres, classic chamber music, country and western, medieval folk music, German Schlager (a specific kind of pop music) etc. -- fun stuff.
Later songs are "Pump it" about body building, "Techno Train", "Every time We Touch" (a parody of a German 90s pop song, which had some success in the US, but nearly nil in Germany).
Looking forward to next one.
Fun fact: it took them 24hrs to write and mix the song and another 24hrs to produce the video.😂

(P.S. I never noticed the shape of the cup before.... THANKS.)
Looking forward to more.
The band started in 2010 as Eskimo Callboy
so some of their songs still have that moniker on them
They have renamed to Electric Callboy
because "Eskimo" is like the N-word to
the Inuit and Yupik peoples in the circumpolar region
so they changed to Electric Callboy.
Their breakthrough hit was "Hypa Hypa"
which you might like to check out:
ua-cam.com/video/75Mw8r5gW8E/v-deo.html
and they (because of the pandemic) made
SEVEN covers of this song with other groups:
- folk metal version - with Saltatio Mortis
- pop song - with a German pop singer called Sasha
- German hip hop - with 257ers
- a DJ version - with Gestört aber geil
- a Country version - with The BossHoss from Berlin
- a comedy metal-core version - with We Butter The Bread With Butter
- and the one with Axel One.
Well worth a dive into at some point.
Interesting.
Do Hypa Hypa next :D

You talked about covering a song
and one of their recent releases (June/July 2023)
was their reimagining of
what I reliably informed is an EDM classic
"Everytime We Touch" the version by Cascada
I think from 2006.
It is worth checking out:
ua-cam.com/video/AuBXeF5acqE/v-deo.html
The hairstyle of the wigs is called in German "der Pony"
hence why they had a pony with a Pony in the video.
The person at the end is the boyfriend of one of the sisters of a band member
and is called Patrick and he appears
in their Gym inspired song called "Pump It"
ua-cam.com/video/OnzkhQsmSag/v-deo.html
BTW I discovered this band from them being compared to
the Finnish entry in last years Eurovision Song Contest
called "Cha Cha Cha" by Käärijä.
But I think that was a lot to do with the hairstyle LOL

Welcome to "Partycore" music. You've just scratched the surface with this song. They were originally called Eskimo Callboy but changed to Electric Callboy when they found out that the word Eskimo interprets to Eaters of Raw Fish and is considered offensive to the Inuit people.
Looking forward to me.
Listen to anything by Electric Callboy (or at least anything from their most recent EP and LP, which is when they got the new cleans singer, Nico) and you will have a good time. Can't listen to EC and not have fun and want to dance.
Since you have been doing a lot of trilogies, I noticed, and since you mentioned playing some heavier music when you were younger, you should check out Lorna Shore's "Pain Remains" trilogy. Their latest LP is called Pain Remains, and the last three songs make up the Pain Remains suite. The videos they released for them are incredibly cinematic, and complement the music perfectly, really highlighting the range of emotional depth possible in heavy music. Obviously the official videos are good to watch for the benefit of the band, but a fan has stitched all three videos together and provided lyrics, which are really helpful, especially for the type of critical analysis you do... If you don't want to do that video then just work with what images and lyrics you catch, don't read them ahead, the songs are just best experienced...
Sounds fun!
They got the moose.
🤣
They were0 Eskimo Callboy, at the time this video was made, until some time afterwards. At some point, after this video was made, some people from the "easily offended crowd" made some noise, so they changed their name to Electric Callboy.
Ahhh
Next band for your channel could be "Nightwish". They will blow up your channel and you're going to love them for sure.
They are a symphonic metal band from Finland. Their mastermind / composer Tuomas is also called "Metal Mozart". And this is a highly deserved title.
The best way to get into this huge rabbit hole is "Ghost Love Score" from Wacken 2013 (ahead of 82.000 people at this festival in Northern Germany).
As soon as you react to this band, the "Nightwish Army" will appear. And this fan base is huge. And Gabriel will introduce you to the band, their history and provide a superb title list.
As a fan, listener and photographer of the gothic scene I saw and shot Nightwish in 2013 and 2015 at M'era Luna Festival.
The catalogue of this band is so great and consists only of gems! There is so much for you to discover.
On your possible journey you'd experience folk vibes (e.g. "I want my Tears Back" from Buenos Aires), uplifting songs (like e.g. „Alpenglow"), fast and furios songs (like e.g. "Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean" from Buenos Aires), heavy ones (like e.g. "Yours is an empty hope" from Wembley or „Tribal“ (official live), powerful ones (like e.g. "Weak Fantasy" from Tampere), very emotional ones (like e.g. "Dead Boys Poem" from Buenos Aires), headbanging songs (like e.g. "Song of Myself" from Wacken), ...
And of course the two epic masterpieces
"The Greatest Show on Earth" from either Tampere or Wembley (it's about the evolution of live and mankind)
"The Poet and the Pendulum" for which you for sure should read the backstory first
Their last album "Human :II: Nature" is a masterpiece of it's own and very different from all the former stuff.
Tuomas is the keyboarder, Songwriter, composer.
Marco was - he resigned vey unfortunately) playing the bass and doing also the vocals. He is very versatile and an awesome singer as well. You might watch „The Islander“ from Tampere to experience this. His part was taken over by Jukka from Wintersun.
Emppu is playing the guitar. He can shred it but he always does exactly that much, that is required by the song.
Kai (also Wintersun) is now at the drums and replaced the original drummer Jukka (whom you saw here) who had stop playing the drums due to health issues. But he still is with the band. Jukka was a perfect drummer and showman, Kai is a perfect drummer and a machine and beast at the drums.
Then there is Troy, a multi instrumentalist from England who in older performances supported the band at some tracks but became luckily a full member of the band after this tour. He‘s a great singer as well.
Last but not least there is Floor, the Dutch singer. She is the bands third singer after Tarja (operatic) and Annett from Sweden (pop/rock). She can sing really everything from opera over pop/ rock to growls
Floor Jansen? I saw her perform Phantom of the Opera but I don’t think I’ve heard Nightwish.

@@teckreactions Dog and Butterfly - Heart, She's Leaving Home - The Beatles, Welcome to the Machine - Pink Floyd, Bastille Day - RUSH, Immigrant Song - Led Zeppelin. Speaking of which, you should react to Angelina Jordan's - Bohemian Rhapsody covery on AGT if you haven't already. (I'm going through your reactions and may have missed it) That'll get a ton of views and grow your channel.
Actualy the PERFECT song for you to react to as a drummer is Clowncore's Earth. It's the future of jazz.

(I don't know if you're from Germany but I chose it because it's a large country, Europe-wise, plus EC is from there.) But don't pretend that having a tiny grill and a tiny drumset is normal. The band is deliberately using toy versions of everything here. Even the horse is miniature.
