I can totally relate to you saying there's something about their harsh vocals that is enjoyable. You said it was the layering in the production, and while this is true, one thing I've also noticed is that Nico and Kevin tend to have a wonderful harmonization of their harsh vocals. Something about both of their harsh tones together just clicks. It's harder to notice in their fully produced tracks because there is layering in there as well, but it's easier to hear it in their live performances. If you check out a few of their live videos, I think you might see what I mean. It was a eureka moment for me when I realized that they are actually harmonizing their harsh vocals. I think it's the first time I've noticed a band doing that, and it just works so well.
EC brings me so much joy, too. I can't explain how, but as you said, their happy personalities shine through in their songs. It's really something special.
I hope you can catch one of their shows in the states this May. I'm seeing them for the first time in Canada. I can't wait!

Joy and fun - those are the words to describe the experience of EC. Even the screaming is joyful. The concerts are a party!

There's nothing like Kevin screaming sweet nothings in you ear.

Just like on your previous reaction, thanks again for bringing your musical ear to Electric Callboy, and making me hear stuff that I never (consciously) heard before -- in this case, the singing "misdirection" happening during the breakdown. It's a testament to both you and the band that even after hundreds of listens, I can still discover new things! I hope you continue your exploration of EC, at whatever pace you enjoy! Peace 💚

I love everything EC is about too! Well said 😊 From watching their vlogs and Tank’s behind the scenes perspective TMing last year in NA it’s clear that they love what they’re doing and their team. They are incredibly gracious and collaborative - they elevate everyone they create music with. The love is full on and that’s why we feel so much joy listening to them. ❤❤❤

The poppy fraying effect in the vocals (at the beginning) is called "vocal fry." Definitely an important touch in the intro here.

If you like to look into them live, check out We Got The Moves Live in Denver, CO (US Tour 2023)

And for another humorous German metal band doing a cover of a 2000s dance hit (but in a totally different style than EC), check out Feuerschwanz (foy-air-shvantz) and their version of the infamous Dragostea Din Tei (aka the Numa Numa song) original by Moldovan boy group O-Zone.

This video has the studio version on audio and live footage of the 70000 Tons of Metal 2023 cruise.
By the way, the twitch link on your info page is not working properly.

Their North American tour in 2024
will be in the North-Eastern USA
    and Eastern Canada
They did a tour in the fall of 2023
that covered more of the country
though they didn't go into the South-East of the US.
I am sure they will be back after they release their next album.

I liked it ... the song and your reaction! :) thanks for sharing!
The only thing I didn't liked was the "RikkyRocks"-Logo (!?) constantly chaning the colour. The animation disturbed me the whole time!
I only have gladly two eyes ... I can watch the original video and the reaction at the same time! The animation really disturbed my viewing! < that's just as a feedback ... :)
Everything else: perfect! Just how I like reaction videos! :)
P.S.: You don't have to change it - I just wanted to mention it - and maybe I am the only one who got disturbed by it! ^^+gg XD

Weirdly you are like my partner
    we go to the opera
and my partner sometimes shuts his eyes
and is focusing on the music
whereas for me the visual feast is the important thing
He can tell when something is sung well
    missed notes or poor phrasing.
I remember when the set, costumes or staging helps or hinders
the opera even the surtitles over the stage LOL
For me an EC song has lots of musical techniques
(which I only know because folks like you point them out)
but also visual nuggets that make it entertaining.
BTW have you done the Hypa Hypsa yet?
